Slovní zásoba dětí mladšího školního věku / Vocabulary of children of primary school age

This thesis is focused on the evaluation of lexical-semantic level in primary school children. Vocabulary is tested in a population of children with and without the postponement of compulsory schooling. Diagnostic testing is done with the help of an own research tool. A part-of-speech analysis of spontaneous speech is done with a specific goal of monitoring the performance in the area of perception and preposition use. The data is further analysed using methods of both relational and descriptive statistics. Methods and forms of work used for vocabulary development in pre-school children and first grades are explored through interviews with teachers. All the findings should help monitor the vocabulary in primary school children's speech. The research tool used in the testing also functions as a practical and didactical tool for the development of vocabulary focused on perception and preposition use.

This Master's thesis is focused on concept of a succsessful pupil at a primary school at inclusive education from the point of view of a teacher. Thesis is devided on a theoretic and practical part. First part of the thesis involves theoretical basis for concept of a successful student. Qualitative research was utilized to answer the research questions through interviews with a small group of respondents who were teachers from elementary school and were divided into two groups by teaching experience. The research was supplemented with questions about my self-reflection of developments regarding the concept of a successful student. It was found out how primary school teachers perceive a successful student and how strong the influence of the school environment on this conception. The work aims to map the curriculum of nutrition and its anchoring in educational programs and through a questionnaire survey to find out whether the content of the curriculum is sufficiently developed for primary school teachers, i.e. whether it is effective in their practice. The theoretical part summarizes the information concerning the nutrition of children of younger school age, focusing mainly on the principles of proper nutrition, building healthy eating habits, which significantly contribute to their future health and may have a preventive character from development of diseases. One of the many possible ways of prevention is teaching nutrition in primary schools with the help of appropriate teaching methods, activities, and the use of nutritional lecture programs, which this work mentions. The practical part contains a questionnaire survey, in which it examines the relationship of teachers to the teaching of nutrition, focusing mainly on their views on the anchoring of the curriculum in educational programs. The resulting data are recorded in tables and graphs, which are accompanied by a commentary. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of physical activity levels in younger and older school-age children. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to defining the concept of physical activity and other basic concepts related to it. It deals in more detail with the importance of physical activity for human health and proper development. It mentions the danger of physical inactivity and summarises the current valid knowledge regarding the recommended amount of physical activity. The theoretical part also contains the definition of the school-age period and characterises its specifics, regarding the content of thesis, especially in the field of physical development, which occurs in the younger and older school-age period. The thesis deals with the problematics of movement versatility of younger school children at school PT and athletic sport training. The main target is using testing for measuring level of motor skills all round development. The theoretical part contains the description of terms as motor skills, practical training and its didactic aspects, all round development, effect of exercise on health, younger school children and specifics of training children of this age. The practical part focuses on testing the motor skills of younger school children and the results of performing the tests. One part of the tested sample is looking into the motor skills of those attending the athletic sport training and the other analyses the motor skills versality of the basic school children who do not attend any sports prep regularly. This thesis results may initiate the first grade teachers and the sports prep trainers to more thorough work with the less developed motor skilled.

The conclusion of this part is focused on expertise publications focusing on piano playing,where the authors in their works use movement elements or musical-movement activities to directly improve the influence of playing the piano. The diploma thesis deals with the attitude of students to a healthy diet with the possibility of their own free choice. It represents possible justified risks arising from insufficiently timely information. Most mental and health threats occur in old school age. For this reason, my part is focused on the younger school age, where it is necessary to apply primary prevention against these threats. The aim of my diploma thesis is to provide information about the level of students' knowledge of healthy eating, taking into account the biological, psychological and social aspects by which they are affected. I carried out the research at the 1st stage of a Prague primary school. Quantitative questionnaire surveys, consisting of closed and open questions, were used as research methods. The results provide a comprehensive picture of students' attitudes and levels of awareness of healthy eating with regard to their own eating habits before the end of primary school and before transfer to secondary school or leaving for multi-year grammar schools. The research revealed an opportunity to influence these views at a time when they are being formed and strengthened at a younger school age by a separate school subject.
