La presente investigación tiene el objetivo de comprender las actitudes de los jóvenes de nivel socioeconómico alto frente a la prensa escrita. Para definir las actitudes, dicho estudio se basó en los elementos que la componen, asimismo para lograr el objetivo de la investigación se realizaron entrevistas y dos sesiones de grupos focales en los cuales se exploró, mediante una entrevista semi – estructurada, las creencias, afectos y conductas frente a la prensa escrita de los jóvenes. El primer grupo focal se realizó con mujeres, mientras que el segundo fue con varones que presentan las mismas condiciones socio demográficas. Los resultados dan cuenta de las cogniciones de los jóvenes, abarcando cargas afectivas a favor o en contra de la prensa escrita, lo que predispone a una acción relativa al objeto de estudio. De esta manera se explora, la disposición mental que se organiza a partir de las vivencias y que orienta la respuesta ante determinadas situaciones u objetos. Finalmente, se realiza una comparación entre lo que la teoría propone y lo encontrado en la presente investigación. / This research aims to understand the attitudes of young people of high socioeconomic level about print media. To define the attitudes, the study was based on the elements that compose it. In order to achieve the objective of the study, there were realized an interview and two sessions of focal groups in which the beliefs, affections and conducts were explored, by a semi – structured interview, of young people about print media. Women realized the first focal group, while the second group was with men who have the same sociodemographic conditions. Results demonstrated cognitions of young people, covering affective for or against print media, which predisposes to an action on the object of study. Thus explores the mindset that is organized from the experiences and guide the response to certain events. Finally, a comparison is realized between what the theory proposes and the findings in the mentioned investigation. / Tesis
