Semi-Stable Deformation Rings in Hodge-Tate Weights (0,1,2)

Park, Chol January 2013 (has links)
In this dissertation, we study semi-stable representations of G(Q(p)) and their mod p-reductions, which is a part of the problem in which we construct deformation spaces whose characteristic 0 closed points are the semi-stable lifts with Hodge-Tate weights (0, 1, 2) of a fixed absolutely irreducible residual representation ρ : G(Q(p)) → GL₃(F(p)). We first classify the isomorphism classes of semi-stable representations of G(Q(p)) with regular Hodge-Tate weights, by classifying admissible filtered (phi,N)-modules with Hodge-Tate weights (0, r, s) for 0 < r < s. We also construct a Galois stable lattice in some irreducible semi-stable representations with Hodge-Tate weights (0, 1, 2), by constructing strongly divisible modules, which is an analogue of Galois stable lattices on the filtered (ɸ, N)-module side. We compute the reductions mod p of the corresponding Galois representations to the strongly divisible modules we have constructed, by computing Breuil modules, which is, roughly speaking, mod p-reduction of strongly divisible modules. We also determine which Breuil modules corresponds to irreducible mod p representations of G(Q(p)).

Fatigue d'un alliage d'aluminium moulé A357-T6 : rôle de la morphologie, de la position des défauts et application à une structure pour le calcul de la durée de vie en fatigue / High Cycle Fatigue of A357-T6 Cast Aluminium Alloy : Role of the Defect Morphology, Position and, Fatigue Life Assesment of a Structural Component

Rotella, Antonio 05 October 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this work is to characterize the high cycle fatigue strength of the A357-T6 (AS7G06-T6) cast aluminum alloy affected by natural casting defects (shrinkages). Six different castings have been manufactured in order to study two shrinkage types: the cavity shrinkages and the sponge shrinkages with a defect grade ranging from 2 to 4 (as defined by the ASTM E2422 standard). High cycle fatigue tests have been carried out in order to estimate the fatigue limit under positive tensile loading (R = 0.1) for each defect type at N = 2∙106 cycles. The effect of the local defect morphology has been investigated performing several fatigue tests on specimens with artificial surface defects characterized by a local morphology modification (FIB and EDM machining). The artificial defect size and morphology is representative of the natural interdendritic porosity. The local and global defect morphology of the natural defects have been studied by means of finite element simulations conducted on the real shrinkage morphology reconstructed from a μ-CT scan. Two equivalent geometries have been proposed to simplify the natural defect morphology: a sphere and an inertia - equivalent ellipsoid. The effect of the defect position on the mechanical filed evolution has also been studied by means of finite element simulations performed on the real defect geometry. The analysis of the Kitagawa-Takahashi diagram has been performedby using two different approaches for both internal and surface defects: (i) the Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM)(ii) the Defect Stress Gradient (DSG) fatigue criterion. An experimental campaign has been performed at a component scale. A casted A357-T6structural component has been tested with two different configurations: as received and degraded with artificial surface defects. A DSG fatigue criterion, taking into account the effect of the stress gradient at the macroscopic scale of the component, has been proposed. The model has been validated by means of finite element simulations using a data post-processing sub-routine that gives as output the critical defect size map at each point of the simulated model.

ASSOCIATION OF TOO SHORT ARCS USING ADMISSIBLE REGION

Surabhi Bhadauria (8695017) 24 April 2020 (has links)

The near-Earth space is filled with over 300,000 artificial debris objects with a diameter larger than one cm. For objects in GEO and MEO region, the observations are made mainly through optical sensors. These sensors take observations over a short time which cover only a negligible part of the object's orbit. Two or more such observations are taken as one single Too Short Arc (TSA). Each set of TSA from an optical sensor consists of several angles, the angles of right ascension, declination, along with the rate of change of the right ascension angle and the declination angle. However, such observational data obtained from one TSA because it is covering only a very small fraction of the orbit, is not sufficient for the complete initial determination of an object's orbit. For a newly detected unknown object, only TSAs are available with no information about the orbit of the object. Therefore, two or more such TSAs that belong to the same object are required for its orbit determination. To solve this correlation problem, the framework of the probabilistic Admissible Region is used, which restricts possible orbits based on a single TSA. To propagate the Admissible Region to the time of a second TSA, it is represented in closed-form Gaussian Mixture representation. This way, a propagation with an Extended Kalman filter is possible. To decide if two TSAs are correlated, that is if they belong to the same object, respectively, an overlap between the regions is found in a suitable orbital mechanic's based coordinate frame. To compute the overlap, the information measure of Kullback-Leibler divergence is used.

Äquivalenz schwach expandierter Argumentationsframeworks in ausgewählten Semantiken

Hermann, Christopher 12 February 2018 (has links)

Examples of G-Hom-Associative Algebras

Modin, Felicia January 2024 (has links)
In this thesis we look at hom-associative algebras (which turn out to be exactly the G1-hom-associative algebras), by, in two and three dimensions, trying to find the structure constants for which an algebra becomes hom-associative when the homomorphism 𝛼 is defined as different matrix units. These algebras are also hom-Lie admissible (or G6-hom-associative, which turn out to be the same thing) with a commutator, so we also find the commutator for each of these hom-Lie admissible algebras. We end up finding every hom-associative and hom-Lie algebra for 𝛼 defined as each 2×2 matrix unit in two dimensions, each 3×3 matrix unit in three dimensions when the problem is mapped to one dimension, for three 3×3 matrix units in three dimensions when the problem is mapped to two dimensions (but with the commutators not having been calculated), and only a few hom-associative algebras and hom-Lie algebras for one 3×3 matrix unit in the full three dimensions. We also compare the results for the different values of 𝛼, and find that in 𝑛 dimensions it is possible to find the values of the structure constants for all 𝑛2 different 𝛼:s simply by finding all of the solutions for 𝑛 different 𝛼:s (chosen in a specific way) and then permutating all of the indices.

Correspondance de Jacquet-Langlands et distinction / Jacquet-Langlands correspondence and distinguishness

Coniglio-Guilloton, Charlène 11 July 2014 (has links)
Let K/F be a tamely ramified quadratic extension of non-archimedean locally compact fields. Let GLm (D) be an inner form of GLn (F) and GLμ (∆) = (Mm (D)⊗K)× . Then GLμ (∆) is an inner form of GLn (K), the quotients GLμ (∆)/GLm (D) and GLn (K)/GLn (F) are symmetric spaces. Using the parametrization of Silberger and Zink, we determine conditions of GLm (D)-distinction for level zero cuspidal representations of GLμ (∆). We also show that a level zero cuspidal representation of GLn (K) is GLn (F)-distinguished if and only if its image by the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence is GLm (D)-distinguished. Then, we treat the case of level zero non supercuspidal representations when μ = 2 and m = 1 using the coefficient system of the Bruhat-Tits building associated to the representation by Schneider and Stuhler.
