Kryptovalutor Kontra Traditionella Valutor som Likvida Medel / Cryptocurrency Versus Traditional Currency as a Means of Payment

Flodin, Malin, Hullberg, Jasper January 2021 (has links)
Bitcoin was established as an independent digital currency. Today, Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency and the currency has had an exponential growth in development and usage. Today’s standing point regarding this revolutionary currency in society is therefore interesting to investigate in relation to the traditional fiat currency. To determine whether Bitcoin is a comparable means of payment in relation to already established fiat currencies, it is important to look at different factors. The factors considered in the study are relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, observability and the perceived risk. The study shows that relative advantage, observability and the perceived risk are factors that statistically influenced the attitude to adopt Bitcoin as a means of payment. Relative advantage and observability proved to have a positive effect on Bitcoin. The perceived risk gave rise to individuals not being willing to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment. The qualitative data has given the study reasons to believe that all factors can influence the attitude to adopting Bitcoin as a means of payment.

The primary objective of this study is to integrate trust and uncertainty theoretically into the Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior in investigating determinants that affect Internet banking adoption in a developing country. Thus, this research attempts to evaluate empirically adoption models for Internet banking and employs an integrated model to investigate the factors of Internet banking adoption in Mainland China. Sample date will be collected from Chinese college students in Mainland China. The structural equation modeling technique will be employed to test the proposed hypotheses. This study collected data from two public universities in Shandong Province, China. The results of statistical analysis suggested that beliefs of social norms, behavioral control, and trust have significant influences on an individual's intention to adopt Internet banking service. Within this sample of Chinese students, only perceived image on its attitude belief was not significant. Alagood, John 12 1900 (has links)
This dissertation investigates videoconference technology adoption by aging-in-place organizations to facilitate the social engagement of older adults. It comprises three studies that examine the initiation and coordination of technology adoption by aging-in-place organizations and addresses the factors associated with successful adoption of relational videoconference technology by older adults. The first study is a systematic literature review exploring the role of aging-in-place organizations in social engagement of older adults through videoconference technology. The second study is a survey of adult relatives and friends of older adults regarding videoconference technology adoption by older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic and their experience with facilitating resources. It applies technology adoption theory and a structural equation model to characterize the role of aging-in-place organizations. The third study is a pilot test of a new online platform called Circular that is designed to support social engagement of older adults. Through these studies, this research extends the existing body of knowledge regarding modes to facilitate adoption of relational technology by older adults and to empower senior centers and other aging-in-place organizations as they seek to socially engage the aging members of their communities.
