Vyhodnocení projevů chování pštrosa dvouprstého na konkrétní farmě

Konečný, Roman January 2014 (has links)
The main goal of this diploma thesis was to evaluate behavioral manifestations based on data obtained during ethological observation of a breeding triad of ostrich on a farm in Hodějice. Monitoring was performed on a breeding triad (one male ostrich and two female ostrich). Observation was carried out throughout three seasons of the year -- spring, summer and autumn -- by the way of direct observation from 8am till 6pm in 5-minute intervals. The following activities were analyzed: food intake, drinking, defecation, movement, standing, sitting, running, comfort behavior, love call/mating, vocal manifestations. Based on the ethological observation it was ascertained that among most frequent daily activities of ostriches bred on the farm in Hodějice belonged food intake, movement and standing. During spring season the biggest amount of observation was recorded at food intake (30,50 +- 3,45 occurrences). The standing and movement in fowl-run in monitored animals was recorded equally (24,83 +- 1,47, respectively 24,83 +- 4,28 of records). During summer season there was a significant (p < 0,05) increase of time devoted to food intake (35,83 +- 2,21 out of the number of observations). In autumn a significant decrease (p < 0,05) of manifestation of this activity down to 28 +- 3,97 out of the number of observations was documented. From the evaluation of influence of season of the year and sex of ostrich on the behavioral manifestations of ostrich, a significant difference (p < 0,05) in food intake between female ostrich in summer (37,50 +- 2,90 of records) and male ostrich in autumn (27,00 +- 5,24 of records) was determined. In case of "movement" activity, it was recorded a highly significant (p < 0,01) difference in terms of sex of ostrich and season of the year. In autumn season a significant (p < 0,01) increase of "standing" activity was documented in comparison with observation in spring (23,50 +- 0,50 of records) and summer (24,50 +- 0,50 of records) season. Although climatic conditions in the Czech Republic are different from the climatic conditions in original habitat of the ostrich, a negative influence of these conditions on natural manifestations of the ostrich was not detected.

Soil enzyme activities and microbial communities as bio indicators for soil recovery, health and quality in forest ecosystem in south Moravian region of the Czech Republic =:Půdní enzymové aktivity a mikrobiálních komunit jako bioindikátorů pro obnova půdy, zdraví a kvalita v dubových lesích v jihomoravském regionu České republiky /

Ananbeh, Hanadi Abd Alrahman Ali January 2019 (has links)
Forest ecosystem in Europe has been affected by the anthropogenic activities for many decades. Coppicing was the most commonly used forest management practice in Europe and the coppice forests were abandoned or converted into high forests from the beginning of 20th century. In general, anthropogenic activities including forest management (especially biomass harvesting) cause modifications in soil chemical, biochemical, and biological properties that subsequently affects the soil health and quality which may affect the soil ecosystem functions including the climate change. However, all forests harvesting practices might have adverse effects on soil properties, but their abandoned or conversion into high forests can have positive impact on their recovery. The present thesis highlights the assessing of soil functionality, health and quality in differently managed sessile oak forest in the south Moravian region of the Czech Republic using soil enzyme activities and microbial community functional diversity as bio indicators for soil health and qualityy. In addition, this work proved the potential of soil proteins as antimicrobial agent against multi-resistant microbial pathogens (i.e. methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus MRSA) using different experimental protocols. Our results provide evidence that the past intensive management system such as coppicing contributed to organic matter depletion in the soil and the abandonment of these forests has improved the overall situation, by reducing the side effects of the management within long time period and help the soil recovery under the extensively managed coppiced forest. On the other hand, the soil proteins extracted from the coppiced forest showed higher potential as antimicrobial agent than the soil proteins extracted from the high forest. This result provides strong evidence that the management practices affect the microbial community composition, structure, and function due to the changes in the micro and macroclimatic conditions in the managed site.

Vliv optimalizace ustájení na vybrané aspekty chovu skotu

Bartošová, Petra January 2018 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis The influence of housing optimization on selected aspects of cattle breeding was to evaluate the life of dairy cows in relation to housing before reconstruction and after optimization of the housing in the particular breed, and also to observe the occurrence of abnormal behaviour and to evaluate, whether it was eliminated after the reconstruction. An ethological study was conducted on a farm in the Olomouc Region which was involved in dairy cattle breeding. Observation was perfor-med at ten minute intervals, with daily observations taking place on 9 August, 16 August. and 7.9., from 9:00 to 16:50, and night observation taking place on 18 August, 20 August and 22 August, from 21:00 to 05:00. Daily activities of dairy cows, food intake, drinking, lying down, standing, movement, comfortable behaviour, social behaviour, urination, stinging, and abnormal behaviour were observed. The positive effect of stables reconstruction was demonstrated in the case of food intake (7% increase by day, 9% at night), resting (11% increase) and elimination of ab-normal behaviour (at day 1% % of animals). The manifestations of comfort and social behaviour were not significantly affected by the rebuilding of the stables.

Zrilićová, Nikola January 2015 (has links)
Zrilićová, N. Study of quality of life with focus on sports activities: comparison of cities of Brno and Vitoria-Gasteiz. Master's thesis. Brno: Mendel university in Brno, 2015. The Master's thesis deals with the topic of the quality of life with focus on sports activities. It's objective is to compare two European cities -- Brno and Vitoria-Gasteiz. The quality of life is judged from the point of view of the number of sports facilities, their equipment, existence of price benefits for citizens and the other ways of motivation to sport provided by city halls of the researched cities. The attention is also paid to cycling as one of the outdoor sports. By using questionnaire survey it was investigated citizen's satisfaction with the current state of the quality of life. The results of the survey and the SWOT analysis for both cities confirm the effectiveness of the system applied in Vitoria-Gasteiz. In conclusion there are suggested recommendations for improvement of the city of Brno.

Příprava purinových a pyrimidinových derivátů s potenciální biologickou aktivitou. / Synthesis of purine and pyrimidine derivatives with potential biological activities.

Jansa, Petr January 2011 (has links)
An extensive overview of the current state of the research in the field of the development of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates (ANPs) was elaborated, which quotes from 196 publications in abstracted journals. A new microwave-assisted methodology for the preparation of dialkyl haloalkylphosphonates was developed. Through strict control of the reaction temperatures in microwave reactor, it was possible to lower the amount of the reactants all the way to the ideal ratio of 1:1. With the use of a continuous-flow microwave reactor, it was possible to prepare the key building blocks for the subsequent syntheses of ANPs in large quantities (100 g), which significantly accelerates research in this area. The new method was patented and published. While studying various ANP prodrugs, a new highly effective methodology for the preparation of the diamides of ANPs was developed. The method starts directly from ANP diesters, which react with trimethylsilylbromide to form the corresponding bis(trimethylsilyl)esters of ANPs, which are well soluble in organic solvents and react smoothly during the subsequent introduction of aminoacid esters. Moreover, the reaction with trimethylsilylbromide protects the reactive groups present in the rest of the molecule and thus prevents undesired side reactions. Furthermore, using...
