Žákovská interpretace grafických výstupů statistických šetření / Pupils ' interpretation of graphic representations of statistical results

Krištof, Radim January 2016 (has links)
This thesis discusses the charts and their teaching. I study in it how graphs are introduced at Czech schools, ie how graphical outputs of statistical survey (graph types, their relevance, their description, etc.) are presented in textbooks. Then I analyze examples from international research TIMSS and PISA engaged in graphs depending on the success of results of Czech pupils. It turned out that pupils have no problem with reading values from graph, while their creation or solving nonstandard given exercises makes large difficulties to pupils. Last but not least I test the ability of students correctly but also critically interpret graphs, ie whether pupils can consider if graphs present actual data or are deliberately distorted and modified. For this purpose I create questionnaire where I test through three exercises pupils of graduation classes from grammar school and vocational school and pupils of study with vocational certificate. Results of graduates from both schools were comparable. Grammar school pupils succeeded especially in solving complicated or complex tasks, vocational school pupils got better results at solving tasks that require only orientation in graph and reading values. Pupils of vocational programs reached approximately half worse results. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Mezioborový vztah kartografie a matematiky ve výuce na gymnáziu / Interdisciplinary relation between cartography and mathematics in the teaching at high school

Leipertová, Gabriela January 2012 (has links)
LEIPERTOVÁ, G. (2012): Interdisciplinary relation between cartography and mathematics in the teaching at high school. Department of Social Geography and Regional Development, Charles University in Prague. The present diploma thesis analyses interdisciplinary relations between cartography and mathematics on three levels: on the level of intended curriculum, on the level of implemented curriculum and on the level of attained curriculum. On the level of the intended curriculum, project documents such as the Framework Educational Programme for High Schools and the School Educational Programmes of selected high schools are especially studied. The content analysis of selected textbooks of geography evaluates relations between cartography and mathematics on the basis of occurrence and (quality of) explication of required subject matters, amount of examples, illustrations and charts. Moreover, selected chapters of cartography, in which mathematical skills are applied, are elaborated in detail. On the level of the implemented curriculum, the real state of teaching of these interdisciplinary relations at selected high schools is evaluated through questionnaires for teachers of geography and of mathematics. On the level of the attained curriculum, the ability of pupils to combine knowledge of cartography and...

Psaná komunikace a výuka češtiny pro cizince / Written communication and teaching of the czech language for foreigners

Toufarová, Dagmar January 2015 (has links)
In her thesis the author looks at written communication in teaching Czech for foreigners. The theoretical part gives an account of theoretical foundations, such as synchronic and diachronic approaches to the language situation (worldwide, in Europe and especially in the Czech Republic) and language education, including introduction to communicative methods. Furthermore, the author describes individual component parts of the language education (means of expression and communication skills), with a focus on written communication. The analytical part analyses language-teaching methods of written communication in textbooks of Czech for foreigners. The last language-teaching methodological part is more practical, which the author offers specific recommendations for teaching written communication in Czech language for foreigners. Keywords analysis of textbooks, Czech for foreigners, means of expression, communicative method, recommendations for language-teaching methodology, writing, written communication, communication skills

Makt, kön och genus i läroböcker : En analys av läroböcker i samhällskunskap för gymnasiet / Power and gender in textbooks : An analysis of Social Science course literature in upper secondary school

Daniel, Adolfsson January 2023 (has links)
The thesis studies power and gender in textbooks used to teach Social Science in upper secondary school. The purpose of the study was to investigate how men, women and sexual orientations are portrayed in textbooks. In this investigation, seven Social Science books have been studied. Four of them were published before 2011 and three were published after 2011. The theory used is the gender system formulated by Yvonne Hirdman, Judith Butler's discussion of social and biological gender, and Virginia Sapiro's thoughts on representation. The research method used is discourse analysis, in which an expanded text concept is used; the expanded concept covers images and illustrations in addition to texts.   Among other things, the results show that women are described as taking more responsibility for the home and the children, even though men are said to take more responsibility than before. The textbooks mainly use gender-neutral language, but that is not always the case. The use of gender terms risks creating incorrect perceptions and norms. The study has shown that each book has both strengths and weaknesses regarding gender. However, the study does not recommend any book in particular. Thus, the teachers are urged to critically study the textbooks they use in order to problematize parts of the content.

Didaktická anylýza učebnic náboženství / Methodological analysis of religious textbooks

Ležák, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
In the theoretical part of the thesis I introduce the current education legislation related to the subject of religious education. Religion is a part of the educational process and has a fixed position in the curriculum. This subject must be taught by a specialist with a pedagogical and theological training who has the double role of an instructor and a person providing value orientation for his/her pupils. The role of the teacher is not making children "swot" the most important themes, but introducing them to the essential principles and ideas of Christianity. The educational process is thus superior to the actual contents, i.e. instructing children in a Christian way is the concrete objective of every catechist. Orienting children towards a moral life is a very difficult challenge. A number of motivational elements and educational tools can facilitate the process of instruction. Arguably, the single most important tool since the introduction of comprehensive educational systems has been the textbook. Textbooks have been the subject of research and this research has by now become an established scholarly discipline. The theoretical part informs about the structure of textbooks, their functions and practical use. An essential chapter of the thesis is the didactic analysis of selected textbooks, in...
