The thesis "Biblical motifs in Czech pop music of the 1960s and the 1970s of the twentieth century: The function and using of biblical motifs for pop music lyrics with the original biblical background and message" introduces the academic framework of the topic within the first chapter: the definition of the terms, the criteria and method for selecting the motifs and lyrics used. Then, the position of Czech pop music in the cultural and political context of the period is explained, which is a relevant part of the topic itself. Also an outline of the academic reflection of the related topic is referred to as well as the function of biblical motifs in other styles of music (rock, folk and underground music) with the emphasis on the projection of the stylistic differences into using these topics for the lyrics. The following four chapters are probes into the pop music and biblical motifs issue.They are meant as the reflection of the the inner dynamics of the genre as well: in the second and third chapters the selected biblical motifs (general motifs, prayers, biblicisms and biblical characters) are enlisted and the anylysis of their funcion and using for various lyrics is provided in comparison with their biblical message and introducing the original loci in the B ible. Populärkultur uppstår inte i ett vakuum. Det är inte konstigt att västerländsk populärkultur hämtar inspiration från Bibeln och västerländsk kristen kultur. Bokserien om Harry Potter tycks vara ett sådant exempel. Jag är intresserad av det intertextuella mötet mellan Harry Potter-böckerna och Bibeln. Detta är ett relevant ämne att studera inom bibelvetenskapen då intertextualitet är tolkning i flera led och alltså påverkar vår läsning av såväl Bibeln som skönlitteratur. Som Lina Sjöberg visar kan intertextuella studier mellan Bibeln och skönlitteratur vara ett sätt att exegetiskt arbeta med mellanmänskliga aspekter av bibelberättelser som i sin tur plockats upp av skönlitteraturen genom intertextuella referenser.1 Utifrån bibelvetarens uppgift att tolka och förstå Bibelns texter blir intertextuella studier en framkomlig väg bland flera.2Harry Potter är en bästsäljande bokserie skriven av den brittiske författaren J.K. Rowling.3 Bokserien har filmatiserats och även filmerna är mycket populära. Det har skapats en fandom4 kring Harry Potter. Fansen kallas för ”Potterheads”5 och J.K. Rowling har skapat plattformen ”Pottermore” som är en nöjessite, nyhetssite och online-butik för allt Potter-relaterat.6 Det genomslag Harry Potter har gjort gör serien till ett intressant ämne för intertextuella studier. Många älskar bokserien och även de som inte läst böckerna känner ofta till handlingen i viss utsträckning.

The African worldview must further be transformed inline with the implications of the victory of the Cross over Satan. Indeed, Christ has fully liberated African Christians from Satan's authority, placed them in his kingdom, and transformed them into a glorious state. However, because of the Fall, salvation, before the eschaton can never result in the utopian order envisioned in ATR. Suffering does not necessarily indicate satanic harassment. Karel Toman started as a vagabond and anarchist poet, and accordingly the subjects of his lyrics were liberty, loneliness, need, and alienness. Turning away from his anarchistic way of life, the subjects changed, too: the war, the Czech land, the earth became new themes of his poems. In both stages, biblical motifs played a significant role.
