The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with themes of modern technologies usable in tourism, management and development of a tourism destination and geographical information systems. The practical part of the thesis is concerned with a concept of less visited monument from four categories (castle, chateau, monastery, town and town wall) in the area of the South Bohemian region, the Vysočina region and the region Waldviertel in Lower Austria, whose target is increasing the attendance and publicizing the chosen monuments. The target of the diploma thesis is to characterize a manner of usage ICT for the management and development of the tourism destination, to identify opportunities due to situational analysis and to propose application of chosen technology for increasing competitiveness of South Bohemia as a tourism destination. Through the geographical information systems as a chosen technology the usage of maps for the management and development of the tourism destination is shown. The outcome is a proposal of several geographic and thematic products (routes).

The objective of this diploma thesis is search processing of tourism, his problematics and protection of the nature. In the other part this thesis deal with analysis of hiking trail in Labske piskovce PLA in focus of potentional atractive with proposal of new hiking trails in this location. Analysis containe all hiking trails in this location according to colored tourism distinction of trails. Proposal of new hiking trails was formed with regard on protection of nature thus at the same time was surrounding area approached for visitors as much as possible. Proposal comprise new and turisty often attended attractiviness. This proposal can produce increase of attractiviness in this district and the influx of new turists.

The work deals with amenity migration in a natural park "Bohemian Canada". Amenity migration is one of the current global phenomena. Amenity migration is a specific type of migration which is not motivated by economic prosperity of the target area. It is motivated by an effort to live in more valuable socio-cultural surroundings, and it is mainly directed from metropolitan to rural areas. The main aim of this work is to identify the assumptions of the model area for the creation and existence of the phenomenon of "amenity migration". The part of this finding is the identification of the main reasons of amenity migrants moving into this area. The finding of the results of this work was carried out by using a statistical survey, using the technique of interviewing respondents. The survey was carried out from April to June 2010. It was made 101 questionnaires and 95 of them were used to evaluate the results. The research was conducted in the natural park ?Bohemian Canada?. ?Bohemian Canada? is a popular tourist area. It's a rough area, yet romantic charakter, with excellent conditions for amenity migration. In the area there are many summer huts and cottages, which could constitute a potential base for amenity migration.

This diploma thesis deals mainly with the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness and its area of support number 3.2 ? Support for the offer of further education, namely in the South Bohemian region. Currently, the support for the offer of further education in this region is realized particularly through letters of intents from the first round of the call for this area of support which have been approved for future fruition. The fruition of the projects drafted in these letters of intents will have a primary impact especially on target groups of factual projects. The letters of intents from the second round of the call are now being evaluated. Letters of intents from this second round approved for fruition will be officially announced after the meeting of the South Bohemian Regional Council, which will be held in June this year. In the fourth quarter of 2011, the third round of the call in the South Bohemian region will be announced. The effect of the money invested in the offer of further education will manifest itself no sooner than after the year 2013, in which the programming period will be ended and utilization of financial resources from the European Union funds will be dramatically limited. The representatives of the South Bohemian Region are well aware of the importance of supporting this issue and there is evident endeavour to fill up educational blanks of the people living on its territory, which are caused mainly by the changes in the employment market structure in this region. For the current programming period and for the support for the offer of further education in the South Bohemian region, the allocation of 196 000 000 CZK has been detached from the European Union funds. After the first call, 13% of this allocation were spent. It is difficult to foresee how the financial resources utilization within this area of support will be continued till the year 2013.

The graduation theses on Structural funds provides an overview of structural funds in its theoretical part, clarifies scope of the European Union regional policy, as well as objectives and instruments for the programming periods 2000 {--} 2006, 2007 {--} 2013.A chapter devoted specifically to the Czech Republic and the EU funds is included, as well as the chapter on ``How to acquire a grant?{\crq}q The main part of the theses elaborates themes on the European social fund and on operating programs for both programming periods. It provides assessment of the national projects titled ``Find your job in the South Bohemian region{\crq}q and ``Back to employment in the South Bohemian region{\crq}q.

The submitted doctoral thesis deals with an analysis of inter-municipality cooperation in the South Bohemian Region. The main objective of the thesis is to assess the importance of inter-municipal cooperation in the South Bohemian Region and to assess its impact on economic growth and development of individual towns, municipalities and the whole South Bohemian Region using an originally created database of cooperation of towns and municipalities in the South Bohemian Region after the year 1989. First, the author has dealt in depth with a description of the South Bohemian Region and its major administrative districts from the point of view of physical and geographical features, as well as from the point of view of administrative, socioeconomic and demographic factors. Subsequently, a detailed descriptive statistics of the intensity of cooperation in the South Bohemian Region was presented, as well as a statistical analysis using correlation and regression analysis, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance and cluster analysis. In the last chapter, the current situation and problems regarding cooperation of municipalities in the South Bohemian Region were outlined.

Activity of enzymes was investigated in the soils of Norway spruce forests in the Bohemian Forest. The aim of the study was the determintation of the impact of temperature and plants dominant in understorey on the activity of extracellular enzymes in the soils in the watershed of Plešné and Čertovo Lake. The measurement of enzymes activities was conducted using the fluorometric method with model substrates.

The present thesis focuses on both the actual and the posthumous life of the late 15th c. esquire Dalibor of Kozojedy, beheaded in 1498 by verdict of the Superior Land Court of the Kingdom of Bohemia for capital felony of hostile takeover of a manor house of Ploskovice in the Litoměřice region, including the pertaining peasantry. The text analyses the motives leading to the act and extracts diplomatical, narrative, and literary sources in order to portray the evolution of the tale of Dalibor in the course of 16th through 19th century. The 'áfterlife' of the myth is rooted in the period of Czech National Revival and literary Romanticism, which foreshadows the gradual reshaping process of the then Bohemian mythological heritage as commonly shared by the Czechs and Germans into an instument promoting the Czech national historical tradition, used for defending the Czech culture's milieu against the German one. The thesis explores the aforementioned process as a background for textual instances of the mythical Dalibor's engagement in both society and literature.

(English) This study has two aims. First, to reconstruct the landscape arrangement of the northern tip of the North Bohemian Basin at the end of the baroque era, focusing on compositional relationships between landscape dominants, both in a scale of pilgrim areas, castles, churches and monasteries and in a scale of chapels and small sculptural and architectonic monuments. The second aim is to, on the example of this - in baroque era extraordinarily rich landscape - examine the phenomenon of the Czech baroque landscape by comparing conclusions of the reconstruction with the widespread conception of compositional principles of baroque landscape. For this purpose, a comprehensive catalogue of architectonic and sculptural monuments in the researched area at about 1780, was compiled. Thereafter a map was created, that shows not only the objects as such, but also the compositional relationships between them. The most important resource for the map was a collection of maps of the First military mapping of Bohemia. In the text, the landscape is described through the perspective of a baroque pilgrim, browsing the landscape along the old roads of three selected routes. Abstact South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice is an important kulture institution since the end of the First World War. Against many different peripeties is this theatre with four companies only one profesional scene in the South Bohemian Region. From 2004 till now were here thanks to theatre director Jiří Šesták substantially developed opera, operetta, ballet, drama and theatre for children and teen - agers. Since 2006, when Martin Glaser has become an art chief of the Drama Company, works this company on clear dramaturgy and style of performances. Martin Glaser with dramaturge Olga Šubrtová were focused on contemporary drama, on cooperation with eminent czech theatre directors or creators and specially for this company were created several dramas. Thanks to management and direction by Martin Glaser became the Drama Company of South Bohemian Theatre contemporary, respected and definable.
