The aim of this diploma thesis is to clarify fundamental principles of activities of police officers of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region in the case of radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station. These principles are concentrated in compact documentation with practical tasks for respective organizational segments of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region. This documentation will be consequently used as a methodical guide for concerned police officers. Fundamental terms are defined in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, concerning and usable in the course of measures in the case of solving radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station. The analysis of legal standards and technical bibliography is also performed in this part. The External Emergency Plan of the Temelín Nuclear power station is presented in detail, and a comparison of the previous and current atomic law is drawn. Last chapter of this part is devoted to the actual documentation of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region to manage the radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station. Necessary number of legal regulations, agreements and internal acts of management concerning the current topic was used for elaboration of this thesis. Information and findings of employees from the Department of Emergency Management of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region are also included. The practical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the concentration of all materials and previous findings of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region in the case of measures for radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station into individual chapters. Each of these chapters presents particular activities of police officers of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the South Bohemian Region during performation of tasks in connection with managing the radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station. When listing particular tasks and processes, some of activities of other subjects participating together with members of the Police of the Czech Republic in measures concerning the radiological emergency are also mentioned in this part. The result of this thesis is a focused overview and operative material for police officers of the Police of the Czech Republic, usable for making them acquainted with questions of managing the radiological emergency at the Temelín Nuclear power station. It also serves as a background for regular practices and training courses on this subject.

The objective of my thesis was to map and assess, whether the strategic concept for the development of the business and civilian South Bohemian airport České Budějovice would be viable. I have applied the external analysis of the business environment and an internal analysis of the business subject. Another objective is to specify the strategic plans of development of South Bohemian airport České Budějovice, including phasing their implementation and the orientation financial cost.

The Abstract The Hymn and its Tradition in Late Medieval Bohemia Veronika Mráčková, Charles University, Prague The present thesis concerns the monophonic and polyphonic office hymns preserved in late medieval Bohemian sources. The author is mainly focused on the repertoire of the hymns written in Strahov Codex from around 1467. This manuscript of uncertain provenance contains an enormous collection of three- and four- voice polyphonic hymns which show plenty of the local characteristics. These domestic traits may be identified not only through texts devoted to indigenous Saints, but also through the melodies which form the cantus firmus in the upper voice of the hymns. The identification of these monophonic tunes in other plainchant sources could help us to determine the origin of Strahov Codex. Additionally, it is clear that this mensural manuscript contains not only music of a high artistic standard, but also a number of less polished compositions, and that it is thus an important witness to the existence of a wide range of daily musical activities in late medieval Bohemia. A crucial part of this dissertation is a critical edition of the monophonic hymn tunes preserved in Roudnice Psalter, as well as an edition of the selected polyphonic hymns written in Strahov Codex.

The aim of this thesis was to assess the current situation in clusters focusing on the South Bohemian Region and the benefits of clusters.

The work deals with the phenomenon of homosexuality from the perspective of the Roman Catholic Church and organizations in the Czech Republic, represented by the SOHO / Gay Initiative and South Bohemian Lambda, which are espoused to the rights of gay and lesbian people. The first part describes the basic concepts that define homosexuality. It deals with historical perceptions of homosexuality in the line of historical period of humanity, to present a comprehensive empirical evidence. The second part describes the ideological background and practical approaches of the Roman Catholic Church. It deals with the interpretation of the Scripture's texts, and knowledge of Magisterium of the Church's documents in relation to homosexuality. The theme of the third part is the recognition of organizations in the Czech Republic SOHO / Gay Initiative and South Bohemian Lambda. Describe the ideological foundations and practical approaches to gay and lesbian individuals in Czech society. The final chapter compares, based on current empirical knowledge, the homosexual orientation and the ideological resource of selected organizations also reflects the tension in the way of experiencing the gay and lesbian individuals in the Czech society.

The aim of this thesis is to describe in detail three military campaigns of Emperor Charles IV. (1316 - 1378) within the territory of the Holy Roman Empire. It uses diplomatic and narrative historical sources to map the political circumstances, proces, and military aspects of the three given campaigns. The first campaign is Charles IV's struggle for power over the Holy Roman Empire in the years 1347 - 1349. The second is the military expedition against counts of Württemberg in 1360. The third conflict is Emperor's conquest of Mark Brandenburg, connected with the pursuit of a second electoral vote for the house of Luxembourgs, which took place in the years 1371 - 1373. The thesis tries to be beneficial to the question of the role, that the use of military power might have had in the politics of Charles IV. By comparing the process and circumstances of the three given conflicts, the thesis aims to confirm or deny the existence any kind of specific military-strategic doctrine of Charles IV. One of the discussed problems is also the structure of the armyies that Charles IV had at his disposal during the studied campaigns. Although Philippe de Mézières (ca 1327-1405) was born into a not very influential gentry family from northern France, his steep career brought him to the Holy Land. As a diplomat and an ardent supporter of the idea of the Crusades, he got to visit the most important European royal courts, thus securing the attention of historians. He consciously reflects the political and social climate in Europe at the time, he explores religious issues and even own experiences - in short, de Mézières vast literary work is one of the most remarkable images of Europe during the late Middle Ages and the thinking of a medieval man of a high social status. Thanks to Philippe de Mézières' presence at the Royal Court of Charles IV in Prague and their likely meeting in Paris in 1378, we can trace evident links to Luxembourg politics in his work, to the Czech Kingdom and even to Charles IV himself, including his son Wenceslas. As a Crusades theoretician, de Mézières got himself involved in the highest levels of European politics, yet he constantly emphasized the need for morality, peace and cohesiveness in the courts. The aim of my thesis is to analyze the operation of selected organizations of destination management in the South Bohemian region or in other regions in the neighborhood. My work focuses especially on comparison the existence, operation, focus and also cooperation between individual subjects of destination managements. The thesis brings a real recommendations in order to improve efficiency in operation of these subjects.

This thesis describes regional functions of libraries in the Central Bohemia Region in the years 2001-2011, it focuses on funding reduction in 2011-2012 and through a survey it identifies the attitudes of operated libraries in the current period. The introductory chapter briefly describes the theoretical and legislative definitions of regional functions performance, objectives, standards and funding at the nationwide level. It defines the objectives of the regional functions such as ensuring availability and a comparable quality of public librarian and information services for citizens in all parts of the Czech Republic, promoting effective labour distribution and coordination of professional librarian activities and efficient use of public financial resources. The second part is devoted to the performance of regional functions in the Central Bohemia Region. The period in which these functions are implemented is divided into two stages, which are compared. It describes the effect of the Concept of support for libraries from the budget of the Central Bohemia Region to the activities of libraries in the region, the consequences of reduced financial contribution to the regional activities in 2010-2011 and briefly suggests possible solutions.
