No. of bitstreams: 1 Eliani de Fatima Covem Queiroz.pdf: 810763 bytes, checksum: 0e3c96792a3ad26c1908a78049a3a8d9 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2008-06-26 / The present work shows the results of a qualitative investigation about the use of the communicative channels from the virtual environment of learning, specifically the forum and the chat room, made by the teachers-students from the Second Module of the ongoing extension course of Teaching and Learning in the Digital World, of the Center for Open and Distance Education (CEAD), from the Catholic University of Goiás (UCG). The education field has undergone changes to meet the demands of the world of work, in preparing the worker. Some of these changes are related to the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in educational practices and growth in the supply of courses in the virtual environment provided by the Internet. Among the online courses, a large number of them is focused on teacher training. The current conditions in which happens the teachers training, the potentialities of online education for the preparation of this professional and the problems found in some courses developed in Brazil are also discussed in this paper. The result of the field research points to the need to optimize the use of communication channels in the course studied. The interaction, the exchange of knowledge, the dialogue in the new classroom are essentials to the student learning. The use of these communicative channels by the students, encouraged by teachers, is essential in the process of teaching and learning in the online environment. / Esta dissertação apresenta os resultados de uma investigação de caráter qualitativo sobre o uso que os professores-alunos do Módulo II do curso de extensão Ensinando e Aprendendo no Mundo Digital, do Centro de Educação Aberta e a Distância (CEAD), da Universidade Católica de Goiás (UCG) fizeram dos canais comunicativos do ambiente virtual de aprendizagem, especificamente o fórum e a sala de bate-papo. O campo da educação tem passado por transformações para atender às exigências do mundo do trabalho na preparação do trabalhador. Algumas dessas mudanças estão relacionadas com a incorporação das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) nas práticas educativas e o crescimento da oferta de cursos no ambiente virtual proporcionado pela Internet. Entre os cursos online, um grande número é voltado para a formação de professores. As atuais condições em que se dá a formação de professores, as potencialidades da educação online para a preparação desse profissional e os problemas encontrados em alguns cursos desenvolvidos no Brasil também são discutidos neste trabalho. O resultado da pesquisa de campo aponta para a necessidade de otimizar o uso dos canais comunicativos no curso estudado. A interação, a troca de saber, o diálogo na nova sala de aula são imprescindíveis para que o aluno aprenda. O uso desses canais comunicativos pelos alunos, incentivados pelos professores, são essenciais no processo de ensino e aprendizagem no ambiente online.
