Analýza bankovních produktů pro podnikatele a firmy - odlišnost nabídky českých bank ve srovnání se zahraničními / Analysis of Banking Products for Entrepreneurs and Firms - differences of the offer provided by Czech banks in comparison with banks abroad

Štěchová, Petra January 2009 (has links)
The use of banking products is an integral part of business. For this reason, the theoretical part of the work focuses on the general description. It also highlights the benefits of optimization in this sphere. It also indicates the differences between Czech and European banks, which are most obvious in the bank charges. They discussed the impact of financial crisis, affecting in particular the availability of credit. Practical part of the work focuses on the comparison of products, namely the current accounts of domestic and foreign bank -- ČSOB and Deutsche Bank. The result of this analysis is greater partiality for the establishment of current account at a bank in the Czech Republic. In addition, bank products are analyzed, leading joint-stock company CZ LOKO, which are mentioned experience with their use. Subsequently, the company CZ LOKO recommended a new current account, which is based on the comparison of bids for five lesser-known banks. From this analysis came to establish a new account at a branch of Austrian Oberbank AG, based in the Czech Republic. Finally, carry out a survey on the use of banking products, which demonstrated that all of today's entrepreneurs, to a lesser or greater extent, using bank's services.

Assemblage électrostatique dirigé de nanoparticules colloïdales sur des surfaces par nanoxérographie par microscopie à force atomique / Electrostatic directed assembly of colloidal nanoparticles on surfaces by nanoxerography using an atomic force microscope

Palleau, Etienne 30 September 2011 (has links)
The study of original properties of colloidal nanoparticles and their integration into nanodevices requires their assembly onto specific areas of solid surfaces. The aim of this thesis work is to develop an innovative method for the directed assembly of colloidal nanoparticles: the nanoxerography process by atomic force microscope (AFM). This technique consists in injecting charges into electrets using an AFM tip. The injected charges are then used to electrostatically trap nanoparticles from suspensions onto the surface. In this context, the charge writing and charge decay in PolyMethyMethAcrylate (PMMA) thin films were studied and the charge density of the charged patterns were quantified using Kelvin force microscope (KFM), an electrical mode of AFM. Assemblies of nanoparticles of different nature (metallic, polymeric (organic and inorganic)), with average sizes extending over a large range (2 nm to 1 µm) and controlled zeta potential were obtained on PMMA thin films. This allowed the analysis of assembly mechanisms and demonstration of the excellent performance of the method. Finally, two techniques of parallel charge writing, viz., the electrical microcontact printing and the electrical nanoimprinting were explored with the prospect of extending the nanoxerography process to industrial scale

L'expertise "mentale" dans le procès pénal / Mental expertise in legal proceedings

Abdellaoui, Adil 10 January 2013 (has links)
The technical and scientific advance of the last years seems to have drawn the court-ordered appraisal into the center of the criminal trial. The expert, who has become the person holding the "absolute truth" was indirectly granted a power of "life or death" on the person prosecuted, thanks to his conclusions. The scientific truth, resulting from exact sciences, might be at the origins of the recognition of guilt of the defendant, but what about more subjective sciences, such as those concerning the mental health ? Indeed, these are more likely to depend on the interpretation of an often hypothetical situation and to the evaluation of the mental state of the defendant, who brings up his own reality. Nevertheless, we have to admit that in spite of the randomness of the "mental" expertise, this measure of instruction erected as a proof, for which the convincing value alone takes over the inner conviction of the judge and the jurisdiction. The legal and judicial abuses, due to "appraisal syllogism" without real fundament, clearly impede on the most fundamental rights of the persons subject to trial. The legal certainty, which is then questioned, does not seem to spark off legislative action to contain these abuses despite some recent reforms. What about the judging function when the expert seizes some of the judge's prerogatives? What are the consequences on the outcome of the criminal trial?

Its aim is to show how the effects of meaning of the charges are given from the relationship between the conditions of production (historicity) and discursive memory that, as an element, traverse the discursive object in their level of development of verbal/não- verbal nature and constitution, comprising well as discursive memory is important to understand the process of production of meaning in these discourses. As a starting point for creating the discursive corpus, we consider the major journalistic events of this period, which led us to cut for analysis only cartoons that circulated during the election campaign in the 2nd round of elections. The analysis focuses on the discovery that memories are mobilized in discourse chargístico and how they are involved in the mobilization of the senses and are essential to understanding Paraphrase and polysemic movements, producing other senses in these discursive practices. For recognition of the corpus, 12 were selected charges from three newspapers subdivided into thematic paths that were more evident in the media, in the period from 01 to 31 October 2010. We have seen throughout the analysis that the charges, although they occupy different places to say, parafrásticos produce meanings that guarantee the formation of a memory that holds the words, because there is only sense because had ever felt before, allowing it go up and sliding turning when in circulation in different producing the externality, which is present in the discourse, deriving other senses. Thus, we observe that the work assumes the perennial incompleteness of language, including the mean will always point drift to other senses. Then through the recollection of facts and speeches, materialized in words pictures, research can help to think of the importance of movement memories: discursive and social, that interferes with the production of meaning in charges.

Eseje z ekonomie zdravotnictví a zdravotní politiky / Essays on Health Economics and Health Policy

Votápková, Jana January 2020 (has links)
Dissertation Thesis: Essays on Health Economics and Health Policy Author: PhDr. Jana Votápková Advisor: doc. PhDr. Martin Gregor, Ph.D. Academic year: 2019/2020 This dissertation thesis is a collection of three applied economics essays and a comprehensive discussion essay which includes policy recommendations resulting from the empirical essays included in this dissertation thesis, and other early work of the author. The topics analyzed were motivated by recent Czech healthcare reforms that address the recommendations raised by the OECD. Firstly, efficiency of Czech general hospitals is analyzed stressing the need for a well-functioning DRG system. Secondly, inpatient user charges which were introduced in 2008 and abolished shortly after, are analyzed as a tool which increases private participation in healthcare expenses and thus may boost healthcare efficiency both through additional resources and reduction of excess demand for healthcare services. Thirdly, personal savings, pre-retirement savings in particular, are viewed as another private source which could ease the tight public healthcare and pension budgets. It is shown that health status is a positive determinant for pre-retirement liquid savings, thus preventive health programs should be given a priority within the Czech healthcare system.

Incorporation of Departure Time Choice in a Mesoscopic Transportation Model for Stockholm

Kristoffersson, Ida January 2009 (has links)
Travel demand management policies such as congestion charges encourage car-users to change among other things route, mode and departure time. Departure time may be especially affected by time-varying charges, since car-users can avoid high peak hour charges by travelling earlier or later, so called peak spreading effects. Conventional transport models do not include departure time choice as a response. For evaluation of time-varying congestion charges departure time choice is essential. In this thesis a transport model called SILVESTER is implemented for Stockholm. It includes departure time, mode and route choice. Morning trips, commuting as well as other trips, are modelled and time is discretized into fifteen-minute time periods. This way peak spreading effects can be analysed. The implementation is made around an existing route choice model called CONTRAM, for which a Stockholm network already exists. The CONTRAM network has been in use for a long time in Stockholm and an origin-destination matrix calibrated against local traffic counts and travel times guarantee local credibility. On the demand side, an earlier developed departure time and mode choice model of mixed logit type is used. It was estimated on CONTRAM travel times to be consistent with the route choice model. The behavioural response under time-varying congestion charges was estimated from a hypothetical study conducted in Stockholm. Paper I describes the implementation of SILVESTER. The paper shows model structure, how model run time was reduced and tests of convergence. As regards run time, a 75% cut down was achieved by reducing the number of origin-destination pairs while not changing travel time and distance distributions too much. In Paper II car-users underlying preferred departure times are derived using a method called reverse engineering. This method derives preferred departure times that reproduce as well as possible the observed travel pattern of the base year. Reverse engineering has previously only been used on small example road networks. Paper II shows that application of reverse engineering to a real-life road network is possible and gives reasonable results. / <p>QC 20170222</p> / Silvester

The Effects of Amine Moieties on Adhesion and Cohesion of Mussel-Inspired Polymers

Jennifer Marie Garcia Rodriguez (17458722) 28 November 2023 (has links)
<p dir="ltr">Water molecules present an obstacle between most synthetic adhesives and surfaces, limiting molecular contact between the glue and substrates. Water can also hydrolyze or swell bulk adhesives, weakening cohesive strength. Nature has solved these challenges for millennia. Marine mussels’ ability to adhere well to wet surfaces stems from an uncommon amino acid, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (Dopa). The amino acid Dopa contains a catechol moiety that contributes to adhesion and cohesion through hydrogen bonding, metal coordination, and oxidative cross-linking. Hence, biomimetic systems often incorporate catechol groups to provide strong adhesion in both dry and wet environments. In addition to Dopa, mussel adhesive proteins are rich in cationic amino acids lysine and arginine. Previous studies have suggested that cations could displace surface-bound ions, enhancing surface adhesion. However, adhesion performance varied between systems, with no agreement on whether cations are advantageous or disadvantageous. A clear picture of how cations influence underwater adhesion has yet to emerge; therefore, this thesis aims to systematically study these effects.</p><p dir="ltr">In Chapter 2, the synthesis of catechol-containing biomimetic polymers with varying amounts of quaternary ammoniums is presented. Quaternary ammoniums, unlike protonated primary amines, contain non-reactive cations and were used to isolate effects from only charges on adhesion. In Chapter 3, differences between reactive primary amines and quaternary ammoniums were investigated. Structure-function studies have shown how cations influence bulk cohesion versus surface adhesion in dry, under deionized water, and under salt water. The roles of cations in adhesion were complex, with both cohesive and surface bonding relevant in different ways, sometimes even working in opposite directions.</p><p dir="ltr">Furthermore, a styrene-based catechol-containing polymer with excellent underwater adhesion performance is ready to enter the market, but several barriers hinder its industrial implementation. In Chapter 4, new synthetic strategies were developed to scale up and reduce the cost of producing p[vinylcatechol-<i>co-</i>styrene], which are essential for commercialization. This was achieved by selecting cheaper starting materials, switching from anionic to suspension polymerization, and optimizing deprotection reaction conditions. This change also improved adhesion in both dry and underwater conditions. This work is presented as part of our effort to advance the design of adhesives that function in challenging environments.</p>
