This dissertation focuses on the first Parable of Vincent Ludwig Persichetti, written for alto flute in 1965. Persichetti spent from 1965 to 1986 (almost the last twenty years of his life) composing twenty-four additional Parables for various solo instruments, instrumental combinations, and even one in the form of an opera.

Previous issue date: 2010-11-11 / This work approaches an investigation about the compositional elements of the novel
Chão das Carabinas, in which Moura Lima transfers to the fictional plan. This work,
although still not much presented in criticism and academic means in our country, it is
important for the literary studies it justifies the approach of some points in conformity
with the regionalism novels in 1930. We search to evaluate this work according to
four striking aspects it presents. This on the first chapter, we intended to outline the
conflicts, covenants and its rupture, from Claude Bremond and Tzvetan Todorov´s
considerations, collected with the critical fortune produced by them. On the second
chapter, we started from the questions related to the characters, checking its function
and evolution, approached according to Vladimir Propp´s theory. On the third
chapter, we analyzed the questions related to the speech, intending to show the
narrative for which the write relies to compose the novel. And finally, on the fourth
chapter, we observed some aspects related to the poetic images in the novel, as a
poetic resource and the way our study object is inserted in it, unveiled by Gaston
Bachelard. / Este trabalho consiste na investigação sobre os elementos composicionais do
romance, Chão das Carabinas, em que Moura Lima transfere para o plano ficcional
aspectos relevantes da realidade factual. Essa obra, embora ainda pouco divulgada
nos meios críticos e acadêmicos do nosso país, é relevante para os estudos
literários. Isto justifica a abordagem de alguns traços de sua elaboração que estão
em consonância com os romances regionalistas de 1930. Procura-se avaliar este
romance em função de quatro contundentes aspectos. Desse modo, no primeiro
capítulo, busca-se delinear os conflitos, o pacto e sua ruptura, a partir das
considerações de Claude Bremond e Tzvetan Todorov, coletadas junto à fortuna
crítica produzida por esses importantes estudiosos da literatura. No segundo, partese
da questão relacionada às personagens, verificando suas funções e evolução, na
perspectiva da teoria de Vladimir Propp. No terceiro, analisamos alguns fatores
referentes à estruturação do discurso, com o propósito de elucidar sua influência na
composição do estilo desse romance. Por fim, observa-se alguns aspectos
instauradores das imagens poéticas que compõem o romance e que se constituem
em um recurso importante no embelezamento do texto, sendo esse fator estudado,
segundo a concepção de Gaston Bachelard.
