Signaling Control and Timetable Planning for MRT Systems

Sun, Kuo-Hua 10 July 2006 (has links)
Automatic Train Control(ATC) of Signaling System for a Metro Systems comprise Automatic Train Supervision(ATS), Automatic Train Protection(ATP) and Automatic Train Operation(ATO). Based on theAutomatic Train Control(ATC) of Signaling System for a Metro Systems comprise Automatic Train Supervision(ATS), Automatic Train Protection(ATP) and Automatic Train Operation(ATO). Based on the Signaling Control System of Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit System(KMRT),the relationship of ATO propulsion power consumption and the run time between stations of train sets under the constraint of Automatic Train Protection(ATP) is investigated. By integrating the ATC function for the planning of timetable, the optimal timetable can be established. ATO solves the speed command for train sets operation by considering the propulsion system, track alignment and the operating timetable to achieve the efficiency of energy consumption by applying the operation modes of Cruising and Coasting to derive the speed profiles of train sets. Because of the correlationship of ATP, ATO and Operation Timetable of train sets, the ATP system is investigated first to ensure the safety of system operation. Based on the constraint of ATP, the energy conservation of train sets with ATO system is simulated. The optimal timetable is then derived by minimizing the objective function, which consists of the costs of train sets, driver¡¦s manpower and the simulated energy consumption. The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is applied to solve the optimal timetable by representing the Run Time Reserve and Loading Factor of train sets as the chromosomes. With the mutation of GA method, the global optimal solution can be obtained without falling into the local optimum. It is concluded that the optimal operation timetable solved by the proposed GA method can enhance the system performance of KMRT systems by reducing the operation cost of train sets.

Synchronized Motion Control for Twin Mechanism Coupling Linear Motors

Wu, Chang-shuo 10 August 2006 (has links)
The demand of modern technology is highly required by humans. The Linear motor, one of the most significant inventions, has been playing a vital role in driving component. The Structure of the gantry is the main design and the requirement of high bandwidth and rigidity. Twin-linear motors coupled and paralleled with machining beam are to realize one degree-movement. To prevent the marching beam from deformation, the synchronized motion control becomes an important technology for this machine. This thesis solves the problem of the mechanism coupling by using of the synchronized master command approach which integrates the decouple control and internal model control and taking the mechanism beam as an uncertainty. Both system uncertainties and unknown disturbances occurring in actual implementation need to be carefully considered. And the synchronized motion control of the two linear servo systems with mechanism will be investigated. Better synchronization performance for two motors can therefore be anticipated.

The Effect of the Awareness of Internal Control Theory on Organizational Performances-An Example of A Public Institution

Chiang, Hsiu-Hui 14 August 2006 (has links)
In the keen competition, public institutions face ever-tough challenges and need to improve their performances of management as their primary goal. Effective internal control system could help them reach the goal, such as increasing effectiveness and efficiency of operation, enhancing reliability of financial report, and obeying related regulations. As a result, a necessary internal control system and exactly implementing it are extremely important and imperative to any public institution or business organization. Besides, all members in an organization should realize the real meanings of internal control system and firmly implement it so as to exert its function. This research drafted up a questionnaire by referring the items in Self Control Appraisal of¡§internal control ¡X integrated frame¡¨ from COSO, and then surveyed a public institution to verify the hypothesis whether or not the awareness of the importance of internal system would help the improvement of organizational performance. The aim is to review if five elements of COSO¡¦s internal control system need to be corrected when used in public institutions, along with measuring the degree to which the awareness of the importance internal system benefits the organizational performances. This research found that not only the awareness of internal system within members in the public institution matched the frame of COSO, but also the members had a high identification with internal control system. Besides, each department with this public institution had significantly different awareness of risk appraisal; the awareness of internal system importance had a positive effect on organizational performances by means of facilitating the rational and effective internal control system operation. If an organization could integrate existed mechanism, breaking through the fence made by accountant-guided internal audit system, and combining daily operational activities with five elements of internal control so that they could effectively reach the desirable goal of internal control system.

An Internet and Web Based Remote Micro-Controller System

Hsieh, Chia-Sheng 11 June 2001 (has links)
An Internet and Web Based Remote Micro-Controller System Jia-Sheng Hsieh¡¹ Whei-Min Lin¡¹¡¹ Institute of Electrical Engineering National Sun Yat-Sen University Abstract With the development of new technologies, extending the techniques from local control to remote control with the public communication media becomes worldwide issues. In the hardware aspect, this research designed the T-RMC (Twin-Remote Micro controller) system to reduce hardware cost. This Fore-Processor can simulate Programming Logical Controller (PLC), to accomplish function of data acquisition and data transmission. The design features low cost¡B high stability, with remote data transmission, and easy expansion. The system functions are now designed with one point to one point communication, so in the future work, this system will be expanded to become one point to multi-point or multi-point to multi-point control system. Anther topic of this thesis is to develop a GUI (Graphical User Interface) suitable for Internet based supervisory control systems. In addition, the thesis presents the use of some CGI (Common Gateway Interface) programs, and the technique of embedded G programming (Graphic programming) into the homepage. The operator can operate the system easily by using friendly GUI. Examples of two applications were used to show that the T-RMC system was accomplished successfully. The experimental results have demonstrated the capabilities of the supervisory control system through LAN or Internet. One is the Remote Multi-channel Analog/Digital Signal Acquisition System, and the other is the Internet-Based Remote Scheduling Agent System. These systems can manage and control the conventional household or industrial electric equipment, to achieve the goal of energy conservation. ¡¹Author ¡¹¡¹Advisor

Automatic Remote-Control System Design

Su, Zi-Roun 02 July 2001 (has links)
ABSTRACT: With the progress of science development, the controls of various loads come into computerize gradually. Most of equipment makes use of programmable Logic Controller or Ethernet network in the past, which connect with computer. It is mature in industrial applications, but still unsuitable in the general monitoring system . The project focuses on this problem to provide a complete solution. The fundamental structure of system runs in the environment of popular windows by personal computer, using high-level interface program between human being and machine. The operator can be easy to operate system by using high-level interface program language. It makes use of series-port output and input signals via cable to specific module, and supplies interface program between human and machine. Consequently, remote equipment can be controlled to achieve expected purpose.
