Malmö högskola:Hälsa och samhälle, Utbildningsområde omvårdnad, 2010.Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa hur sexualitet och kvinnlighetpåverkas hos kvinnor som behandlats för cervixcancer, samt de copingstrategierkvinnorna använder sig av. Metoden var en litteraturstudie som byggde på åttavetenskapliga artiklar. Analysen gav som resultat fyra olika teman: påverkan påsexualiteten, påverkan på kvinnligheten, copingstrategier och patientens behov avinformation och stöd. Resultatet visade att kvinnor behandlade för cervixcancer istörre utsträckning led av minskat sexuellt intresse, större sexuella hinder ochmindre tillfredställelse. Sena biverkningar så som urin- och fecesinkontinensdrabbade majoriteten av dessa kvinnor. De coping strategier som användes varindividuella och de som använde sig av problemfokuserad coping hanteradebiverkningarna bättre och rehabiliterades fortare. Det visade sig att sjuksköterskanbrister i informationen gällande sena biverkningar och sexualitetens påverkan.Slutsats: vikten av att ta upp tabubelagda ämnen som sexualitet är avgörande förkvinnans rehabilitering.Nyckelord: Cervixcancer, copingstrategier, litteraturstudie,sexualitet,sjuksköterska. / Hansson, L & Nielsen, S. Nursing Program, MalmöUniversity: Health and Society, Department of Nursing, 2010.The aim of this literature review was to examine how the sexuality and femininityaffects cervixcancer treated women, and which coping strategies they use. Themethod used was a literature study based on eight scientific articles. The analysisresulted in four different themes: The impact on women’s sexuality, the impact onfemininity, coping strategies and the patient’s need of information and support.The results showed that women treated for cervical cancer suffer to a greaterextent of decreased sexual interest, more barriers and less sexual satisfaction.Negative late effects of treatment such as urinary and feces incontinence affectedthe majority of these women. Coping is very individual and those who useproblem-focused coping could better manage late treatment effects andrehabilitation more quickly. The review showed that the nurse gave insufficientinformation on the late effects of having treatment and how these have animpacted on sexuality. Conclusion: the importance of addressing and givinginformation about taboo subjects are crucial to women's rehabilitation of cervicalcancer.Keywords: Cervical cancer, coping strategies, literature review, nurse, sexuality
