Dopad přímých zahraničních investic na trh práce v České republice a v Evropské unii / Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on the Labour Market in the Czech Republic and other European Countries

Bežila, Lukáš January 2006 (has links)
V teoretické části tato práce analyzuje současnou ekonomickou literaturu o efektech PZI. Dále identifikuje hlavní příčiny a řešení Evropského trhu práce. V důsledku efektu přelévaní, nadnárodní společnosti zvyšují mzdy a produktivitu v domácích firmách. Hypotéza o zvyšování produktivity prostřednictvím substituce práce kapitálem byla zamítnuta. Produktivita práce rostla rychleji než mzdy a proto nezpůsobila nárůst nezaměstnanosti.

Czech Bluegrass: Fieldwork, Americanness, and Media In Between

Bidgood, Lee 15 November 2017 (has links)
No other place in the world has a romance with American bluegrass like the Czech Republic. Banjo Romantika introduces the musicians who play this unique bluegrass hybrid. Czechs first heard bluegrass during World War II when the Armed Forces Network broadcast American music for soldiers. The music represented freedom to dissatisfied Czechs living in a communist state. Czechs’ love for the music was solidified when Pete Seeger visited and performed in 1964. Inspired by classic American bluegrass sounds, an assortment of musicians from across the formerly communist Czech Republic have melded the past, the political and the present into a lively musical tradition entirely its own.

Politické a kulturní vztahy Českých zemí s Anglií na přelomu čtrnáctého a patnáctého století a jejich vliv na vzájemnou výměnu uměleckých myšlenek / Transmission of cultural and artistic influence in the fourteenth century with an emphasis on cultural relations between Czech lands and England

Břízová, Daniela January 2013 (has links)
This work is dedicated to the question of political and cultural relations of Czech lands and England in the second half of the 14th century. Attention is also paid to international relation in western Europe which led to cultural and artistic exchanges. Using historical events as a background, it analyses extant resources and works of art, by which can be the contact proven. Detailed analysis of the preserved works of art with English origin in the second half of the 14th century during the reign of English King Richard II, is followed by comparison with contemporary art production in Czech lands. The goal is to find features these two groups share and to find a way, through which the cultural ideas were transmitted. In that respect it is especially the marriage of the royal daughter Anne of Bohemia to English king Richard II Plantagenet in the year of 1382.

Tož, tak to bylo, anyway : the borrowing and adaptation of the discourse marker 'anyway' in Texas Czech

Tomeček, John Michael 08 July 2011 (has links)
This thesis addresses the borrowing and adaptation of the English discourse marker (DM) anyway into the speech of the Czech-speaking diaspora in Texas, known widely as Texas Czechs (TC). The primary goal of the thesis is to assess which subtypes of 'anyway', according to the schema of Ferrara (1997), are borrowed into TC, and to what extent. Chapter one addresses the sociolinguistic history of the TC community. The historical origins of the people and cultural background are provided. Late in the chapter, I provide a discussion of previous scholarship in the field of TC linguistics over the last half-century. Chapter two addresses the theories of borrowing and code-switching in language. The two are disambiguated, and a basic set of conditions which define the two are proposed. From this, I address Serra's (1998) theory of a mixed-code system, which relies on the knowledge of two separate codes for understanding, but also utilizes borrowings. The works of Fuller (2001) and Weilbacher (2007) in Pennsylvania and Texas German communities are addressed, as is Johnson's (1995) work on Tejano. The chapter concludes with a brief description of DMs. Chapter three describes the subtypes and features of 'anyway' in English according to Ferrara's (1997) schema, as well as surveys a number of possible counterparts for 'anyway' in standard European Czech. Chapter four analyzes borrowed 'anyway' in TC speech as a Ferraran subtype. I disambiguate the uses of various types of anyway, proposing that only anyway, Ferrara's only true DM, is borrowed in TC. I demonstrate that possible functions of native TC DMs similar to 'anyway' function inherently differently than those of Ferrara. I show that 'anyway' is borrowed into TC to fulfill a pragmatic gap in the form of 'anyway', whereas the two adverbial subtypes are not borrowed. In older data, these two were borrowed, but no examples exist in modern speech. I propose that this is indicative of the TC's existence as a mixed-code system, in that knowledge of both English and TC are required to properly choose the appropriate DM and to understand borrowed DMs from the other code. / text

Obraz médií v české próze mezi lety 1989-2009 / The picture of media in czech prose in years 1989.2009

Zuščicová, Jana January 2011 (has links)
Image media in the Czech prose between 1989 and 2009 aims to describe methods of recording media in artistic literature. The aim of our study is to analyze different points of view while viewing the media. Thesis is directly linked to the knowledge of the subjects Media and Culture. The theoretical part deals with the literature development and media in the time identified by us. We are aslo noticing the journalist role in our society and their self-appraisal. In the analytical part we divide individual books into chapters. Our criteria for their creation is the role which the media have, and discribed methods - for example satire. Within detailed analyzing of the books, we came out from literary theory, especially we use knowledge of narratology. We also lean on information from the media development scene and research focusing on journalists and their position in society. Our thesis is the first work on this topic. We therefore give a basic overview of the captured media. As a second dominant theme during the work, we chose a subject of reporters description. Our work brings the knowledge of the evaluation of their work and their self-esteem, most authors in our text are journalists. Our work describes both specific ways to view the media, but in general terms extends knowledge about the...

Zhodnocení německo-českých vztahů po podpisu Česko-německé deklarace / Analysis of the German-Czech relations since the Czech-German declaration

Burešová, Naďa January 2010 (has links)
The Czechs and Germans have been neighbours in the Central Europe since centuries. Due to the course of history, some discrepancies might be still present in the mutual Czech-German relations. To solve these historical issues, a "Czech-German declaration" was signed in 1997. The main task of this thesis is to analyse the Czech-German relations after the signature of the declaration. The German point of view is stressed while dealing with the topic. The first chapter explains the development of the Czech-German relations since founding of the Czechoslovakia in 1918 until the signature of the Czech-German declaration. The second chapter deals with the declaration itself. The third chapter refers to the detailed analysis of the Czech-German relations on both -- the bilateral and multilateral levels. On bilateral level, the political, business, cultural relations and other forms of mutual cooperation are being discussed. The cooperation between Czech Republic and Germany in the international organisations, specifically the European Union and NATO, is the main subject of the multilateral dimension of the Czech-German relations that this paper deals with.
