Heřmánková, Adéla January 2011 (has links)
The thesis intends to show, using the specific example of Jan and Anna Podlipný, a typical Prague family active in public life on the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Both the public activities and the private lives of the married couple are described. The thesis introduces the family of both Podlipnýs, particular focus being on the free time activities of the family members; home theatre is of special importance in this context. The core of the thesis is a discussion of the public activities of Jan and Anna Podlipný. Public life of Jan Podlipný is divided in his work for the Prague administration and in various interest groups. Emphasis is placed on years 1897-1900 when he was the mayor of Prague; the thesis also partially discusses his work as a lawyer and a member of the Young Czech Party. Podlipný is also introduced as a member of the Sokol union, the first head of the Czech Sokol Community and a member of the Society for the Construction of a Monument of Master Jan Hus. Podlipný's efforts in the cooperation between Sokol and the Union of French Gymnasts are also mentioned, and briefly also the other organisations he was active in. Anna Podlipná is introduced primarily as a wife and a mother. Emphasis is placed on her activities in the Domácnosť (Household) and České srdce (Czech Heart)...

Volba modu ve španělských konstrukcích s modálním významem potenciálním (s přihlédnutím k situaci v češtině a italštině) / Choice of Mood in Spanish Grammatical Constructions Expressing Potentiality (with Reference to Czech and Italian)

Kratochvílová, Dana January 2012 (has links)
in English Choice of Mood in Spanish Grammatical Constructions Expressing Potentiality (with Reference to Czech and Italian) Key words: Mood, Subjunctive, Potentiality, Corpus, Spanish, Italian, Czech The objective of this paper is to study the systemic possibilities of alternation between the subjunctive and the indicative in Spanish grammatical constructions expressing potentiality, the semantical differences this alternation brings and also the frequency these two modes appear in respective constructions. In order to achieve this objective I studied not only the specialized literature in the topic but also the language corpora. Later I compared the situation in Spanish with Italian and Czech as well. The results of my study brought me to the conclusion that it is necessary to study each expression of potentiality separately because the verbal modes do not appear equally often after these expressions. On the other hand, the use of the conjunctive in Italian is far more formalized. Czech does not posses any systemic tool that could work for the Spanish subjunctive in every context. However, its translation as the conditional or the future indicative is possible.

Variabilita trvání segmentů ve čtených textech českých a britských mluvčích angličtiny / Durational variation of segments in read speech of Czech and British speakers of English

Urbanová, Darina January 2011 (has links)
The study focuses on durational variation of segments in read speech of Czech and British speakers of English. The variation in segmental duration was examined in the speech of three Czech and three British speakers with respect to individual vowel and consonant categories. Furthermore, stress and intonation phrase boundary were explored as possible factors influencing segmental duration. The theoretical part of the study focuses on two main topics. The first is foreign accent with regard to accentedness, intelligibility and comprehensibility as well as in connection to its implications and factors which might influence its degree. The second part contains theoretical background about the time domain of speech concerning segmental duration in Czech and English, the area of rhythm, the importance of durational cues in perception and a short survey of factors reported to affect segmental duration. Czech accent in English and the importance of duration in foreign language are also covered. In the empirical part of the study, Czech speakers were found to miss the appropriate proportions between individual vowel categories and realize their long vowels as slightly too short. They lacked an adequate degree of durational contrast in stressed and unstressed vowels when compared to the British speakers. With regard...

Judikatura českých soudů při ochraně životního prostředí / The case-law of Czech courts with respect to environmental protection

Dudák, Jan January 2013 (has links)
The main purpose of my thesis is to examine the case law made by the Czech courts related to environmental issues and to formulate general conclusion from the analyzed case law. My goal was also to prove whether the considered case law is contradictory, or not. I browsed many judicial collections, legal journals etc. and I paid attention to equal or not equal decision making in similar matters. My study concerns on the issues which are solved by the courts either contradictory, contrary to the past, in a new perspective or even surprising for its different reasoning in comparison to the doctrine. The thesis firstly deals with the role of the courts in the environmental protection, than it focuses on the basic issues of environmental law, in particular at the right on a healthy environment and the restraint of property right. A special part of the thesis is devoted to the administrative proceedings with a potential impact on the environment and the effectiveness of legal protection provided by the courts. Finally, the thesis deals with the judge made law related to the protection of nature and landscape as well as other spheres of environment. The judge made law in environmental issues is essentially uniform, but in certain question it is contradictory. There is a significant tension between the doctrine and...

Levorová, Eva January 2013 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the way the grammatical category of time is presented in chosen textbooks of the Czech language for deaf and for foreigners. A small questionnaire survey, establishing which textbooks the teachers actually use in teaching Czech for deaf, whether they work also with textbooks for foreigners and what other materials they possibly use, is included. All the textbooks mentioned in the questionnaires are later analysed from the view of their presentation of the grammatical category of time, separately those for deaf and those for foreigners. In the second ones, inspiration for teaching deaf is being traced. At the end of the work there is an author's draft chapter of a textbook for deaf dealing with a part of the issue of verbs and times. The draft text contains an explanation and few exercises and concentrates on problematic phenomena.

Mrkvová, Jana January 2013 (has links)
v anglickém jazyce: The topic of this dissertation is the past participle and its use in the contemporary Spanish language system. The character of the thesis is both theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part delineates the issue of the Spanish past participle in the context of non-finite verbs and explores the general matters of the past participle connected with its morphological and syntactic- semantical features. The empirical part consists of two case studies of selected past participle constructions, dar por + past participle a una vez + past participle, based on language research within the parallel corpus InterCorp and single language corpus CREA. The aim of the research is to identify the particular past participles forming the core of the above-mentioned constructions and, by way of contrastive analysis, describe the possibilities of expressing these constructions in the Czech language. The individual findings are quantified and documented by examples.
