Energetická bezpečnost ČR a EU v kontextu vztahů s Ruskem / Energy security of the CR and EU in context of the foreign relations with RussiaAntonova, Oksana January 2009 (has links)
This diploma thesis dissertates about energy security of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the context of the foreign relations with Russia. It is focused on Russia as the biggest supplier of energy resources to the fore mentioned regions. Energy dependence of EU and the Czech Republic on Russia exceeds 50 %. This dependency is inevitable and is caused by the insufficiency of EU's and Czech Republic's own resources and above all it is very dangerous because of Russia's frequent nondemocratic behavior. The gap in demand of energy resources cannot be covered even by alternative energy recourses, which are in this thesis divided into renewable recourses and nuclear energy.

The retailers' position on the market and strategies are then compared with the aim to identify the most successful fast fashion retailer and verify whether the hypothesis that the first mover to the market gains the competitive advantage is true for the chosen fast fashion retailers in the Czech market. Further, the work tries to find possible factors of the retailers' success in the Czech market.

Disent v parlamentní většině:legislativní činnost PS Parlamentu ČR v letech 1996-2010 / Dissent in Parliamentary Majority: Legislative Activities of the Chamber of Deputies Parliament of the Czech Republic 1996-2010Kuta, Martin January 2010 (has links)
Parliamentary system of government demands parliamentary competent parties. Dissension within parties can block the entire political system; the government cannot rely on its majority and fails in processing its proposals on the agenda of the parliament. From the analytical perspective, inquiry in dissension in the parliamentary majority is one of basic questions. The thesis deals with dissension at the theoretical level. Using the Czech Chamber of Deputies as an example, the thesis conceptualizes forms of dissension (a disapproval of a governmental proposal at the first reading as the absolute dissent). The thesis conducts voting unity tests of Czech political parties that forge government. According to the empirical inquiry, the dissension that leads to the disapproval of governmental proposals stems from the dissent within the political parties, not from the dissent among parties.

Modelování vývoje úmrtnosti v České republice / Modeling of the Mortality Development in the Czech RepublicHejdová, Martina January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with a mortality modelling in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this thesis is to describe historical development of mortality in the Czech Republic on the basis of multinomial regression. In a theoretical part the basic knowledge demanded for model construction divided into two chapters can be found. In the first chapter the basic difference between linear and generalized linear model is described. Second chapter is devoted to a logistic regression. Here we proceed from simple, binomial variable and then we generalize it for multinomial variable. Practical part deals with a construction of a described model. In the third chapter data (type and source) are described and in the fourth chapter characterizes all three models itself (two of them are descriptive and the third one is used for simple prediction). The prediction is added rather for completeness than for the importance of the work itself because it was not the main goal.
