The master thesis deals with evaluation of the economic status of hunting in the Czech Republic within European Union. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first part is focused on economic-theoretical approaches in relation to hunting, defines basic terms and outlines the most important legislative regulations. The component is also the issue of the valuation of wildlife in the Czech Republic in comparison with neighbour states. The second chapter is about legislative regulations, programmes and policies of the European Union in relation to hunting. In this part there are listed the most important organizations and their influence on game management in the Czech Republic. The final chapter is devoted to evaluation of game management in the Czech Republic according to profits and costs. This section evaluates the status of the most important species of wildlife in the Czech Republic with the reference to main problems and their possible solutions. The component of this part is the case study focusing on the management of the Hunting Association Chotěbudice.

This thesis deals with the characteristics of the investment climate of Ireland and the Czech Republic, in the context of developments over the last few decades mainly assesses the current state. Analysis of the investment environment is complemented by empirical data analysis of FDI inflows into both countries. The theoretical part specifies basic characteristics of foreign direct investment and defines factors of investment attractiveness based on several approaches. The knowledge gained from theoretical and practical part are subsequently evaluated. Comparison of investment environment in the monitored countries allows us to define the characteristics of the investment attractiveness and assess the relative position of Ireland and the Czech Republic due to potential investors.

The diploma thesis investigates the topic of Generation Y in the context of development of lifestyle opinions during the period 2007 until 2013. The objective is to reveal specific trends in the area of lifestyle opinions during research period with focus on the Czech Republic. To fulfil this objective, diploma thesis analyses internal information sources of Omnicom Media Group in order to understand the current state of marketing knowledge towards generation Y worldwide. In order to maximize the relevancy with regard to Czech Republic, quantitative and qualitative research methods are used. The quantitative research part analyses trends on the basis of six waves of continuous research project of Median. The qualitative research part applies the focus group methodology in order to add incremental knowledge and discover novel topics which exceed the scope of the continuous research project.

The aim is to describe and analyse the Canadian excise tax and then compare the Canadian and Czech system of value added tax. The thesis is principally focused on practical tax payment. Conclusion contains evaluation and possible recommendations for changes in both countries. Based on this thesis can Czech entrepreneurs have an idea about taxing indirect taxes in Canada.

The master´s thesis focuses on fiduciary funds (svěřenské fondy) in the Czech Republic and trusts in the Canadian province of Quebec and Great Britain. First, a brief history of these funds and trusts is given, followed by an explanation of their importance, their basic characteristics, and the specific laws pertaining to them, with an emphasis on the differences between civil law and common law. Furthermore, the thesis investigates these trusts for accounting and tax purposes. Throughout the thesis, each chapter is concluded by a comparison of the fiduciary funds in the Czech Republic and trusts in Quebec and Great Britain in order to explore the similarities and differences in each observed area.

This diploma thesis deals with the recruitment and it´s legal framework. It specifies certain activities of the HR process. The aim of the thesis is to familiarize the reader with the practices in human resources management in the organization, together with the restrictions that are stipulated by law. The first chapter deals with the legislative regulation of the issue. Firstly are described the basic concepts related to the topic concept. Following is a list of the legislation of the Czech Republic. The creation and termination of the labour relations is also described. These relations may occur at the labour market regulated by the state in support of the employment in the country. The Czech market is also affected by the European legislation and programmes aimed at productivity growth and unification of the social security of the Member States. The second part is devoted to the development of human resources work and the formation of the new types of employment which arise depending on the needs of the market. The third chapter describes theoretically correct procedure of the recruitment in the company. The recruitment doesn´t end with the signing of the employment contract. It is necessary to establish a plan for the adaptation of the new comers to the company. One of the subheads is dedicated to the principles of the motivation and building loyalty to the company. These activities could help to reduce the risk of increased employee turnover. The last part consists of the research. It looks for the cause of the increased staff turnover in the multinational company based in Prague. Possible mistakes in the HR process might be the cause. The hypothesis were consequently refused or confirmed on the basis of the information gained during the interviews with the HR manager and Senior Account Manager, study of the documents and observation in the office. Conclusion of the project describes proposed solutions which could lead to more effective management of human resources in the company.

The goal of the thesis is to propose an opinion regarding the accession to the eurozone supported by the analysis of the related benefits and constraints in connection with the current economic and political situation. Allowing to get an idea of what the benefits and downsides of euro adoption would be for them, the gathering of information and arguments suitable for entrepreneurs, managers and citizens is the sought outcome of the work. The issue was analysed both quantitatively and qualitatively with the help of the SWOT analysis, optimum currency area theory and analysis of macroeconomic indicators. To achieve a more comprehensive understanding, also political programmes of the political parties represented in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament were analysed. The contribution of the thesis lies in providing a comprehensive insight into issues regarding the euro while assessing the current situation and indicating the closest possible date for euro adoption.

Both the European Union and the Czech Republic support small and medium enterprises as an important leverage point for increasing competitiveness, employment and added value through European funds and programs. Thus, the thesis analyzes key changes between OP PI from the 2007-2013 financial framework with its successor OP PIK and the implications for small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic. Besides that is the main goal of this thesis to understand the underlying motivation of SMEs when applying for a financial aid from European funds. The research identifies key changes, such as changes in the priority axes, increase in budget, and decrease in maximum public support or single methodical environment. Based on the literature research, case studies with successful applicants for European grants and subsidies and interviews with consultants and governmental experts, the thesis defines key challenges and issues for SMEs when applying for financial support such as excessive bureaucracy, user experience with a new monitoring system, ever changing requirements for applications or governmental preferences on price the over the quality standards when assessing an application. The thesis recommends following key factors - thorough business plan, detail-oriented preparations for applications and dedicated project management - mentioned by the analyzed companies to successfully receive a subsidy from the European funds.
