Metoda dějin umění v díle Heinricha Wölfflina (1864-1945) / The Methodology of Art History in the Work of Heinrich Wölfflin (1864-1945)

Mandažiev, Petr January 2016 (has links)
Heinrich Wölfflin (1864-1945) is considered one of the most influential art history scholars. His study entitled "Kunstgeschichtliche Grundbegriffe" ("Principles of Art History"), published in 1915, gained considerable response, both critical and favourable. In the study, Wölfflin attempted to explain transpersonal principles of periodically repeating artistic evolution. This evolutionary process, culminating in two phases, conditions entire artistic output (architecture, sculpture, painting, artistic craft), which thus developes within predetermined limits. Wölfflin defined each phase by concepts-pentad that gives a true picture of its character. First of the climaxes is the art oriented according to the analogy with the sense of touch; the second one is the artistic output defined by the analogy with the sense of sight. Wölfflin deduced the contradiction of the "linear style" (fixed to objects) and the "painting style" (wedded to purely optical qualities) from evolutionary degrees of human imaginantion, which developes precisely from haptic to visual projections. This progression - as emphasized by him - is always one-way and can not be reversal. Both these style-types are being permeated by various, historicaly conditioned culturally-historical contents that represent an outer component of the...

Sociální důrazy předexilních proroků (Dějinné a teologické pozadí) / The social accents of the pre - exilic Prophets (Historical and Theological Background)

Šprta, Marian January 2018 (has links)
Resume: The work has a special theme of social accents of the prophets in the period before the exile. There is question what the chronology of the history of the royal era, in which the prophets spoke, was, what social processes were taking place at that time and how they are documented by biblical history and archeology. The first part of the work describes the historical situation in which these prophets were spreading their message. In this epoch the King's time was at the top of its peak, after which the crisis of transition from tribal society started into the urban civilization started which was finished by Israel's exile to Assyria and Judea in Babylon. In the northern empire peaks of the prosperity are considered to be the period during the reign of Achab and Jeroboam II. In the southern Empire it is the Uzziah's period. These peak times of prosperity, stemming from the state development, successful battles, and foreign trade, brought with an increase in social inequality and damage to social relations. The work depicts this time according to biblical sources, particulary the 1st and 2nd Books of Kings and the 2nd Paralipomenon. This section is followed by a chapter on interpretations by which Biblical archeology interprets archeological finds related to the time of the kingdom, especially from the...

Nadcivilizace. Patočkův koncept modernity a jeho význam v kontextu současné historické sociologie. / Supercivilization. Patočka's Concept of Modernity and it's Relevance In The Context of Contemporary Historical Sociology.

Homolka, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the concept of modernity called "nadcivilizace" ("supercivilization") that was developed in the nineteen-fifties by Czech philosopher Jan Patočka (1907-1977) in his originally unpublished study Nadcivilizace a její vnitřní konflikt. The main goal of the thesis is to introduce this concept in the framework of the author's life and work, as well as in the context of current research in the field of historical sociology. This goal is fulfilled through three main steps, which are preceded by preliminary remarks about the issues of nowadays civilizational analysis. The first part is focused on the introduction of the author's concept of modernity as it was presented in the aforementioned study. Patočka's original term "nadcivilizace" is introduced and put into the context of civilizational analysis. At the same time, the circumstances of the genesis of the text, and the spiritual framework of the epoch in which Czech philosopher lived, are presented. Second part attempts to put the original concept into the author's lecture of philosophy of history, and to demonstrate the changes that occurred in Patočka's understanding of modernity in his work Kacířské eseje o filosofii dějin (Heretical Essays in the Philosophy of History, 1975). Finally, the last part is dedicated to the problem...

Postižitelné proudy dějin a civilizací / The Currents of History and Civilizations

Léwová, Dana January 2015 (has links)
This thesis outlines some basic approaches in the field of comparative civilizational analysis in the works of Jóhann P. Árnason and Jaroslav Krejčí in the confrontation with Jan Patočka's philosophy of history. Those theoretical bases are put into a wider historical context and historical relations in casuistic studies, narrowed to the civilizational area of the Middle East, especially Mesopotamia and Syria-Palestine and also the Aegean-Greek area. This work emphasizes the inevitable interconnection of generally conceived civilizational analysis, or historical sociology, with specific historiography. Individual detaching of theoretical concepts is understood as a relic of blind reductionism and determinism which is strongly rejected by philosophy of history which tries to focus on the phenomenon of historicity instead of historical chronologies. Nevertheless, without the support of empirical reality even philosophy of history would become a mere philosophical rumination. The connected interdisciplinary approach is the only way how to figure out the historical / civilizational sense, "between the past and the future" and to create continual cultural memory from the awareness of relations to the relation of awareness.

MIMO-LIDSKÉ: proměny obrazu člověka v malířství druhé poloviny čtyřicátých až šedesátých let 20. století. Teoretická a metodologická východiska. / BEYOND THE MAN: Transformations of the image of the man in painting from the mid-1940s until the 1960s. Theoretical and methodological principles.

Murár, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with the interpretation of the "beyond-the-man" concept, which is being interpreted, on one hand, as a part of the art-theoretical and art-historical European modernity of the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, on the other hand, as a theoretical and methodological starting point for an interpretation of the transformation of the human image in the painting of the second half of the 1940s until the beginning of the 1960s. The foundation for such an interpretation is an assumption of the necessary transformation of the intellectual concepts after the World War II, as it was postulated by Theodor W. Adorno and how it was researched by Giorgio Agamben and Miroslav Petříček in the political-philosophical discourse. The thesis thus researches the "beyond-the-man" concept in the theory and history of art of the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century in a way of it being as re-formulated art-creative concept after 1945, evident especially in abstract painting. The interpretation of the "beyond-the-man" concept is developed on reading of Fritz Novotny's interpretation of Paul Cézanne's art from the beginning of the 1930s. Novotny in Cézanne's painting described the concept of "beyond-the-man" (Außermenschlichkeit) as a breaking point of the...
