Automatic Kernel Intercommunication Interface for a Simulation Platform

Latif, Umair 14 August 2017 (has links)
CluSys is a simulation platform that is developed by LuK GmbH & Co. KG to support product development engineers. It integrates different simulation calculation kernels and provides a collaborative environment for tool-independent chain simulation processes. The data between simulation modules in chain simulations is exchanged by defining intercommunications between individual parameters manually. This thesis provides a concept to automate the data exchange process between the parameters of different simulation models based on their physical meaning. Different approaches implemented in contemporary simulation environments are discussed, analyzed and a customized solution compatible with CluSys based on abstract interface approach is developed. This concept is implemented using an SQL database creating a parameter dictionary and an automatic intercommunication interface that uses the dictionary to recognize the parameters and define data exchange processes between them automatically. The implemented solution makes the data exchange between parameters of different simulation models independent of their labels, module names or units.

Evaluating digital twin data exchange between a virtual and physical environment regarding lighting quantity

Tabbah, Alyaá January 2021 (has links)
Building Information Management and Digital Twin technology with help of Smart lights can optimizethe built environment impacting our health and well-being, by providing the right amount of light at theright time of day. Lighting simulation is challenging, due to the strict requirements to represent reality. Digitaltwin technology will provide a more dynamic two-way feed-back between the physical and the virtual environmentto optimize the lighting environment giving real-time sensor data. The main problem that currently occurswhile evaluating a lighting design made in photorealistic computer visualization is using the appropriate formof their model presentation. However, validation of light simulations has been done multiple times but not manystudies are based on DT-driven light environment evaluation in which not only the realistic representation butalso the exchange of information plays a crucial role. Therefore, the aim is to develop a strategy for demonstratingthe data exchange between a physical and real environment, for a scenario in which an optimal interactionbetween daylight and electric light derives an optimized realization of a given light demand curve. Basedon a quantitative experiment, validation of a Digital Twin was done between a virtual and a physical twin onan existing room using the light simulation tool DIALux evo. Data exchange was optimized for three levels ofgeometrical complexity. The light environment was optimized for interaction between the Digital and RealTwin. Counter to expectations, the results showed that the coarse model is more accurate representation of thephysical counterpart and generates faster data exchange. Defining DT usage purpose reduces time and effortdone on the process of creation. Knowing what data to exchange and how often avoid developers any limitationsor delaying in the process. Future studies can investigate how optimization of data exchange and light environmentcan be achieved with programming and parametric generative design.

Computergestützte Simulationsschnittstelle – Optimierte Systementwicklung in der Mechatronik / Computer Aided Simulation Interface – Optimized System Development in Mechatronics

Zekeyo, S. Jewoh, Nezhat, S., Schropp, C., Miller, S. 08 June 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Load matching services in the internet: characterization of sites and user companies.

Rezende, Marcelo Lacerda 17 December 2001 (has links)
Load matching services are a ve ry important mechanism for coordination of the freight market and enlarging the information on such market is one of their targets, in order to reduce the uncertainty in the load obtainment and transportation costs. With the advance of the internet, the possibility of creation of load matching services including large areas and a large number of users became an attractive alternative, which is used in larger frequency. Nevertheless its application related to activities in the Logistics is not well known yet. This study aims at the characterization of load matching services in the internet, its use by shippers and carriers in Logistic activities and also the test of the hypothesis that different types of companies dealing with different types of products will have different perceptions and needs on the available services. The factor analyses and cluster analyses were used in order to reach such objectives. During the period the study was conducted it has been observed a significant increase in the number of services available in several countries and that the companies have a series of common characteristics, such as the orientation either to shippers as well as tocarriers; price formation by means of auction and the increase of the load matching services with participation of their users in the transaction. Transporting/producing general cargoes and agricultural products using the internet mainly in the administrative areas for hiring the freights and price checkouts have characterized the group of companies that was studied. The current services offered by the load matching services were considered important by the companies that were surveyed; such companies highlighted the need of knowing and identifying the partners with whom they deal in the web. The factor analyses allowed to group up the characteristics and services that are more common in the sites, generating 6 factors identified as services offered, safety and size of the user's community, additional services, pre-selection of participants and wide ranging of services, integration and negotiation style and impartiality on the site. These factors indicate which aspects must be taken into account in order to establish new systems or to improve the existing ones. In the cluster analyses, three different groups were identified. Group 1 presented an equivalent number of shippers and carriers that deal mainly with general and agricultural cargoes and that are split into companies that use or not the internet. This group shows the best distinction between the importance given to the services when compared with the other groups. Group 2 has mainly logistic operators and carriers that work with the biggest variety of loads among the groups. In this group there is a predominance of companies that do not use the i nternet. This group has attributed the biggest values to aspects referring to the services offered by the load matching services, considering them as very important. Group 3 is made up mainly by shippers, has the largest number of the internet users and has the least values to the evaluated services. Based on these results, one can infer that different companies (in the case shippers and carriers) give different importance to the services offered by the load matching services. One must have in mind that the results obtained are valid only to the companies that were studied and that the research focuses the day-to-day reality of a specific period of time what, in turn, creates the need of its posterior development in time.

The Road to a Nationwide Electronic Health Record System: Data Interoperability and Regulatory Landscape

Huang, Jiawei 01 January 2019 (has links)
This paper seeks to break down how a large scale Electronic Health Records system could improve quality of care and reduce monetary waste in the healthcare system. The paper further explores issues regarding regulations to data exchange and data interoperability. Due to the massive size of healthcare data, the exponential increase in the speed of data generation through innovative technologies, and the complexity of healthcare data types, the widespread of a large-scale EHR system has hit barriers. Much of the data available is unstructured or contained within a singular healthcare provider’s systems. To fully utilize all the data available, methods for making data interoperable and regulations for data exchange to protect and support patients must be made. Through angles addressing data exchange and interoperability, we seek to break down the constraints and issues that EHR systems still face and gain an understanding of the regulatory landscape.

資料交換與查詢在XML文件與關連資料庫之間 / Data Exchange and Query Language between XML Documents and Relational Databases

Unknown Date (has links)
現今許多資料都是直接以HTML(Hypertext Markup Language)格式呈現,然而HTML 的標籤只是在做資料的呈現。 / With the popularity of WWW( World Wild Web or Web ),we have seen large volume of data is available on the Web. Different from the data stored in traditional RDBMS (Relational Databases Managements Systems) which is structured data, huge data now is stored directly in the form of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) pages. For representing data and interchange data between multiple data sources on the Web, XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a fast emerging as the dominant standard. Like HTML, XML is a subset of SGML. However, whereas HTML tags serve the primary purpose of describing how to display a data item, XML tags describe the data itself. The initial impetus for XML may have been primarily to enhance this ability of remote applications to interpret and operate on documents fetched over the Internet, so it has become the best solution now to solve the problems with data exchange and translation between the multiple sources. But XML also raises a problem: how to integrate XML documents with data stored in the traditional RDBMS. The objective is to communicate bi-directional data sources between RDBMS data and XML documents, and has the ability to interoperate data between multiple data sources. Finally, reach the purpose of heterogeneous data become homogeneous. In this research, we try to develop a translation model between RDBMS data and XML documents, in order to exchange and reuse data between different sources.
