Investigation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of low-voltage (<60V) DC electric motors in construction machinery application

Luong, David, Salloum, Ibrahim January 2019 (has links)
The brushed DC motor is a source of electromagnetic emission that may cause interference. The main issues with brushed DC motor are arcing, which occurs between the brushes and commutator, and inrush current. It is possible to decrease the electromagnetic emissions by addressing the source (brushed dc motor) and the installation. The source may be addressed by using filters in the form of X2Y-capacitors on the terminals or ferrites on the cables. The installation does not produce any emission, but it is possible to lower its contribution. This is done by altering the installation like changing the placement of cables and provide good coupling. An effective way of decreasing inrush currents is by using negative-thermal-coefficient (NTC) thermistors. Another measure to improve the EMC properties of the brushed DC motor is to design the motor so that it can trap EM emissions. Some of these parameters are motor house material, end-cap material, vent holes or slots on motor housing, placement of power terminals, crimping tabs and motor enclosure.

Simulační modely elektrických pohonů vozidel / Simulation models of electric drive vehicles

Bílý, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
The work deals with creating a DC electric motor drive. The model is composed of electrical power from the engine model and transistor pulse converter load, which are joined together and completed the anchor and regulate the flow control engine speed. Great attention was paid to the determination of losses in the load drive electric vehicles and create a model of electric power load. The real work was verified by an experimental model of an electric vehicle Car4 the available parameters.

Identifikace parametrů elektrických motorů metodou podprostorů / Electrical motors parameters identification using subspace based methods

Jenča, Pavol January 2012 (has links)
The electrical motors parameters identification is solved in this master’s thesis using subspace based methods. Electrical motors are simulated in Matlab/Simulink interactive environment, specifically permanent magnet DC motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor. Identification is developed in Matlab interactive environment. Different types of subspace algorithms are used for the estimation of parameters. Results of subspace parameters estimation are compared with least squares parameters estimation. The thesis describes subspace method, types of subspace algorithms, used electrical motors, nonlinear approach of identification and comparation of parameters identification.

Laboratorní soustrojí s asynchronním a stejnosměrným motorem / Laboratory machine-set with induction and DC machine

Hudák, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
The work addresses the design and implementation of a universal laboratory workstation designed to teach a course on electrical drives. Workplace will be formed sets consisting of DC motor with permanent magnet on a 400W power supply voltage of 24V and induction motor with 180W power on 3x24V. The engines are connected through a flexible shaft coupling. The asynchronous motor is located on the extended shaft resolver for scanning speed and rotor position. Both engines will be supplied from the transistor inverters. The workplace will be designed for maximum clearness and resistance to damage by improper handling.

Firmware pro robotické vozítko / Firmware for the Robotic Vehicle

Otava, Lukáš January 2013 (has links)
This thesis is focused on a firmware for robotic vehicle based on the ARM Cortex-M3 architecture that is running a real-time operating system (RTOS). Theoretical part describes available solutions of embedded RTOS and concrete HW implementation of the robotic vehicle. There is also comparison of the three selected RTOS with their measurements. Result of this thesis is base firmware compounded by a program modules that controls HW parts. There is also a sample PC and firmware application that extends base firmware. This sample application is able to communicate with robotic vehicle, control wheel motion and measure process data.

Návrh řídicího algoritmu pro stabilizaci letadla / Control algorithm for aircraft stabilization

Novák, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
Master’s thesis: "Design of the control algorithm for aircraft stabilization" summarizes aircraft aerodynamics knowledge, from which nonlinear mathematical model of the aircraft and propeller propulsion system are created. Design of the control algorithm for angle position stabilization (for longitudinal motion) and the control algorithm for “Flight Path Angle hold“ and “Flight Level Change” modes is also presented here. Designed control algorithms are tested within the simulation of the real atmosphere at the end of the thesis.
