This study aims to identify and analyze controversial and difficult topics in the three classics Giftas I (1884) by August Strindberg, Främlingen (1942) by Albert Camus, and I taket lyser stjärnorna (2003) by Johanna Thydell using thematic analysis. Additionally, it discusses the didactic opportunities that these topics create in Swedish upper secondary school. The analysis reveals that controversial and difficult topics are present in all three classics. In Giftas I, the themes of women’s emancipation, women as objects, the importance of children, and men's vulnerability are identified. In Främlingen, themes of indifference and women's abuse emerge. In I taket lyser stjärnorna, themes of death, cancer, and puberty are recognized. Furthermore, the analysis demonstrates that these classics offer didactic possibilities for all Swedish courses in upper secondary school.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka didaktiska möjligheter som utomhuspedagogiken kan erbjuda undervisningen inom de samhällsorienterande ämnena. Den metod som använts för att göra detta är kvalitativa intervjuer. Dessa har genomförts med verksamma lärare i årskurs 4-6. Intervjuerna har sedan analyserats för att urskilja olika didaktiska möjligheter utifrån lärarnas syn på utomhuspedagogik i relation till So-ämnena. Sammanfattningsvis ser verksamma lärare flertalet didaktiska möjligheter inom geografi, historia och samhällskunskap. Det ämne där lärarna har svårast att se möjligheter är religionskunskap. Vidare uppmärksammades även att lärare ser en direkt koppling mellan teoretiska delar av undervisningen som sker i klassrummet och praktiska möjligheter som undervisning i en utomhusmiljö erbjuder. Detta möjliggör att man med hjälp av utomhuspedagogiken kan förstärka olika delar av undervisningen genom att konkretisera dessa med hjälp av platser utomhus. / <p>SO</p>
