O Programa Escola Campeã é um programa de gestão educacional, criado em parceria pelo Instituto Ayrton Senna e Fundação Banco do Brasil com o objetivo de superar o fracasso escolar, a evasão e a repetência e o analfabetismo através de uma gestão escolar eficiente. O Programa foi implementado inicialmente em 47 municípios de todo o Brasil, entre os anos de 2001 e 2004, numa parceria com as Prefeituras Municipais e as Secretarias de Educação. O corpus de pesquisa foi selecionado a partir de um manual de implantação do Programa Escola Campeã, da Agenda do Diretor e exemplares do Jornal Escola Campeã, publicação que era distribuída às escolas e secretarias de educação para divul / The present dissertation, Champion School: strategies of government and self-regulation, has as its purpose to problematize the discourses in the communicative materials and implantation of the Champion School Program, as well as the government strategies that are articulated in the Program and how it operates on the school and on the school citizens. The Champion School Program is a program of educational management, created in partnership between the Ayrton Senna Institute and Bank of Brazil Foundation with the objective of surpassing the mistakes of the school, the evasion, the repetition and the illiteracy through an efficient school management.
