This thesis is devoted to long-term stagnation of the Japanese economy and potential solutions addressing such issue. The aim of this thesis is to propose a suitable solution to Japan's long-term stagnation. Firstly, the theoretical as well as practical basis of current Japan's stagnation is described. Economic theory and basic economic principles are explained within the theoretical background in order to apply such knowledge to the real economy correctly. Then, Japan's economic development from the second half of the 20th century till present is outlined within the practical background with an emphasis on "Lost decade" and persisting stagnation to better understand the way the Japanese economy functions. Secondly, the causes of Japan's "Lost decade" and persisting stagnation are presented. The theoretical basis of the causes of long-term stagnation is outlined with an emphasis on economic policy as a key instrument that affects the real economy. Then, the causes of Japan's long-term stagnation are deeply analyzed including a confrontation of selected causes by the author. Lastly, potential solutions addressing the issue of long-term economic stagnation are discussed. Existing solutions that aim to end Japan's stagnation are described and assessed. The main contribution of the author lies in proposing a solution to Japan's long-term economic stagnation from the author's perspective including specific measures to restore economic growth.

Diploma thesis on the topic of New concepts and models of care for seniors in social service residential facilities is divided into theoretical and practical part. The initial three chapters are focused on problems of old age and ageing, needs of retired clients of social service residential facilities and concepts of long-term care for the elderly people in the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter forms a basic for this work. It describes selected approaches and models of the care that were applied mainly in western European countries and are being adopted by some of residential facilities in our country. The practical part of the thesis consists in quantitative research among social workers and staff of registered residential facilities. The aim of the questionnaire survey was to determine knowledge level of the individual concepts and models of care among employees and to find out to which extent the selected facilities apply new concepts and models in their everyday life. Because these new concepts and models emphasize an individual approach and constant improvement their application is considered a viral part of care for clients of old age. The diploma thesis deals with the use of event marketing in the communications strategy of OBO Bettermann Praha which operates in business-to-business market in electrical engineering. The first part looks into event marketing from a theoretical point of view. The second part firstly introduces the company OBO Bettermann Praha and its marketing communications. Subsequently is the influence of event marketing on the company's business relations with its customers and business partners explored (currently the main pillar are theater evenings). The survey is conducted by online quantitative questioning of event's participants and qualitative in-depth interview with the director of the company. The survey results are evaluated in the final chapter of the thesis.

The dissertation brings sociological and socio-psychological view on working conditions and health promotion of professionals working in the field of long-term care and examines the impact of these conditions on their well-being. Its overall objective is to map the current work conditions and work situation of this working group in the Czech Republic and draw attention to an area that is not adequately reflected. Specific objective is the verification of the model Effort Reward Imbalance and the concept of wellbeing on the population studied. The side effect is to provide the results of the conducted applied research to the management of participating organizations for practical purposes. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical background characterizes basic concepts; health promotion and long-term care. The central theoretical and methodological tools used in the applied research are then described: socio-psychological concept well-being and model Effort Reward Imbalance (ERI). Introduction: Stress urinary incontinence is a common problem which affects a high percentage of women. Anti-incontinent surgery has played an important role in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence. Burch colposuspension was considered a gold standard in anti-incontinence surgery, with good long-term results. However, over the past decade this procedure has been largely replaced by the application of various types of TVTs (tensionfree vaginal tapes). In our study we have focused on comparing developments in the quality of life and the occurrence of complications in a long-term follow-up after TVT, TVT O and colposuspension. For subjective assessment of urinary incontinence we have chosen a validated specialized Incontinence Quality of Life questionnaire (I-QoL). The aim of our study was to monitor the trends with quality of life after TVT, TVT O and colposuspension procedures and to establish whether the occurrence of complications affects the quality of life (QoL) and compare of the quality of life among anti-incontinence procedures and longterm subjective and objective outcome. Methods: The study included 215 women who underwent a TVT, TVT O or Burch procedure between 1.6.2002 - 31.5.2005. This diploma thesis deals with specifics for reporting of construction contracts in financial statements according to czech accounting regulations, IFRS and US GAAP. These are contracts that are custom-made, so they are not serial production and they are long-term, so most of their production goes into more accounting periods. In 2018, new Standards for Recognition of Revenue from contracts with customers IFRS 15 and ASC 606 will enter into force. The aim of the thesis is to characterize individual approaches to the reporting of revenues from construction contracts with a focus on the specifics in this sector and their comparison. To achieve this goal, a comparison method will be used. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes requirements and aspects related to building contracts, individual accounting standards including new revenue standards. In the practical part, an example is illustrated that shows a different approach to reporting revenue from these contracts in accordance with Czech accounting regulations and IFRS or US GAAP and comments on the changes that may occur through the application of new standards. At the end of the thesis, individual approaches are compared.

The thesis aims to discuss a theoretical framework of the U. S. congressional midterm elections and specify their fundamental funtions and importance. The thesis analyses the transformation of midterm elections as well as their effects on the political system with a special focus on the period 1990-2008. Following the analysis of particular midterm elections, it concludes that some of the theoretical premises need to be revised.

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of measuring the moisture content in building materials using indirect methods that allow its long-term measurement. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview of the forms of moisture in porous building materials and provide an overview of the principles of measuring moisture content. In the experimental part of the thesis, the aim is to verify the available methods for long-term monitoring of moisture in building materials built into building structures. Proven methods of measuring humidity include resistance, capacitive and microwave methods and their comparison with the results of gravimetric measurements. At the end of the work is an evaluation of knowledge and recommendations for further research in this area.
