This master’s thesis deals with the assessing the efficiency of investment project of company ZNOJEMSKÉ STROJÍRNY, s.r.o. This engineering company is currently carrying out the modernization of production workshops and service operations in order to increase the company's competitiveness on the international level. As part of this modernization, the company decided to invest in new production equipment. Using selected procedures and methods for assessing the economic efficiency of investments is examined whether the investment is beneficial for the company.

This diploma thesis is about analysis of post-tensioned cantilever beam, which is part of cantilever of commercial building. The main part of thesis is evaluation of behavior of building structure in time and determination of the most suitable staging. Next part of thesis is design and evaluation of reinforced slab and beam.

This doctoral thesis deals with the analysis of ultrasound (US) video sequences. It specifically focuses on long-term tracking of the common carotid artery (CCA) in transversal section and measurement of its geometric parameters in a sequence of US images. The design and implementation of a system for automatic tracking of the artery is described in this thesis. The proposed system utilizes Viola-Jones detector and Hough transform to localize the artery in the image. Interest points are detected in the area of the artery wall. These points are then tracked using optical flow. The proposed system comprises a number of innovative methods which allow to perform accurate long-term measurement of parameters of CCA and store the results. A novel mathematical model describing the movement of CCA in transversal section during a cardiac cycle is defined afterwards taking the influence of breathing into consideration. A number of artificial sequences of US images based on this model have been created. These sequences were consequently used to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed system in terms of measuring the parameters of CCA. The sequences are unique because of their length which makes them suitable for evaluation of tracking accuracy even in long video sequences.

The dissertation focuses on the authenticity of digitized books in the context of their life cycle (production, preservation, access). First the OIAS high-level conceptual framework for lifecycle management of digital documents maintained by organizations is introduced. Then the current situation of digitized books lifecycle management is described. This part is followed by an introducing to relevant conceptualizations of the authenticity of digital documents and these conceptualizations are analyzed and reviewed. Then framework for analysis of authenticity is established based on previous findings. This framework is then used to identify authenticity requirements for digitized books and to develop a domain-specific conceptualization of the authenticity of digitized books. This conceptualization deploys detailed analysis of risks threatening authenticity during lifecycle management of digitized books. The selected topics of this conceptualization are then the source for the next step, which is to develop a recommended practice for maintaining authenticity of digitized books. This practice is further specified for one partial solution to the problem of maintaining the authenticity of digital documents throughout their life cycle, which is a persistent identification system.

Introduction: Stress urinary incontinence is a common problem which affects a high percentage of women. Anti-incontinent surgery has played an important role in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence. Burch colposuspension was considered a gold standard in anti-incontinence surgery, with good long-term results. However, over the past decade this procedure has been largely replaced by the application of various types of TVTs (tensionfree vaginal tapes). In our study we have focused on comparing developments in the quality of life and the occurrence of complications in a long-term follow-up after TVT, TVT O and colposuspension. For subjective assessment of urinary incontinence we have chosen a validated specialized Incontinence Quality of Life questionnaire (I-QoL). The aim of our study was to monitor the trends with quality of life after TVT, TVT O and colposuspension procedures and to establish whether the occurrence of complications affects the quality of life (QoL) and compare of the quality of life among anti-incontinence procedures and longterm subjective and objective outcome. Methods: The study included 215 women who underwent a TVT, TVT O or Burch procedure between 1.6.2002 - 31.5.2005. The aim of this diploma thesis which is called Corporate culture in chosen enterprises was to specify the deciding dimensions of corporate culture, analyze them and suggest changes in the chosen companies. The surveyed companies were Pleas, a.s. and TKZ Polná, spol. s r.o.

This master thesis aims to describe problematics of the effects of unconventional monetary policy, also known as quantitative easing, on economics of USA, Japan, Eurozone and Great Britain, by using empirical analysis of events related to quantitative easing and large BVAR model. In theoretical part of the thesis there are described transmission mechanisms of conventional monetary policy still effective in conditions of interest rates close to zero, as well as channels of unconventional monetary policy. Practical part of the thesis demonstrates analysis of impact of events related to quantitative easing in all the in-scope economics by applying a method of empirical observation of interest rates reactions on every event. Further, based on the received results of the empirical analysis, broader economic effects of quantitative easing are examined by using large BVAR model and afterwards the conclusion is made.

This thesis focuses on real-time visual object tracking with emphasis on problems caused by a long-term tracking task. Among theses problems belong primarily an occlusion problem, both the partial and the full one, and appearance changes of the object during the tracking. The work is also concerned with tracking objects of a very limited size and unsteady camera movements. These two particular problems are relatively common when tracking distant objects. A part of this work is also a summary of related work and a proposal of a system with high qualitative stability and robustness to problems mentioned. The proposed system was implemented and the evaluation demonstrated that it is capable of solving these problems partially.

This thesis is devoted to learn detectors by object tracking in video sequence. In this thesis, we discuss methods for object tracking, object detection and online learning and possibilities of their using in sophisticated techniques, which combine object tracking and online learning detectors.
