The thesis will introduce the representatives of manufacturing program of TAJMAC-ZPS multi-spindle automatic lathes division and there will be a brief description of their main constructional parts. The main objective of the thesis is an engineering design of testing device which will be bulit for verification of the correct drive concept. There is also many calculations and detailed description of the engineering design. The testing device is made for internal needs of TAJMAC-ZPS.

Motor-generátor s axiálním tokem pro hybridní autobus / Traction axial flux motor-generator for hybrid electric bus application

Tato dizertační práce se zabývá návrhem původního motor-generátoru s axiálním tokem a buzením permanetními magnety, zkonstruovaným specificky pro hybridní elektrický autobus. Návrhové zadání pro tento stroj přineslo požadavky, které vedly k této unikátní topologii tak, aby byl dosažen výkon, účinnost a rozměry stroje. Tato partikulární topologie motor-generátoru s axiálním tokem je výsledkem literární rešerše, kterou následoval výběr koncepce stroje s představeným návrhem jako výsledkem těchto procesů. Přístup k návrhu stroje s axiálním tokem sledoval „multi-fyzikální“ koncepci, která pracuje s návrhem elektromagnetickým, tepelným, mechanickým, včetně návrhu řízení, v jedné iteraci. Tím je v konečném návrhu zajištěna rovnováha mezi těmito inženýrskými disciplínami. Pro samotný návrh stroje byla vyvinuta sada výpočtových a analytických nástrojů, které byly podloženy metodou konečných prvků tak, aby samotný návrh stroje byl přesnější a spolehlivější. Modelování somtného elektrického stroje a celého pohonu poskytlo představu o výkonnosti a účinnosti celého subsytému v rozmanitých operačních podmínkách. Rovněž poukázal na optimizační potenciál pro návrh řízení subsystému ve smyslu maximalizace účinnosti celého pohonu. Bylo postaveno několik prototypů tohoto stroje, které prošly intensivním testováním jak na úrovni sybsytému, tak systému. Samotné výsledky testů jsou diskutovány a porovnány s analytickými výpočty parametrů stroje. Poznatky získané z prvního prototypu stroje pak sloužily k představení možností, jak zjednodušit výrobu a montáž stroje v příští generaci. Tato práce zaznamenává jednotlivé kroky během všech fází vývoje elektrického stroje s axiálním tokem, počínaje výběrem konceptu stroje, konče sumarizací zkušeností získaných z první generace prototypu tohoto stroje.

Vysokomomentové elektromotory pro pohony nezávislé trakce v oboru manipulační techniky / High-Torque Motors for Battery Operated Material Handling Trucks

he recent development of the power electronic and high-energy permanent magnets enables developing synchronous machines excited by permanent magnets, that are able to meet very gradual and exact control demands. Due to high torque density, that permanent magnet machines reach, the synchronous motors may be used even in direct (gearless) drives. One of the branches, in which direct drives can be used, is material handling. The most propelling drives in this branch consist of induction motor, simple gearbox with invariable gear ratio mounted to the drive wheel. Main aim of this thesis is designing the direct drive motor for low-lift truck. Motor is built-in the driven wheel, therefore outer rotor design appears to be more suitable. Two types of motors – permanent magnet synchronous motor and transverse flux motor have been chosen on the basis of technical paper study, many years lasting experience and verification computations. Both motor types are described in great details in this thesis. Both synchronous motor with PM and transverse flux motor have been designed for direct drive of the given low-lift truck. The proposals of both motors have been optimized by means of finite element method. Based on these design optimizing computations, both motors have been designed, produced and design accuracy has been verified by laboratory testing. Synchronous motor with PM achieves better electromagnetic parameters and its production is also simpler, therefore this motor is more suitable for this application. The solution with transverse flux motor may save substantial amount of active materials. Results of the detailed optimization and comparison of both motor types are the main benefits of this thesis.

In the mentioned boiler room, there are instaled gas condensing boilers and cogeneration units Theoretical part of the thesis lists a summary of generally used cogeneration equipment and ordinarily used gases. Calculation part includes four variants of the boiler room reconstruction. Energy assessment compares the chosen variant from the calculation part with the original condition of the boiler room.

The work deals with a new concept of the drive spindle, where the spindles are driven by external asynchronous motor through the gears with internal teeth attached to the outside of the spindle drum instead of the current method of driven by central coaxial shaft. The thesis research of multi-spindle lathes including a description of the main nodes, design, strength calculations, bearing durability and a simulation model for simulation acceleration and load drives and spindles from the cutting process.

Návrh zrychlovací hlavy pro vřeteník horizontální vyvrtávačky / Design of acceleration head spindle horizontal boring machines

This thesis deals with conceptual design of spindle speeder head for headstock of horizontal boring machine of FERMAT Company. The thesis includes research part, which is initially given to horizontal boring machines and their accessories and continues with an overview and comparison of spindle speeders that are currently on the market. The work includes technical report, which is aimed on design of the belt drive including the idler pulley. Design of belt drive is based on the output of the calculation program developed by manufacturer of synchronous belts. Calculation part, mainly focused on the spindle and its bearings, is preceded by a part in which are calculated cutting forces for two technological operations. Calculation of the spindle part contains strength calculation of the spindle and equivalent basic rating life of spindle bearings, including calculating of radial stiffness at the spindle nose and calculation of optimal distance between the spindle bearings. At the end of the technical report is a financial summary, description of used components and the chosen design solution. The drawings which are based on model assembly processed in 3D CAD system, contains a drawing of the entire device and drawings of selected components.

Teslova bezlopatková turbina / Tesla Bladeless Turbine

The diploma thesis describes design of bladeless machine known as a Tesla turbine. The work is divided into theoretical part, practical part involving the design and experimental measurements of made bladeless turbine and a final assessment of thesis. The theoretical part deals with the basic design features of bladeless machines and their design modifications and flow in the nozzles. Furthermore there is a dedicated part of the dynamics of working fluid in the rotor of bladeless turbine represented by CFD modeling. The practical part includes the design and construction of parts of the turbine on a preliminary calculation using an analytical model of the flow in the turbine. The designed turbine components were checked for operational safety with structural calculations of shaft and disk impeller. The thesis was also performed experimental measuring of parameters of designed bladeless turbine. Measured values were compared with the analytical model which predicted turbine efficiency. In conclusion, besides to assessment, thesis also outlines possible proposals for further improvements of constructed bladeless turbine.
