The aim of this thesis is to conduct research of entire history of Jivák settlement in Central Bohemian region since its establishment in 1926 to the year of 2016. Importance of so-called normalization and transformation era will be stressed in this work. The author will also try to track certain matches or disagreements in the area of everyday life, coexistence with other settlers or participation on settlement's events based on interviews conducted with settlers of various age. Another aim of this work is to compare settlement's social life before and after the year 1989. Last but not least, author will try to find out, whether Jivak settlement served as a shelter from political and social reality in 1948-1989 Czechoslovakia. This diploma thesis had two basic aims. The first was an analysis of the processes shaping regional identity particularly of the study area of Neveklovsko and the identification of the inner potential in the region from the socio-economic and sociocultural aspects. The second aim was to identify the differences in the various areas of Czech region, specifically the high concentration of settlements with a predominately tourist and recreational function, where the research was conducted within the grant project. The research was carried out on using a field survey and questionnaire. The Neveklovsko area is an example of a rural area of the inner periphery containing a high concentration of settlements with the predominating tourist and recreational function. The Second World War played an important role in shaping regional identity, particularly because of forced displacements and its use as a training ground of the SS. This work is about processing of historical maps, especially their digitizing and vectorization. The main focuses of this project are maps from the second historical military mapping and finding methods useful for removing texts from these maps.

The Organization of Repatriation of Displaced Persons in Czechoslovakia after World War II. Bc. et Bc. Jana Kasíková Abstract Analyzing the social aspects of the repatriation process of those forced out of their home countries to Czechoslovakia during WW2, this thesis first describes the communication and cooperation of the Czechoslovakian exile government in London with international organizations, particularly with UNRRA and SHAEF. Furthermore, the social, health, transportation and financial impact of creating and maintaining the supporting structures for repatriating displaced persons is explored, with both governmental and non-governmental perspective. Special attention is given to the participation of the general public, e.g. donations, volunteering, media coverage and public relations. The final chapter then explores the organizational structure of the repatriation process in Czechoslovakia. Specific communication between Czechoslovakian and French institutions is presented as an insight into international cooperation. Title Opinions of a German about the value-shifts in the society after the Second World War. Interpretation of the novel "Clown" by Heinrich Böll and its film adaptation Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the novel The Clown (1963) by an important representative of the German post-war literature Heinrich Böll and its film adaptation (1974) of the same name by a Czech director Vojtěch Jasný. The first part of the thesis presents author's life, literary work as well as the roots of his broadly humanistic view of life, which are closely interlinked with his strong Christian belief and his personal value system. The main target of the thesis is a thorough interpretation of the novel, in which author's critical viewpoint on the socio-cultural development of the post-war German society is very strongly reflected. The author's sharp satirical tone in this novel and the very evident anticlericalism are being looked at and explored in terms of the biblical motto of the novel and its main message. The aim of the final chapter is to point out the main differences between the novel and the film adaptation. Práce je zaměřena na současnou situaci v bytové oblasti, zvláštně na sektor nájemního bydlení v České republice a v Německu. Úvodní kapitola objasňuje základní charakteristiky a specifika bydlení, vztahy nabídky a poptávky na trhu s byty. Charakterizuje také současnou situaci v bytové oblasti a strukturu bytového fondu. Druhá kapitola je věnována právní úpravě bydlení v nájemním bytě a zmiňuje státní intervence a základní nástroje bytové politiky. Ve třetí kapitole je analyzováno nájemní bydlení v České republice, kde jsou rozlišeny formy regulace nájemného a jejich dopady. Závěrečná kapitola rozebírá nájemní vztahy v Německu, strukturu bytového fondu a systém místně obvyklého nájemného. V rámci forem podpory bydlení se zaměřuje na systém sociálního bydlení a příspěvek na bydlení.

This diploma thesis focuses on accessibility and serviceability second homes in the inner periphery, respectively, in the model region "Hranice krajů-Středozápad" as well as analysis and assessment of the second homes with the possibility of a future transformation to permanent housing. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of the second homes, transport accessibility and public transport not only in the Czech Republic. Analyzes commuting to recreation in various fields and further acquainted with the problems of peripheral areas. The empirical part is based on the data obtained from the analysis of public transport, statistical yearbooks and survey, which took place in the model region "Hranice krajů- Středozápad". The area is monitored to determine what kinds of vehicles are used by second homes owners for leisure travel and the transport infrastructure facilities. Also is detecting the demand for public transport and its offer for owners of second homes. In this paper, public transport is studied in the long-term viewpoint since the mid-70th the 20th century and the observation are directed to the needs of second homes users on Friday, Sunday and "recreational" link. The presented diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of the second homes in the area around the middle stream of the river Luznice. The trend of second homes is closely connected mainly to rural tourism. Currently the number of people living in the countryside is decreasing, this leads to increasing depopulation of the countryside. Development of rural tourism and second homes, which can be described as a precursor of amenity migration can alleviate the depopulation of the Czech countryside. Those two terms: second homes and amenity migration are very frequently overlapped in our conditions so it is difficult to determine the clear border between them. The second housing represents the way of spending the free time and so it can by stated as a complex phenomena and processes connected to a recreational object, most frequently represented by a cabin or a weekend house. Some users of second homes may decide to move into their second houses permanently. In this case we call this the amenity migration. This type of migration is the movement of people from an urban area in to rural areas. The amenity migration can be understood as a migration for better environment, peace, the desire to be closer to nature and the desire for a better quality of life in general.

This master's thesis is focused on the design of an apartment building and on the preparation of its project documentation. The house is located on a plot number 2162/122 in the cadastral area Město Albrechtice (693,391) on the P. Novák Street. House has a rectangularly shaped ground plan with the dimensions 28.34 x 13.84 m. It is a three storey building with two aboveground floors and an attic. On the first floor there is a vestibule, an elevator, a staircase, a bike room, one three-room apartment (with a built-in kitchen) and two two-room apartments (with a built-in kitchen). The second floor offers a staircase, an elevator, two three-room apartments and one two-room apartment (with a built-in kitchen). The attic consists of a staircase, an elevator, a utility room, a drying room and two four-room apartments (with a built-in kitchen). The foundations of the house are from concrete strips. Vertical and horizontal structure consist of the cement-chips shuttering system (Velox). The roof of the house is gabled with a slope of 8° and 11° plotted gang-nail trusses.

Title: Long range dependence in time series Author: Alexander Till Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: RNDr. Michaela Prokešová, Ph.D. Abstract: The diploma thesis demonstrates the necessity of a study of long range dependence, introduces fractional Gaussian noise and discusses possible definitions of long memory. It is done by notions of ergodic theory and by second moment characteristics and spectral density. These definitions are confronted with the model of fractional Gaussian noise and with intuitive understanding of long range memory. Relations and connections between these criteria are studied as well. The work is restricted to the study of discrete time processes. 1
