Geografické aspekty volného času: význam volného času pro formování sociálního kapitálu a lokálních identit / Geographical Aspects of Leisure: The Importance of Leisure for Shaping of Social Capital and Local Identities

Kůsová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
The thesis discusses the importance of leisure as a part of an individual's everyday life for the formation of social relationships and ties influencing whole society. In fact, leisure is understood as a sample of practices and activities with underlying social and cultural factors. These practices are allocated in time and space, having an impact on space. The study is devoted to the use of leisure, its position and importance in the general time framework of a day. There is also a discussion of the trends and shifts in society associated with broader cultural and institutional processes (transformation of the labour market, globalisation, individualisation, differentiation, post-communist transformation, and the gender question). In addition, the study empirically examines the importance and potential of leisure activities for the formation of place attachment and associated processes of the creation of social capital, contact networks and knowledge transfer. Through these effects, leisure can contribute to the endogenous development of distinct types of area. In fact, attention is focused on two ways of leisure time activities with a considerable local tie and potential for the creation of social capital. These are the second home tourism and activities performed within voluntary associations....

Významové a výrazové posuny v překladech z druhé ruky (na příkladech převodu nizozemských titulů přes němčinu) / Semantic and stylistic shifts in second-hand translations (based on examples of Dutch books translated into Czech via German translations)

Knechtlová, Eva January 2013 (has links)
(in English): This Thesis deals with the phenomenon of indirect translation. Since indirect translation is still relatively common in the Czech culture, but at the same time rather understudied, the aim of this Thesis is to describe the phenomenon in more detail and with the help of an actual text analysis to investigate the influence this method has on the final translation. Two texts were chosen for the analysis, both written by the Dutch historian Johan Huizinga, being a characteristic sample of the bibliography of Czech indirect translations of Dutch written works. Compiling this bibliography was one of the tasks of this Thesis. It documents the extent to which indirect translation was used in past and present, and it also shows what kind of texts are most likely to be translated indirectly. Finally, the chosen texts were reduced (using sample method) to fragments that were then analysed in terms of stylistic and semantic shifts. According to the analysis the most common shifts appeared to the stylistic ones, mostly those that result in weakening the original style of the author in favour of the translator's own style. What the semantic shifts concerns, in comparison with the mediating translation they seem to occur twice as often in the mediated translation.

Krystalové inženýrství nových materialů pro nelineární optiku / Krystalové inženýrství nových materialů pro nelineární optiku

Fridrichová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
This thesis focuses on preparation of novel compounds suitable for nonlinear optics (NLO). In particular, the target property is the second harmonic generation (SHG) and the group of interest are salts of the cations with delocalized electrons which can serve as carriers of the NLO properties. In particular, four derivatives of the highly interesting molecule of guanidine were selected and their NLO potential was proven by quantum chemical computations. In total, twenty new structures were described and those with the noncentrosymmetric structure assembly were examined for the SHG efficiency. Four of the prepared compounds exhibited a noticeable SHG efficiency, two of them even comparable to urea. The most promising compound, the guanylurea hydrogen phosphite (GUHP), was examined in more detail while many interesting NLO properties were revealed. The results of this work are presented also in 10 attached publications which are an integral part of the thesis. Keywords: nonlinear optics, second harmonic generation, guanidine derivatives, guanylurea, N-phenylbiguanide, N,N-dimethylbiguanide, N,N,N˝-triphenylguanidine

Předpoklady vzniku amenitní migrace v přírodním parku Česká Kanada / Emergence of amenity migration in the area of "Bohemian Canada" Natural Park, Czech Republic.

HAVLÍKOVÁ, Gabriela January 2011 (has links)
The work deals with amenity migration in a natural park "Bohemian Canada". Amenity migration is one of the current global phenomena. Amenity migration is a specific type of migration which is not motivated by economic prosperity of the target area. It is motivated by an effort to live in more valuable socio-cultural surroundings, and it is mainly directed from metropolitan to rural areas. The main aim of this work is to identify the assumptions of the model area for the creation and existence of the phenomenon of "amenity migration". The part of this finding is the identification of the main reasons of amenity migrants moving into this area. The finding of the results of this work was carried out by using a statistical survey, using the technique of interviewing respondents. The survey was carried out from April to June 2010. It was made 101 questionnaires and 95 of them were used to evaluate the results. The research was conducted in the natural park ?Bohemian Canada?. ?Bohemian Canada? is a popular tourist area. It's a rough area, yet romantic charakter, with excellent conditions for amenity migration. In the area there are many summer huts and cottages, which could constitute a potential base for amenity migration.

Recepce české literatury ve Španělsku s přihlédnutím ke zprostředkující roli němčiny / Reception of Czech literature in Spain considering the mediating role of German

Vavroušová, Petra January 2016 (has links)
The objective of the present doctoral thesis is to describe the reception of Czech literature in Spain between 1900 and 2015 with a special emphasis on German as a mediating language for translation between Czech and Spanish, placing Czech research of this phenomenon into a broad international context of investigating the role of languages and cultures in multilingual communities. The thesis further explores issues partially covered by previous research (Uličný 2005, Špirk 2011, 2014, Cuenca 2013). The theoretical part first provides a short historical context of both countries, commenting on their bilateral relations during the 20th century, analysing the publishing sector and describing the official censorship. It then provides a detailed investigation of indirect translations and introduces diverse methods in which they can be explored, highlighting the importance of paratextual material, that is paratexts (Genette 1982, 1987) and metatexts (Popovič 1975, 1983), and the influence of censorship and dominant ideology (Abellán 1980, 1982, 1987; Neuschäfer 1994). Methodologically, the present work relies on Czech and Slovak translation studies (Levý, Popovič) and the Spanish TRACE project (Rabadán, Merino). The empirical part uses the methodological tools of critical discourse analysis, author's...

Aktuální otázky přeshraničních insolvenčních řízení / Current issues of cross-border insolvency proceedings

Střížová, Veronika January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this PhD thesis is to analyse the current status of European insolvency law and with the help of both national and European judicial decisions put together an overview of practical obstacles that insolvency courts, debtors, creditors and insolvency trustees across Europe are facing when dealing with cross-border insolvencies. At the very core of this topic stands the European Insolvency Regulation ("EIR") which was adopted in 2015 and is effective within the member states as of June 2017. Since this regulation was put together as a recast of its predecessor, i.e. the original insolvency regulation adopted in 2000 and effective as of 2002, naturally this research is oriented at comparing the two legislative acts and mainly assessing whether or not the recast EIR managed to overcome some of the inconsistencies in the wording of the original EIR, often resulting in conflicting interpretations and a great deal of preliminary rulings filed with the Court of Justice of the EU. Apart from looking into good old instruments of private international law such as the scope, the jurisdiction, the choice of law and the recognition and enforcement rules governed by the EIR, this thesis also focuses on topics that are very bankruptcy-specific and dissimilar to anything we know from other fields of law....
