Frakcionace a molekulární organizace huminových kyselin / Fractionation and molecular organization of humic acidsChytilová, Aneta January 2016 (has links)
Humic acids are part of the natural organic matter occurring all around us. The aim of this thesis is to study the molecular organization, conformation of humic acids in aqueous solutions, that always raise a number of questions. For a long time, the scientists all over the world argue, if humic acid are polymers, micelles or supramolecules. Over time, thanks to new technologies, their opinions are moving away from a polymer model and tend rather to supramolecular arrangement of humic acids. Studying humic complex systems is not easy, because they are polydisperse and heterogeneous, which significantly complicates any characterization. Moreover, its molecular organization is affected by many factors such as e.g. pH, ionic strength and etc. For the study of the conformation of humic acids, concentration series of IHSS (International humic substances asociation) Leonardite humic acids stamdards in four different mediums were prepared: 0,1 M NaOH, humic acids in water with pH modified to 12 (basic medium), 0,1 M NaOH + 0,1 M HCl, 0,1 M NaCl (neutral environment). Furthermore it has been performed the fractionation of humic acids for the purpose of simplifying the complicated structure. Prepared concentration series were characterized with several analytical methods such as ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, electrophoretic light scattering, microrheology, gel permeation chromatography, potentiometric pH determination and direct conductometry. Diploma thesis is built on the previous bachelor thesis in which different sample of humic acids was studied. The measured results indicate that the studied systems show supramolecular behavior and in some cases are subject to aggregation into larger units (micelles).

Mikroreologie v koloidních systémech / Microrheology in colloid systemsHradecká, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
This master thesis is focused on the evaluation of the influence of particle surface properties on the results of microrheological measurements with biopolymer solutions. Hyaluronan has been chosen as negatively charged polymer, chitosan as positively charged polymer and glycerol and its solutions of various concentrations were used as homogenous model systems. Dynamic light scattering and single particle tracking microrheology were chosen from passive microrheological techniques. Particles with various surface modifications (neutral, positive surface charge and negative surface charge) were used for the experiments. The results of microrheological techniques were then compared with classic rheology and moreover the glycerol results were compared with tabulated values.

Studium vztahu mezi strukturou a reologickými vlastnostmi hydrogelů na makroskopické i mikroskopické úrovni / Study on Interconnection between Structure and Rheological Properties of Hydrogels on Macro and Microscopic LevelLepíková, Jana January 2016 (has links)
Diploma thesis main goal is to obtain new pieces of knowledge about relationship between hydrogel structures and its flow and transport properties. Thesis is mainly focusing on combining pertinent biopolymers into model hydrogels based on agarose. Then perform correlation of results obtained by diffusion methods, and by rheologic measurements on macroscopic and microscopic level. Properties of hydrogels were measured by selected rheologic measurements, dynamic light scattering method, and correlative fluorescence spectroscopy. From these methods various parameters (MSD modules, values of complex viscosity) were obtained. Afterwards transport properties of prepared hydrogels were studied by observing Rhodamine 6G diffusion. Here two different approaches were used. From macroscopic perspective, simple principles of mass diffusion from dye solution to cuvettes filled with hydrogels containing individual biopolymers were used. From microscopic perspective, dye was added during the sample preparation and then the mass diffusion was investigated using FCS. Based on evaluated results it was discovered that added biopolymers don’t influence properties of carrier medium, in this case agarose hydrogels. During the study of prepared hydrogels’ reactivity and barrier properties some differences were observed. Charge of biopolymer and its charge density were discovered as main factors influencing transport of charged solutes into prepared hydrogels.

Title: Acute effect of a warm-up on the force of a punch Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to test whether a warm-up before a performance affects the force of a punch at a sample participants practicing full-contact combat sports. Further goal is to analyze a change in the force of a punch depending on elapsed time after warming up. Methods: Each participant in this experimental study with intra-subject design went through all phases of the measurement, where the force of a punch was tested in four specified times (before a warm-up and then 4, 10 and 25 minutes after the warm-up). Results: No statistically significant effect of a warm-up on the force of a punch was observed, nor was there a statistically significant change in the force of a punch during the time following a warm-up. However, a warm-up did have a significant effect on change in heart rate and body temperature. Keywords: Combat sports, performance, fight, dynamic stretching, explosive power, punch sensor

Růst úvěru ve střední a východní Evropě / Credit Growth in Central and Eastern EuropeNěmcová, Helena January 2012 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the development of credit to the private sector in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries. Although the speed of credit growth in these countries has recently slowed down as the consequence of the global financial crisis, the overall increase in credit to the private sector over the past decades has been immense. As a result, the thesis examines whether this substantial increase in credit is linked to the convergence of the CEE countries towards the equilibrium or whether it represents an excessive credit growth that could threaten the macroeconomic and financial stability in these countries. We estimate the equilibrium credit levels for 11 transition countries by applying a dynamic panel data model. Since in-sample approach may bias the estimation results we perform the estimates out-of-sample using a panel of selected developed EU countries as a benchmark. The difference between the actual and estimated credit-to-GDP ratios serves as a measure of private credit excessiveness. The results indicate a slightly excessive or close to the equilibrium credit-to-GDP ratios in Bulgaria, Estonia, and Latvia prior to the financial crisis. With regard to the significant decline in GDP during the crisis this measure of credit excessiveness in these countries have further increased.
