The numerous influences which are so greatly changing rural life in America are having their effect upon the farm shopwork which farmers perform. New farm machines and tools are being introduced and used, causing the farmer to learn new operations and to acquire new skills in the maintenance, repair and use of this equipment. The farm shop is becoming an essential part of every farm. In order to carry on the farming business more economically, and thereby meet competition which is necessary in present day farming, the farmer must know how to properly use his farm mechanics needs to the best advantage.

Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εκπονήθηκε κατά το διάστημα 2013-2014 στο Εργαστήριο Συστημάτων Υπολογιστών (CSL) του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών υπό την επίβλεψη του καθηγητή Χούσου Ευθύμιου. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι η μελέτη της ηλεκτρονικής επιχειρηματικότητας και πώς οι σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες του Διαδικτύου, που διαρκώς εξελίσσονται, μπορούν να συμβάλουν στην ένταξη μιας επιχείρησης στον κόσμο του ηλεκτρονικού εμπορίου. Στην εργασία αυτή θα παρουσιαστούν, η βασική δομή και οι υφιστάμενες τεχνολογίες του Διαδικτύου ενώ στην συνέχεια θα γίνει εκτενής ανάλυση των βασικών εννοιών και οντοτήτων του ηλεκτρονικού επιχειρείν. Τέλος, παρουσιάζεται η υλοποίηση του ηλεκτρονικού καταστήματος μιας επιχείρησης λιανικού εμπορίου και η διασύνδεσή του με τις υπάρχουσες τεχνολογικές υποδομές της επιχείρησης. / This thesis has been conducted during the period 2013-2014 in the Computer Systems Laboratory (CSL) at the University of Patras under the supervision of Professor Housos Euthimios. The aim of this dissertation is the research of the field of e-business and how modern Internet technologies, which constantly evolve, can contribute to the incorporation of a company in the world of ecommerce. In this project, the basic structure and existing technologies of Internet will be exposed while key concepts and entities of e-business will be analyzed extensively. Finally, the implementation of online store retail and its interconnection with existing technological infrastructure of the business will be presented.

Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία ασχολείται με την θεωρητική ανάλυση, μελέτη και κατασκευή ενός Ηλεκτρονικού Καταστήματος (e-shop). Σκοπός της εργασίας ήταν ο σχεδιασμός και η κατασκευή μιας δυναμικής σύγχρονης ιστοσελίδας, που θα ενσωμάτωνε όλες τις απαραίτητες λειτουργίες και ευκολίες τόσο για τον απλό χρήστη-επισκέπτη της ιστοσελίδας όσο και για τον ιδιοκτήτη-διαχειριστή του Ηλεκτρονικού Καταστήματος. Απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση που ετέθη από την αρχή ήταν η χρήση εργαλείων λογισμικού “ανοικτού κώδικα”. Έτσι το βασικό λογισμικό πάνω στο οποίο βασίστηκε η ιστοσελίδα είναι: η γλώσσα scripting “PHP” στην οποία γράφτηκε ο κώδικας, το σύστημα διαχείρισης σχεσιακών βάσεων δεδομένων “MySQL” για την διαχείριση των δεδομένων και των πληροφοριών που απαιτούνται για την ομαλή λειτουργία της ιστοσελίδας και το λογισμικό “Apache HTTP server” για τη δημιουργία του διακοσμητή (Server) πάνω στον οποίο θα “τρέχει” η ιστοσελίδα. Ιδιαίτερη προσοχή έχει δοθεί στην εξασφάλιση της σταθερής λειτουργίας, της ασφάλειας και της αντιμετώπισης κακόβουλων επιθέσεων προς την ιστοσελίδα του καταστήματος. Η εργασία αποτελείται από έντεκα κεφάλαια. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μια πολύ σύντομη εισαγωγή στις σύγχρονες δυνατότητες και εφαρμογές του διαδικτύου, μία εκ των οποίων είναι η πραγματοποίηση ηλεκτρονικών εμπορικών συναλλαγών. Το δεύτερο κεφάλαιο ασχολείται με το Ηλεκτρονικό Εμπόριο, τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα που προσφέρει έναντι του παραδοσιακού εμπορίου. Το τρίτο αναφέρεται στη γενική διαδικασία δημιουργίας ενός νέου ηλεκτρονικού καταστήματος, ενώ το τέταρτο αναλύει τις απαιτήσεις ασφαλείας για μια ιστοσελίδα ενός τέτοιου καταστήματος. Το πέμπτο κεφάλαιο αναλύει τους πιθανούς τρόπους πληρωμής για τα προϊόντα που εμπορεύονται τα ηλεκτρονικά καταστήματα. Στο έκτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται κάποιες γενικές αρχές που αφορούν τις στατικές και δυναμικές ιστοσελίδες ,ενώ γίνεται μια σύγκριση μεταξύ των δυο τεχνολογιών. Στο έβδομο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται τα εργαλεία που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για την κατασκευή του Ηλεκτρονικού Καταστήματος και γίνεται αναφορά στο λογισμικό ανοικτού κώδικα. Το όγδοο κεφάλαιο αναφέρει τη δομή της ιστοσελίδα του ηλεκτρονικού καταστήματος καθώς και τη δομή της βάσης δεδομένων πίσω από αυτό. Το ένατο κεφάλαιο αναλύει όλες τις λειτουργία του Καταστήματος για τον απλό επισκέπτη, τα μέλη και τους διαχειριστές του. Το δέκατο κεφάλαιο αναλύει εκτενώς τον τρόπο που πρέπει να εγκατασταθεί το λογισμικό, το στήσιμο του server και όλες τις παράμετρες που πρέπει να ρυθμιστούν ώστε η ιστοσελίδα του καταστήματος να λειτουργεί με ασφάλεια και αξιοπιστία. Το ενδέκατο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο αποτελεί έναν επίλογο με τα συμπεράσματα και αποτελέσματα της εργασίας. Στο τέλος υπάρχει το παράρτημα που περιέχει τον κώδικα της ιστοσελίδας του καταστήματος.. Η εργασία αυτή αποτελεί μια προσπάθεια για την ικανοποίηση των σύγχρονων αναγκών που έχουν κάνει την εμφάνισή τους στην επιχειρηματική κοινότητα. Είναι μια προσπάθεια δημιουργίας της κατάλληλης υποδομής για την αποτελεσματική προσαρμογή στις σύγχρονες τάσεις των αγορών, μια προσπάθεια εκσυγχρονισμού του τρόπου που συντελούνται οι εμπορικές συναλλαγές. Αυτό συνεπάγεται αύξηση του αγοραστικού κοινού και ανοίγματα σε νέες, μεγαλύτερες αγορές. Ταυτόχρονα η επιλογή κατασκευής ενός ηλεκτρονικού καταστήματος και η μεταφορά της εμπορικής δραστηριότητας γύρω από αυτό μειώνει σε μεγάλο βαθμό το κόστος δημιουργίας και λειτουργίας ενός καταστήματος, μέσω των λιγότερων απαιτήσεων σε έμψυχο δυναμικό και υποδομές, ενώ δημιουργεί δυνατότητα εμφάνισης νέων επιχειρηματιών, με φρέσκες ιδέες, χωρίς να υπάρχει η απαίτηση της διάθεσης μεγάλων κεφαλαίων που μόνο ένα μικρό μέρος του πληθυσμού διαθέτει. / The present thesis deals with the theoretical analysis, study and manufacture of Electronic Shop (e-shop). Aim of work was the planning and the manufacture of dynamic modern web site, that would incorporate all the essential operations and facilities for the simple user of the web site and for the administrator of the Electronic Shop.Essential condition that was placed from the start was the use of opensource tools. Thus the basic software on what was based the web site is: the scripting language “PHP” in which were written the code, the “MySQL” databases management system for the management of data and information that is required for the smooth operation the web site and the software “Apache HTTP server” for the creation of the Server that is necessary for the site to run. Particular attention has been given in the guarantee of constant operation, safety and confrontation of malicious attacks to the web page of shop. The thesis is constituted by eleven chapters. In the first chapter becomes a very short import in the modern possibilities of internet, one from which is the realisation of electronic commercial transactions. The second chapter deals with the Electronic Trade, the advantages and disadvantages that it offers against the traditional trade.Third person is reported in the general process of creation of new electronic shop, while fourth analyzes the requirements of safety for a web page of such shop. The fifth chapter analyzes the likely ways of payment for the products that trade the electronic shops. In the sixth chapter are presented certain general beginnings that concern the static and dynamic web pages, while becomes a comparison between the two technologies. In the seventh chapter they are presented tthe tools that were used for the manufacture of Electronic Shop and become report in the software of open code. The eighth chapter reports her structure web page of electronic shop as well as the structure of base of data behind this. The ninth chapter analyzes all operation of Shop for the simple visitor, the members and his administrators. The tenth chapter analyzes extensively the way the software should be installed, the pose server and all parametres that should be regulated in order that the web site operates with safety and reliability. The eleventh and last chapter constitutes a conclusion with the conclusions and results of work. In the end exists the annex that contains the code of web page of shop. This work constitutes an effort for the satisfaction of modern needs that has made their appearance in the enterprising community. It is a effort of creation of suitable infrastructure for the effective adaptation in modern tendencies of markets, a effort of modernisation of way that takes place the commercial transactions. This involves increase of purchasing public and openings in new, bigger markets.Simultaneously the choice of manufacture of electronic shop and the transfer of commercial activity round this decrease to a great degree the cost of creation and operation of shop, via the less requirements in living potential and infrastructures, while it creates possibility of appearance of new businessmen, with fresh ideas, without the need of great amounts of money that only a small part of population allocates.

The purpose of this study is to develop a guide for the requirements of a comprehensive general shop, with particular attention given to (1) the development of a list of standards for planning a new shop or evaluating present facilities, and (2) to determine to what extent these standards exist ln a selected group of industrial arts shops throughout the state of California.
