The work has two parts - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part consists of two main themes: the relationship of man to nature, where we deal with the characteristics, development history and the influence of direct contact with nature in the development of individuals, and present selected aspects of the current state of the world, and values for sustainable development. The second part is devoted to environmental education, the basic starting points and objectives and identifies principles of effective environmental education. The practical part is a project of stay summer camp with ecoeducational content on the theme of "Disaster".

This thesis is focused on one of the biggest realized development areas in the Czech republic -- Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone and tries to find a solution of the current unfavourable situation in the zone which is defined by localization of only one investor. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the industrial zones in general and also to the role they play in the economic development of a region. It contains a brief characteristics of the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone, Zlín region and Kroměříž microregion where the zone is situated. An analysis of a region related the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone is not omitted from this part of the thesis. In the second part of the thesis the current situation in the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone is analyzed and the analysis is focused mainly on the topics that create conflicts between the management of the zone and the interest associations. These conflicts belong among the causes of the current minimal filling of the zone by the investors. The last part of the thesis describes and analyses the possible ways how to solve the conflict situation between the management of the zone and the interest associations and thus accomplishes the objective of the thesis. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of solving the current conflict situation related to the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone.

Tato diplomová práce z oblasti marketingu zkoumá možnost využití alternativního reklamního média zvaného GreenGraffiti jako dalšího komunikačního nástroje. Protože je pro Českou republiku a tím i české klienty tento typ reklamního média nový, je důležité vysvětlit, co přesně GreenGraffiti je, odkud pochází a jak se objevilo v České republice. Tato diplomová práce bude také zkoumat, zda je GreenGraffiti vhodným reklamním médiem pro český trh ,a které problémy je třeba vyřešit před tím, než bude zařazen do komunikačního mixu společnosti. Tato práce je napsána na základě znalostí získaných během stáže ve Studio Tomato s.r.o., které vlastnilo licenci na GreenGraffiti pro Českou republiku a také na základě informací získaných od Jima Bowese, zakladatele GreenGraffiti Holding BV.

Over the years, every major city turns into a knot of intractable problems: overpopulation, traffic jams, environmental degradation. Some countries make a faster conversion from an industrial development to an information growth phase, than the infrastructural changes take place. Therefore, environmental design and construction would not be short-termed, but rather will be the long-term targets for all the groups associated with the construction. The healthy living is one of the most important reasons to start a complicated long-term reconstruction of eco-cities. Successful ecological reconstitution requires a knowledge about already implemented exemplary solutions. For this purpose, the dissertation analyzes the basic ecological problems of settlements, analyzing the examples of approaches to improve the environmental performance of cities on the reference of foreign experience and creates criteria and principles for designing urban structures for healthy living in CR.

Sympatric speciation has received much attention both empirically and theoretically. However, the contribution of sympatric speciation to biodiversity remains unclear. One piece missing from the speciation puzzle is the plausibility of sympatric ecological divergence of species through adaptation in polygenic traits. I consider an environment consisting of two niches, where one value of the trait is advantageous in only one niche, and vice versa. The selection regime is described by a trade-off in viabilities between the niches. These polygenic traits can, and often do, involve epistatic interactions among and between loci, so that the contribution of the alleles to viability deviates from additivity. Epistasis then also affects the curvature of the trade-offs: predominant less-than-additive epistasis turns the curve towards concavity and predominant more-than-additive towards convexity. The curvature of the trade-off plays a crucial role in the evolution of populations. With a convex trade- off, extreme values of the trait are favored and the population tends to diverge, but relatively stringent symmetry in strength of selection within the niches and the niche proportions is necessary to maintain polymorphism. At present, a trend is emerging that shows the increasing application of Education for Sustainable Development in the Czech Republic. This type of education is arriving in various strategic documents and is featuring in pedagogic and andragogical practices. There is a range of indicators, mainly originating from abroad, for the assessment of this type of education and the task ahead for the Czech Republic is to adjust these indicators for the Czech environment, or create its own ones. This thesis deals with result indicators, that is to say indicators of the impact of Education for Sustainable Development on the literacy of the adult public on the local, microregional and regional levels. The thesis analyses selected national and international strategic documents as well as Czech and foreign specialised literature from the perspective of environmental education, bringing-up and further education concepts and Education for Sustainable Development. It then analyses these concepts from the perspective of educational qualities that Literacy for Sustainable Development consists of. Subsequently, it evaluates the identified qualities in an expert way in accordance with the definition of Literacy for Sustainable Development and it sets a coherent Adult Public Literacy Model for Sustainable Development....

The Ph.D. Thesis is based on the principle of open approach into the urban greenery in the frame of sustainability improvement in inner cities. Sustainable inner city planning and management brings also the supply for indicators of sustainability and life quality in urban space. The Ph.D. thesis is interested in evaluation of positive and negative impact of greenery into life quality in the inner city. There is studied the impact of greenery into the human being in the city and what has influence on urban greenery too. The thesis observes existing indicators whose describe urban greenery quality and its utilizing from the point of view of sustainability and collaterally observe the greenery perception from the city inhabitant’s point of view. On the basement of analysis and theoretical knowledge including in the thesis is for urban life quality measurement constructed new aggregated indicator – the Indicator of Common Urban Greenery Quality. This indicator is in the thesis valuated on the data set of 70 Czech cities and medium sized towns. There is valuated its possibility to describe urban greenery potential. The relationship between the indicator and clime change and other urban development changes is also solved. The indicator and its mathematical construction brings new information about urban greenery potential and its impact and usage in city sustainability and urban life quality increasing.

This thesis deals with the organic livestock production in South Bohemian region. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the South Bohemian organic meat production, production of eggs and honey and distribution of the biocommodities. Through the processing of data from the database IAEI and questionnaire survey, conducted at the level of organic farmers farming in the South Bohemian region with a valid certificate for meat production, development and the current market situation of organic meat production were assessed in the South Bohemian region.

Both the theoretical outlines of a solution to the climate and ecological crisis, as well as concrete efforts at environmental reform and energy transformation, often run into the ambivalent role of organised labour, particularly trade unions, in todays growth-oriented, fossil-fuel based economy. On the one hand, trade unions often already formally endorse the ideal of sustainability, on the other hand, in concrete environmental conflicts, they often the side with "jobs" against climate and environmental protections, and thus serve as a support of the growth-oriented fossil economy. The concept of a just transition, embodying the attempts at creating a framework in which the interests of workers and climate protection can be reconciled, thus also becomes ambivalent, serving often as a basis for arguments against more ambitious decarbonization. The aim of this thesis, drawing on the theoretical framework of critical political ecology, is to explore the possibilities of solving this dilemma in the case of Czech trade unions. The technological project deals with the processing of materials and documentation for the preparation and realization of the residential building in Brno Lišen.The project includes a technical report which closely provides basic information about the building. These information are complementing and justifying the project documentation of the construction technologies and other related documantation which are focusing on the creation of a control and test plans , support of the implementation of a safety plan on the construction site, proposal of the main building machines and mechanisms, design of the supply processes within the realization phase of the building process. It also contains technical regulations with detailed descriptions of chosen construction processes .
