Zapomínání tradičního zemědělského vědění v modernizaci. Interdisciplinární historická rekonstrukce českého lesozemědělství / Forgetting traditional agricultural knowledge in modernization. Interdisciplinry historical reconstruction of Czech agroforestry

Krčmářová, Jana January 2015 (has links)
Krčmářová Jana 2015 Title: Forgetting traditional agricultural knowledge in modernization. Interdisciplinry historical reconstruction of Czech agroforestry. Abstract: Corresponding with the tradition of current ecological and historical anthropology the study concentrated on reconstruction of transformation of one of the key complex human ecological relationships - modernization of agriculture. The roots of the changes are placed into 17th century Britain yet during the last centuries they spread over the globe and in some cases are still spreading. The process of agriculture modernization was enlightened with analysis of its local progression in the Czech Republic and in the light of mechanisms of cultural memory.. The establishment of modern industrial agriculture was described as forgetting of contemporary used agricultural knowledge during the application of new ideal agriculture form on the contemporary agricultural ecosystem. The new form was derived from the principles of modern economy, sciences and the availability of new technologies and was pushed forward by expert and economic elites and state. The form was applied on the biocultural system-landscape cultivated in majority of cases by thousand years present locals. The dialectical relationship between the new form, its application and the...

Vztah funkční a druhové diversity ptáků Jižní Afriky / Relationship between functional and species diversity of birds in South Africa

Džamba, Roman January 2013 (has links)
Species distribution and composition of bird communities of South Africa is not accidental, but is influenced by environmental conditions, habitat structure, and natural history of the area. Functional traits of the species (morphology, dietary strategies or reproductive parameters) give information on how the individuals interact with the environment they live in. The description of the functional characteristics, expose specific adaptations and the role of the species in the studied ecosystem. On the basis of functional characteristics we are able to estimate functional diversity of studied community. The spatial variability of species and functional diversity allocates longitudinal gradient. Regarding the morphological and reproductive parameters that are continuous in nature and more species- specific, we observe a faster increase in functional diversity. Considering the feeding preferences that are categorical and show a limited number of levels, a modest increase in functional diversity apparent is. Dietary functional diversity is more evenly distributed. Relationship between the functional and species diversity can provide us with information about how species are added to the community or answer the question to what extent the higher number of species requires more ecological space. The...

České a nizozemské publikum a jejich vnímání enviromentálních otázek na příkladu seriálu Teorie velkého třesku / Czech and Dutch Audience and Their Perception of Enviromental Issues on the Example of the Big Bang Theory Series

Homolková, Lenka January 2019 (has links)
In this work, I focus on the propagation of environmental issues through sitcom and comparison of the perception of these topics by Czech and Dutch audiences. I report on the results of focus group research of the American show The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019), from which artefacts were pre-selected with the assistance of thematic analysis. These findings suggest different perception of the environmental contents included in the researched series, the same as the varying perception of hypothetical promotion of the environmental issues in the future series. Generally speaking, the global sample perceives the promotion of environmental issues in popular media positively, though the degree and the form of the accepted usage of these topics vary. Czech audiences perceive the topics more negatively than the Dutch audience, showing a lower sensitivity threshold for a possible attack on their own opinions and identity. The most significant differences were observed in the perception of the concept of nature, the person interested in the environment, and the individual impact on the improvement/deterioration of the environment. A suitable tool for communicating environmental issues in the sitcom is corrective irony (allowing to emphasize the contrast between environmental awareness and personal actions to...

Sociální metabolismus českého a československého území v dlouhodobé perspektivě / Social metabolism in Czech and Czechoslovak territory in historical perspective

Kušková, Petra January 2011 (has links)
This dissertation is based on the conceptual framework of social metabolism and it applies methods of Material and Energy Flow Analysis and Ecological Footprint. It studies interactions between human activities and natural environment in Czech/Czechoslovak territory from the historical perspective (after the division of Czechoslovakia for Czechia and Slovakia together). The term of social metabolism is a metaphor inspired by biology. Society or human economy similarly to a living organism which extracts materials from the earth, processes biophysical materials to maintain itself and emits its wastes back. So the economic system functions in an analogy to a living organism and those processes are called "social" or "industrial" metabolism. This dissertation comprises seven individual empirical studies: (I) An introduction to a research topic covered in following articles. It is based on the work of leading world environmental historian and it interprets selected Czech realities within the context of the world environmental history. (II) The historical series of MEFA indicators together with ecological footprint. (III) An article which applies the ecological footprint method on the ecological farm in comparison to conventional agriculture in the context of more foreign studies on this topic. (IV) An...

Deliktní odpovědnost právnických osob v ochraně životního prostředí / Delictual Liability of Legal Persons within Environmental Protection

Pavelka, Ivan January 2013 (has links)
Disertační práce Právnická fakulta, Univerzita Karlova v Praze 1 SUMMARY The purpose of my dissertation Delictual Liability of Legal Persons within Environmental Protection is to obtain a correct idea of how the legislation on the corresponding materia de lege ferenda should be examined. This requires to summarize, analyse and evaluate national regulations in force of delictual liability of legal persons within environmental protection as well as to compare some aspects of national regulations in force of delictual liability of legal persons with corresponding foreign regulation. A significant part of threats and damage to the environment comes from the activities of legal persons. A percentage of legal persons responsible for unlawful impairment and endangering of the environment increases significantly. Establishing legal persons is often associated with the effort of individuals to avoid liability for criminal activity by committing illegal activities through a legal person. Crime in the area of environmental protection is often perpetrated by criminal organizations with a strong financial background. For these organizations particularly the illegal trade in waste is very attractive because it is less risky than, for example drug or arms trafficking. Activities that prevent environmental pollution or...

Vliv zavedení ekologických daní na veřejné rozpočty a spotřebu zdaněných paliv a energie v ČR / Impact of The Ecological Taxes on Public Budgets and Consumption of Taxed Products in The Czech Republic

KUNCOVÁ, Alena January 2011 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the influence of installation of ecological taxes upon public budgets. The aim is to review, whether collecting of ecological taxes caused reduction of consumption of the taxed fuel and energy. The comparative method is used here to compare the budget and the real payment of the ecological taxes in 2008 and 2009 in the Czech republic. The well-arranged tables and graphs show the comparison of the consumption of the fuel and energy since 2005 to 2009. The result of the research shows, that the collecting of the ecological taxes did not reach the expected amount, so the planned budget was not filled up. The consumption of the fuel and the energy in 2008 and 2009 decreased as expected, but it is impossible to appoint safely, whether the decrease was caused by the implementation of the ecological taxes to the czech legislature.

Rekultivace území zasažených těžbou a jejich možné začlenění do projektu KPÚ / Reclamation of land affected by mining and their possible integration into project of comprehensive land adjustment

MATOUŠKOVÁ, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is detailed description of solved reclamation in the selected location Cep II after gravel extraction. The part of thesis solves property settlements on the parcels concerned. The literary review outlines generally issue of mining and its impact on the landscape and ways of deal with these negative impacts. Besides the classical methods of reclamation (agricultural, forestry and hydrological reclamation) is described a method of using spontaneous restoration. There is also particularised the possibility of incorporating suitably reclaimed parcels into territorial system of ecological stability in terms of land adjustment.
