The diploma thesis deals with the topic of development and education of Czech social enterprise employees and examines how these services are provided. The research set was made of enterprises listed in the Social Entrepreneurship Directory, which declare their social mission. In the form of a questionnaire survey, it was investigated how the educational process in the enterprise proceeds from the planning, design to implementation and subsequent evaluation of educational activities. The research results show that social enterprises educate their employees, but in most enterprises it is a relatively unsystematic process, with reserves mainly on the theoretical and methodological side, which is mainly hampered by lack of funds and lack of time space. However, in the jungle of social entrepreneurship, there are clear exceptions that, despite all the obstacles, provide their staff with quality education services and care for their development. This master thesis is a case study that deals with the concept of multilevel governance and its applicability in the regulation of the modern trend in shared economy - the digital platform Airbnb. The base resource for the study is the territory of the capital city of Prague, where this phenomenon has a massive impact on the problems in legislative issues. The political debate on this agenda fills the headlines of media news and tends to lead to major changes or mobilization of the electorate in the upcoming years. The enormous rise of developing this service has put politics at all levels of government ahead of serious legislative and political challenges. Application of the Airbnb service example on our theory forms the core of the empirical part of the research. The aim of this thesis is to examine the importance and role of each individual level based on the concept of multilevel governance in relation to the regulation of the Airbnb phenomenon. This thesis is devoted to financial planning related to the establishment and management of a social undertaking during its lifecycle. It follows from the research focused on the issue of social undertakings in business in general. It describes various fields of social business activities and the best practices in financial planning and management recommended in literature. Along with this, it identifies the current situation in financial planning and management at social undertakings in the territory of the Czech Republic. In addition to the monitoring of the current situation, this paper deals with the results of the evaluation whether the undertakings which adhere to the recommended business administration methods of planning and management achieve better results. The aim of this work is to find and specify the differences between successful and unsuccessful undertakings on the basis of the defined best practices and their financial management and planning and to find a "manual" on how a social undertaking should plan and manage in order to achieve optimum results. The aim of the thesis is to present the concept of social farming and to see if it is a suitable method of social integration of people with health and social disadvantages. It is an innovative approach that brings together two concepts: multifunctional agriculture and social services. The theoretical part of the thesis clarifies the idea of social economy and social business. It also focuses on social farming in the Czech Republic and Europe. It defines its theoretical background, actors and sources of funding. The thesis examines the link between agricultural activities and social work, benefits and limits of the concept for employees, farmers and the local community, and further focuses on the current problems that social farming in the Czech Republic is facing and that hinder its development. The data was obtained through semi- structured interviews. The results of the research showed countless benefits for all involved. The biggest disadvantage was the ignorance of the concept and the associated underestimation in society.

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of social farming; its aim is to describe this phenomenon, understand it and critically discuss it in the context of social economics and social entrepreneurship. The text also proposes other frames of thought - social integration and social work, multifunctional agriculture, the Green Care concept and the social entrepreneurial theory in which social farming can be considered. The thesis also gives insight into foreign and Czech socio-agricultural practice. It uses methodology based on the principles of exploratory and descriptive case studies since it focuses on a small sample of a phenomenon not yet described in which context and content are observed. The study is divided into two sections: a theoretical part and a research part, each of which draw on professional literature, semi-structured in-depth interviews with representatives of social farms, other primary data and documents and secondary sources. The analysis of the research results displays an assessment of Czech social agriculture, which can be described as delayed when compared to western Europe, mainly due to the historical development of agriculture and social arenas of the last seventy years, while also serving as a reaction to certain contemporary social trends. Security, economic and societal challenges of the 21 century place demands on international community and deepens the need to precisely define this term and its role in the global development as well as the legitimacy of international organization, which often place themselves as representatives of the entire global community. Conflict in Afghanistan and its reconstruction is a great case study of mechanisms, which allow the international community to assess security challenges, apply former experience to respond and prepare for future operations. There are many lessons that can be learned from the case of Afghanistan. This article addresses the successes and failures connected with Afghan reconstruction and stabilization efforts and its impacts on development of the country. The article stresses the negative consequences of the international involvement as well as the deepening dependence of Afghanistan on foreign assistance.

The diploma thesis focuses on social enterprises and their use of marketing tools for their communication. In its first part the field where they operate within the Czech Republic is laid out including the legislative setting. Since the concept is relatively new here, approaches and inspiration from abroad are a cited. The part dedicated to marketing introduces different approaches to marketing presentations and to the overall communication of social enterprises and social firms. The outcome of this was to portray the possibilities of their communication with their target audiences. The research itself looks at the communication of social enterprises from several viewpoints. First of all it aims to show the approach taken by the subjects of social economy themselves. This is done through questionnaires and content analysis of documents. Also the view on the matter is expressed through an interview with a consultant of NESsT, an organization which deals with the theme of social entrepreneurship. The last angle, which is represented by a questionnaire for a selected segment of the public looks at their view of social enterprises and firms and their communication.

The diploma thesis is focused on phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge. In the first part of the thesis, research of phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge is explained. Reusing of phosphorus, a critical material of mankind, is expressed with the principles of the circular economy. The second part of the thesis defines the potential of phosphorus extraction from sewage sludge from medium-sized (Trutnov WWTP) and large (Modřice WWTP) wastewater treatment plant and a technical and economic study of the proposed phosphorus recycling system at these wastewater treatment plants is described.

The subject of this thesis are now almost extinct brick and mortar video rental stores that were a crucial film distribution window between theatre and television premiere only a few decades ago. The research focuses on the arrival of video rental stores run by small private entrepreneur in Prague 1990-1995 right after the country reinstalled its market economy. The text tries to reconstruct, describe and analyse six particular places of business via interviews with their owners and further archive materials - and in addition maybe ascertain reasons of their closure / continuance after 1995. Part of the thesis is also a list of 90 addresses of Prague video rental stores from around that time and basic figures of their arrangement.
