Dětské terénní vozidlo na elektrický pohon / Children Terrain Electric VehicleSedlář, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The master’s thesis is focused on a conceptual design of a children terrain vehicle with electric drive. At the first part there are described children terrain vehicles rules, electric drives, regulations for a frame test and types of suspension. Then a suitable electric engine, an accumulator and other important parts of the vehicle are chosen. The following part describes the frame construction and its stress-strain analysis using Finite element method. The last part of thesis describes the suspension construction and front suspension kinematics solved in a multibody software. The result of thesis is a vehicle conceptual design created in CAD software Creo, supported by results of the stress-strain and kinematic analysis.

Model Predictive Control of Electric Drives -Design, Simulation and Implementation of PMSM Torque ControlZsolt Pap, Levente January 2018 (has links)
The thesis deals with the design of a permanent magnet synchronous machine controller that isimplemented on an embedded platform to replace the off-the-shelf controller currently being used in theelectric race car of the KTH Formula Student team. Software implementation of the control algorithmwas tested in laboratory environment on the hardware prototype of a 2-level three-phase voltage sourceinverter.Field oriented control and finite control set model predictive control algorithms were implemented insimulation environment. The latter performed better in terms of reducing switching activity and torqueripple, but needs vastly more computational resources due to its nature of being an online optimizationproblem. Trade-off curve of phase current harmonic distortion and switching activity showed that themodel prediction control algorithm performs better in the low frequency range (1-20 kHz). Obtainedsimulation results were used for power electronics component selection.Field oriented control was implemented on a TMS320F28335 DSP. SPI communication was employedto configure gate driver circuits and perform error handling. The DSP program follows interrupt basedorganization and the main control loop runs on the variable frequency of the pulse width modulation.Low voltage test results on three-phase inductive-resistive load showed that the controller outputssinusoidal current. Efficiency measurement, high voltage and motor testing were hindered by interferencefrom the Silicon-Carbide MOSFETs that prohibited correct operation of hardware. / Den här uppsatsen handlar om designen och implementeringen av en motorstyrning för en permanen- magnetiserad synkronmotor, med syfte att ersätta standardmotorstyrningsenheten i KTH Formula Students tävlingsbil. Implementationen av styralgoritmen testades experimentellt tillsammans med en prototyptillverkad frekvensomriktare i labbmiljö. Regleralgoritmer för field oriented control och finite control set model predictive control implementerades och testades i simuleringsmiljö. Den senare algoritmen visade sig prestera bättre i form av lägre vridmomentsoscillationer trots lägre switch-frekvens men den kräver samtidigt mer beräkningskraft. Övertonsinnehållet (THD) i fasströmmarna som funktion av switchfrekvensen undersöktes för de båda regleralgoritmerna, algoritmen för model predictive control gav lägre THD vid lägre frekvenser (1-20 kHz). Simuleringsresultaten användes för att motivera valet av komponenter till frekvensomriktaren. Regleralgoritmen för field oriented control implementerades och testades experimentellt med hjälp av ett utvecklingskort (TMS320F28335) från Texas Instruments. SPI-kommunikation användes för att konfigurera drivkretsana samt för att utläsa felkoder. Experimentalla tester som utfördes på låg spänningsnivå visade att strömmen till lasten var sinusformad. Mätning av verkningsgrad och provning tillsammans med motorn på en högre spänningsnivå gick inte att geno av att de snabba switchförloppen i kiselkarbidtransistorerna störde ut motorstyrningen.

Lightweight friction brakes for a road vehicle with regenerative braking. Design analysis and experimental investigation of the potential for mass reduction of friction brakes on a passenger car with regenerative braking.Sarip, S. Bin January 2011 (has links)
One of the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles (HVs) is
their potential to recuperate braking energy. Regenerative braking (RB) will
minimize duty levels on the brakes, giving advantages including extended
brake rotor and friction material life and, more significantly, reduced brake
mass and minimised brake pad wear. In this thesis, a mathematical analysis
(MATLAB) has been used to analyse the accessibility of regenerative braking
energy during a single-stop braking event. The results have indicated that a
friction brake could be downsized while maintaining the same functional
requirements of the vehicle braking in the standard brakes, including
thermomechanical performance (heat transfer coefficient estimation,
temperature distribution, cooling and stress deformation). This would allow
lighter brakes to be designed and fitted with confidence in a normal
passenger car alongside a hybrid electric drive. An approach has been
established and a lightweight brake disc design analysed FEA and
experimentally verified is presented in this research. Thermal performance
was a key factor which was studied using the 3D model in FEA simulations.
Ultimately, a design approach for lightweight brake discs suitable for use in
any car-sized hybrid vehicle has been developed and tested. The results
from experiments on a prototype lightweight brake disc were shown to
illustrate the effects of RBS/friction combination in terms of weight reduction.
The design requirement, including reducing the thickness, would affect the
temperature distribution and increase stress at the critical area. Based on the
relationship obtained between rotor weight, thickness and each performance
requirement, criteria have been established for designing lightweight brake

Baigiamajame magistro darbe nagrinėjama elektros pavaros su tiesiaeigiu asinchroniniu varikliu konstrukciniai ypatumai, savybės, mechaninės charakteristikos bei kokybės rodikliai. Programiniu paketu MathCAD 2001 Professional yra sudarytas matematinis tiesiaeigio asinchroninio variklio modelis. Tyrimas atliekamas eksperimentiniu būdu, keičiant TAV parametrus (Reynoldso skaičių, neferomagnetinį sluoksnį, oro tarpą, induktoriaus plotį, variklio apvijų skaičių ir pan.), gaunamos tam tikram modeliui būdingos mechaninės charakteristikos.
Magistro darbe pateikiama bendra elektros pavarų su tiesiaeigiais asinchroniniais varikliais apžvalga ir jų savybių analizė.
Tiriamoji dalis apima apibendrinto tiesiaeigio asinchroninio variklio matematinio modelio sudarymą ir mechaninių charakteristikų tyrimą programiniu paketu MathCAD 2001 Professional. Programa skaičiavimo rezultatus pateikia grafiniu pavidalu. Gauti rezultatai yra analizuojami ir apibendrinami. Išnagrinėjus teorinius ir praktinius tiesiaeigio asinchroninio variklio darbo režimų aspektus, pateikiamos išvados ir pasiūlymai.
Tyrimo rezultatai gali būti panaudoti elektros pavarų su tiesiaeigiais asinchroniniais varikliais racionaliam ir optimaliam realizavimui greitaeigių elektros pavarų technologinėse sistemose.

Using program MathCAD 2001 Professional was created mathematical model of Linear Induction Motor. By changing Linear Induction Motor parameters (Reynolds's number, SE thickness, air gap, inductor width, number of coils and etc) getting for the defined model appropriate mechanicals characteristics. In master thesis the view of electric drive with Linear Induction Motor has been reviewed and their features analyzed. In the investigation part involves the creation of Linear Induction Motor mathematical model and investigation of mechanicals characteristics on program pack MathCAD 2001 Professional. The program displays results in graphical form. The results are analyzed and generalized. After analyzing theoretical and practical LIM motor aspects of operations, conclusions and suggestions are formed. The results of research can be used for rational and optimal realization of LIM in various technological systems. Previous issue date: 2011 / Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é o de implementar o controle de velocidade e de potência reativa de um motor de indução duplamente alimentado com orientação de fluxo de estator, mediante o ajuste das componentes de eixo direto e em quadratura das correntes de rotor, sendo o estator conectado à rede elétrica trifásica. Para isto foram utilizados quatro controladores PI: dois deles têm a função de gerar as referências dessas correntes a partir dos erros da potência reativa e da velocidade, e os outros dois, a de gerar as referências das tensões de eixo direto e em quadratura, a partir dos erros dessas mesmas correntes. Resultados experimentais do motor operando com fator de potência adiantado, unitário e atrasado são apresentados para validar a proposta. O sistema de controle, implementado por um DSP TMS320F2812, é responsável pela leitura das tensões e correntes de estator, da velocidade e da estimação da posição do eixo, pelas transformações de variáveis, pela implementação dos controladores PI, pela determinação da magnitude e posição do fluxo de estator e pela implementação da modulação do vetor espacial / Abstract: The purpose of this work is to present the implementation of the speed control and reactive power of a doubly fed induction motor with stator flux orientation, by adjusting of the direct and quadrature-axis rotor current components, being the stator fed by a triphasic network. With this aim, four PI controllers are used: two of them have the function of generating the direct and quadrature references of the rotor current from the direct and quadrature rotor voltage errors and the others two, of generating the direct and quadrature references of the rotor voltage from the direct and quadrature rotor current errors. Experimental results of the motor operating with leading, lagging and unity power factor are presented to validate the proposal.
