This thesis is focused on poetics of places and space in the novels of Czech author Ota Filip (*1930). The analysis of individual spaces displayed in Filip's work wants to demonstrate the importance of these places for the narrative construction of the autor's novels. This thesis aims to show the importance of displayed space and individual spaces for the overall sense of the fictional world in the Filip's work. The methodological basis of the thesis is the study of the Polisch scientist Janusz Sławiński: Space in Literature: Basic Division and Introductory Commonplace (2002 [1978]). "Det är ju en typisk bromance"

Jessen, Elin January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of my study is to investigate how Filip and Fredrik's relationship is perceived by listeners. To investigate this more thoroughly I also study what it is in the episode that makes them perceived in that way. The methods I use in my study are focus group interviews and call analysis. The theoretical skeleton in my study is gender perspective, focusing on Connell's masculinity theory, as well as Stuart Hall's reception theory focusing on the encoding/decoding model. The result of the study indicates that all participants in the focus groups believed that their relationship was perceived as a typical bromance. The focus groups also meant that they had a high speed in their conversation and that they did not have as wide reference management to women as they had for men. The analysis of the episode indicates that one of the reasons why Filip and Fredrik are perceived in that way is that they raised 38 persons, of whom seven were given a more detailed explanation. The remaining 31 persons had preconceived idea that we as listeners would already know about. Of the 38 persons, where five of them women, three of whom were explained by their closest male relatives. The title of this exam is a quote from one of the focus group participants, when I asked the question of how they perceived the relationship between Filip and Fredrik.

"Det är såhär en riktig man ska vara" : En retorisk analys av hur manlighet framställs i podcasts / ”This is how a real man should be” : A rhetorical analysis of how masculinity is produced in podcasts

Wahlström, Lisa, Allert, Terese January 2012 (has links)
This study examines how masculinity is portrayed in podcasts. Our original material consisted of four episodes of C/o Hannah & Amanda and four episodes of Filip & Fredrik's podcast. We analyzed the programs both individually and in comparison to each other. Using a rhetorical analysis, we found that the perception of men in the podcasts conforms to societal norms. The theoretical basis underlying our analysis can be expected to strengthen our findings and made us also realize that the image of masculinity is constantly evolving.

Apoštol Filip, jeden z Dvanácti / Apostle Philip, One of the Twelve

Mrňa, Jaroslav January 2018 (has links)
PhDr. Jaroslav Mrňa, Ph.D. Katolická teologie Název diplomové práce v anglickém jazyce: Apostle Philip, one of the Twelve. Abstrakt v anglickém jazyce: The life story of Jesus' disciple Philip is still mysterious for our knowledge, for in sources his person appears scarcely as an individual but mostly as a part of the community of the Twelve. Diploma Thesis Apostle Philip, one of the Twelve, deals with the life and mission of the Apostle Philip, as it is attested especially by canonical biblical sources. Besides an overview of the occurrence of the name Philip in the biblical and non-biblical sources, the work offers a literary and linguistic analysis of relevant pericopes from the synoptic gospels, the Gospel of John and the Acts of the Apostles, whose conclusions serve to detailed historical and theological interpretation of individual texts, focusing on topics related in particular to the origin, the mission, the mentality, the social status and the action of the Apostle Philip within the Circle of the Twelve. Attention of diploma thesis is also paid to the presence of this figure in non-biblical sources and also to his connection with the person of the same name, the deacon-evangelist Philip.

Arthur Bretaňský a jeho nároky na anglický trůn / Arthur I, Duke of Brittany and His Claim on the English Throne

Malý, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The death of king Richard The Lion Heart in 1199 caused considerable troubles to the Angevin empire, when there again raised for english medieval history very pressing question - who is legitimate successor to the throne? There were two possible pretendents, both had comparable claim to the crown. First of them was Richard's brother John, the second his nephew, at this time twelve years old duke of Brittany Arthur. Legal customs of this period theoretically admitted the succession of both men, because there were no unified successorial usage and every single part of the Angevin empire looked on this problem differently. While John was generally accepted without problems in Normandy and then he was crowned king of England, the toughest fight blazed out in Anjou, Maine and Touraine, where support was given to Arthur. He had also support of king of France Philip Augustus, who understood well, that Arthur is an ideal tool for his schemes to elimination and mastery over the Angevin empire. Whole long struggle between the nephew and his uncle was finsihed by Arthur's capture in the summer of 1202 and his subsequent death in 1203. However king John was not able to stop the dissolution of Plantagenet empire, which was reduced to the duchy of Aquitaine at the beginning of 13th century.
