Wittenova smyčka v jednoduchých rozšířeních Standardního modelu částicových interakcí / Witten's loop in simple extensions of the Standard Model of particle interactions

Miřátský, Václav January 2020 (has links)
The goal of this Master thesis is to demonstrate Witteńs mechanism in selected extensions of the Standard model based on the Pati-Salam gauge group. The purpose of this mechanism is to obtain an extremely large Majorana mass term for right-handed neutrinos at the two-loop level and consequently light physical masses of neutrinos using the type I see-saw mechanism. The existence of corresponding Feynman diagrams without any interactions of vector bosons is presented. While it is impossible to construct this type of corrections in minimal SO(10) or SU(5)xU(1) model in Pati-Salam model they may be even dominant. Subsequently, implications of possible partial gauge coupling unification or even embedding of the Pati-Salam group into a gauge group of "Great Unified Theory" are considered. At the end the possibility of unacceptably fast proton decay is inspected. The discussed models are concluded to be potentially realistic but only at the cost of predictivity, since completely unknown Yukawa couplings appear in numerous key relations. 1

Využití bezmembránové elektrolytické cely pro elektrochemické generování těkavých specií přechodných kovů / Application of non-membrane electrolytic cell for electrochemical volatile species generation of transition metals

Kobrlová, Andrea January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on the study of electrochemical generation volatile species of gold and silver. Two non-membrane electrolytic cells were constructed for electrochemical generation volatile species. These cells differ in the volume of electrode chamber. An atomic absorption spectrometry with quartz tube atomizer was used in most experiments. The equipment was performed in flow continuous mode. Experiments confirmed, that it is possible to use an atomic absorption spectrometry with quartz tube atomizer for generate volatile species of gold and silver by using two non-membrane electrolytic cells. The main part of this thesis was to find optimal conditions for the electrochemical generation of volatile species of gold and silver. These optimized parameters were: the cathode material, the type of electrolyte, the flow rate of the carrier gas, the generation current and the electrolyte flow rate. The calibration curves for both analytes were measured for both non-membrane electrolytic cells and the basic characteristics of the measurement were observed. Detection limit for electrochemical generation of gold was 1,61mg dm 3 and repeatability 3,93 %, detection limit for electrochemical generation of silver was 0,20 mg dm 3 and repeatability 7,33 %. Thanks to the experiments with a...

Konstrukce miniaturních průtokových cel pro elektrochemické generování těkavých sloučenin / Construction of miniature flow-through cells for electrochemical generation of volatile compounds

Hraníček, Jakub January 2011 (has links)
(EN) The presented dissertation thesis summarizes the new results of electrochemical generation of volatile compounds usable in atomic spectral methods. The main aim of this work is to develop and to characterize new types of electrolytic flow-through cells and to examine their possibilities of determination of arsenic, selenium and antimony by using the electrochemical hydride generation technique coupled with atomic absorption spectrometry with a quartz tube atomizer. Individual electrolytic cells were designed and constructed to comply with two important requirements. The cathode chamber of the electrolytic cell should have a minimal volume and a high efficiency of analyte conversion to the volatile hydride. Constructed electrolytic cells are divided into the construction groups and described in the experimental part. Selenium was chosen as the first analyte. The relevant working parameters (such as type, concentration and flow rate of electrolytes, generation current and carrier gas flow rate) were optimized for each newly constructed electrolytic cell. Under the optimal working parameters, the basic characteristics of selenium determination were found out by using electrochemical hydride generation. The electrolytic cells were compared to each other and with the classical electrolytic cell...

Krystalové inženýrství nových materialů pro nelineární optiku / Krystalové inženýrství nových materialů pro nelineární optiku

Fridrichová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
This thesis focuses on preparation of novel compounds suitable for nonlinear optics (NLO). In particular, the target property is the second harmonic generation (SHG) and the group of interest are salts of the cations with delocalized electrons which can serve as carriers of the NLO properties. In particular, four derivatives of the highly interesting molecule of guanidine were selected and their NLO potential was proven by quantum chemical computations. In total, twenty new structures were described and those with the noncentrosymmetric structure assembly were examined for the SHG efficiency. Four of the prepared compounds exhibited a noticeable SHG efficiency, two of them even comparable to urea. The most promising compound, the guanylurea hydrogen phosphite (GUHP), was examined in more detail while many interesting NLO properties were revealed. The results of this work are presented also in 10 attached publications which are an integral part of the thesis. Keywords: nonlinear optics, second harmonic generation, guanidine derivatives, guanylurea, N-phenylbiguanide, N,N-dimethylbiguanide, N,N,N˝-triphenylguanidine

Similarity Measures for Nominal Data in Hierarchical Clustering / Míry podobnosti pro nominální data v hierarchickém shlukování

Šulc, Zdeněk January 2013 (has links)
This dissertation thesis deals with similarity measures for nominal data in hierarchical clustering, which can cope with variables with more than two categories, and which aspire to replace the simple matching approach standardly used in this area. These similarity measures take into account additional characteristics of a dataset, such as frequency distribution of categories or number of categories of a given variable. The thesis recognizes three main aims. The first one is an examination and clustering performance evaluation of selected similarity measures for nominal data in hierarchical clustering of objects and variables. To achieve this goal, four experiments dealing both with the object and variable clustering were performed. They examine the clustering quality of the examined similarity measures for nominal data in comparison with the commonly used similarity measures using a binary transformation, and moreover, with several alternative methods for nominal data clustering. The comparison and evaluation are performed on real and generated datasets. Outputs of these experiments lead to knowledge, which similarity measures can generally be used, which ones perform well in a particular situation, and which ones are not recommended to use for an object or variable clustering. The second aim is to propose a theory-based similarity measure, evaluate its properties, and compare it with the other examined similarity measures. Based on this aim, two novel similarity measures, Variable Entropy and Variable Mutability are proposed; especially, the former one performs very well in datasets with a lower number of variables. The third aim of this thesis is to provide a convenient software implementation based on the examined similarity measures for nominal data, which covers the whole clustering process from a computation of a proximity matrix to evaluation of resulting clusters. This goal was also achieved by creating the nomclust package for the software R, which covers this issue, and which is freely available.

Implementace součtového datového typu v C++ / Implementation of Sum Data Type in C++

Novák, Samuel Matyáš January 2020 (has links)

Generation of Synthetic Retinal Images with High Resolution / Generation of Synthetic Retinal Images with High Resolution

Aubrecht, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)

Generování pásmově omezených číslicových zvukových signálů v reálném čase / Real-Time Generation of Band-Limited Digital Audio Signals

Maule, Petr January 2010 (has links)
Master’s thesis deals with the generation of digital audio signals with band-limited frequency spectrum, i.e. without the aliasing distortion. Various methods of generating band-limited rectangular, triangular, and sawtooth waveforms are described in the theoretical part. The described methods are programmed in the Matlab programming environment and compared in terms of real-time parameter changes, such as duty cycle change of rectangular waveform or continuous change of frequency. The main part of the thesis describes implementation of methods of successive integration of band-limited impulse train and method of differentiated parabolic waveforms in C++ language. The implemented methods were integrated into a plug-in of VST technology that generates an audio signal in real time. The implemented methods are compared in terms of computational complexity and distortion of the generated signal.
