The topic of this thesis is oriented on field of information technologies, especially on a field
of development of the game applications for Android using OpenGL. At the first part of the
thesis is described current situation in a mobile game industry, the most popular operation
systems and opportunities of monetization for single developers or firms. In this part follows
short review of the necessary software and hardware technologies for designing modelling
application, architecture designing, creating of the graphic units, implementation chosen
solution in Java language using LibGDX and Box2D. At the conclusion will be analyzed the
results of the done work and feedback of the users.

The smartphone market is growing rapidly, between Google Play and App Store more than 25 billion apps have been downloaded since 2008. Today many companies develop their own smartphone applications (apps) for their customers. We believe that many apps are developed without much consideration about the actual value it brings to the customer, and through them, value for the company. Instead they create applications with hope of keeping the company modern. Developing and implementing apps in a business is neither easy nor free and must therefore add value to the business in some way. By conducting a customer survey, we study customer’s perception and user behaviour of apps from the bank and grocery store business. The survey shows that customers in the grocery store business have very little awareness off these apps. While in the bank business customers have adopted apps in a much higher frequency. With focus on the customer’s perspective this paper discusses the challenges of making "good" apps and the potential of the technology, and thereby suggests ways to develop apps that the customers will recognize and appreciate.

Yes / The use of smartphones has become more prevalent in light of the boom in Internet services and Web 2.0 applications. Mobile stores (e.g., Apple’s App Store and Google Play) have been increasingly used by mobile users worldwide to download or purchase different kinds of applications. This has prompted mobile app practitioners to reconsider their mobile app stores in terms of design, features and functions in order to maintain their customers’ loyalty. Due to the lack of research on this context, this study aims to identify factors that may affect users’ satisfaction and continued intention toward using mobile stores. The proposed model includes various factors derived from information systems literature (i.e., usefulness, ease of use, perceived cost, privacy and security concerns) in addition to the dimensions of mobile interactivity (i.e. active control, mobility, and responsiveness). The study sets out 13 hypotheses that include mediating relationships (e.g., perceived usefulness mediates the influence of ease of use, active control, responsiveness and mobility; perceived ease of use mediates the influence of active control). As well as outlining the proposed research method, the research contributions, limitations and future research recommendations are also addressed.

The main subject of this diploma thesis is the mobile digital distribution market. The first chapter defines important terms and describes the area comprehensively. The second chapter lists examples of some platforms, shows statistical data and introduces common business models. The third chapter compares the Apple App Store and Google Play based on selected criteria. The fourth chapter deals with conducted survey data in order to test the hypothesis that czech consumers in general do not show a difference in attitude towards mobile distribution storefronts compared to their foreign peers. The fifth and last chapter tries to analyze technical backgrounds of varying content availability across different countries. Also, it deals with selected legal issues.

The diploma thesis answers set questions that relate to two different distribution environments, the two options for developers to directly offer their mobile applications to the end users. Distribution is being conducted in the App Store and Google Play application stores, where only such applications that oblige basic requirements can be released and provided to customers. The requirements, official sources of information and support services of the two providers are analyzed in the theoretical part of the thesis. Processes revolving around the application distribution itself are described in the following practical part. Distribution consists of processes from the developer account registration to submitting the application for a review or a check. Sufficient knowledge base could be gathered not only due to a proper exploration of the issue, but also due to an actual application release accomplished by the author. A cross-platform mobile application to be released has been developed solely for the purposes of this diploma thesis. The application has been built in two platform specific versions. Whilst publishing it, an emphasis was laid on keeping the conditions as similar as possible to achieve viable case study results. The application release represents the case that produced all data that enabled a direct comparison and overall evaluation of the different developer settings at the end of the thesis. Findings and conclusions of this thesis can be used by developers and other interested parties that are looking for an integrated source of information that regards releasing a cross-platform mobile application on iOS and Android platform.

Porovnání mobilních operačních systémů z pohledu vývoje, distribuce a monetizace aplikací / Comparison of mobile operating systems from the perspective of the development, distribution and monetization of applicationsSvoboda, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is to compare the most widely used mobile operating systems from the perspective of the development, distribution and monetization of applications developed for these systems. Compared systems are Android, iOS, Symbian OS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry OS. The thesis defines a total of 16 criteria against which systems are compared. These criteria are further divided into three categories, namely SDK features, functionality and distribution and monetization. All criteria have assigned weights which are determined by the paired comparison method using the Fuller's triangle, which is part of the Annexes of this work. Practical part of this thesis is focused on determining the values of defined criteria. Each criterion is evaluated separately, including an analysis of results. The overall evaluation is performed in a separate part of the thesis and is composed by categories evaluation and overall evaluation.
