Aim of this study was to assess distribution and abundance of common synanthropic species of birds (House sparrow, Tree sparrow, Eurasian collared dove and Blackbird) in area of the city České Budějovice in the Czech Republic in autumn and winter. Habitat preferences of these species were analysed. Study also determined influence of the certain characteristics of urban vegetation on their occupation by both species of sparrows.

This thesis develops quantitative indicators of environmental sustainability for Mexico City and its metropolitan zone of influence (MCMZ). These indicators of sustainability were developed by taking into account seven key variables for the urban environment: the water supply situation, air pollution, transportation and roads, energy, solid wastes, the housing supply and green areas. Based on these indicators and the history of the city's physical evolution since it was founded seven centuries ago, a desirable type of urban form is proposed, one in which there is a "decentralized concentration" which would allow Mexico City to approach sustainability in a time frame that concludes in or about the year 2030. Accordingly, the thesis proposes urban policy measures that, while addressing issues of sustainability, permit Mexico City to face the challenges of globalisation, which would entail transforming it into a "global city'' within a worldwide network of great cities. The urban policy and environmental measures that are recommended anticipate the largest economic, demographic and technological changes that will affect Mexico City, but are above all in harmony with the natural ecosystems of the elevated endorheic basin in which it lies. They do no call for a break with or the alteration of the city's natural landscape or its already constructed historical patrimony and, when possible, they presuppose a new sustainable hydraulic model, capable of restoring lakes and recharging the underground aquifer. Diploma thesis on a topic ‘Municipal restaurant‘ deals with a new building proposal of a restaurant. An object is designed in the central part of a village called Štěměchy. It is a brick detached building in a slightly sloping terrain. The new building is a double-storeyed. The building has a letter ‘L‘ shape in the floor plan. The main entrance is situated from the south-east side. We can enter the restaurant from the wind lobby. The restaurant is connected with a bar and an outdoor terrace. There is a beverage store etc. next to the bar. A sanitary located background and a cleaning room are at the back side. There are accessible bowling lanes from this place. There are two entrances to the building from the north-east side. We can enter the outdoor equipment storage from the first door and the second one to the hallway which is served as for deliveries, an employee´s entrance and for taking the rubbish out from the waste repository of the kitchen. The hallway connects the restaurant to the kitchen which adheres to the rough vegetable preparation, a store with a freezer and some fridges, a dry store, a background for employees, an office, a cleaning room, an oil store, a mixed waste, a cooled waste and a utility room. There is an attic which is accessible from the wind lobby behind the main entrance. We can go to the hallway up the stairs. The hallway connects the area for exercise and an associated store of exercise aids to the roof terrace, the cleaning room and the sanitary facilities. The sanitary facilities is divided to the men´s part and women´s part. It is made by changing rooms, showers and toilets. The wall system is formed by ceramic blocks of Porotherm. There are a timber joist floor and a plank floor in the attic part. There is a system ceiling of Porotherm company where is placed a warm flat roof´s assembly with an extensive greenery . The attic part is roofed by the sloping gable double–layer roof which is made by a timber collar beam´s roof truss.

The aim of this diploma thesis is the elaboration of a technical study of Gorkého Street in Brno - Veveří. In the diploma thesis, three variants of situations will be elaborated, which will focus on several different criteria. Variant 1st. focuses primarily on cyclists, a dedicated bike lane and a parking space with sloping and longitudinal layouts. In variant 2nd. is the effort to preserve the existing width arrangement, the original street greenery is preserved. The parking spaces are perpendicular and cycling is covered by a pictogram. Variant 3rd. is primarily concerned with the number of parking spaces. Variant 2nd. was selected for detailed development. The street will be completely reconstructed due to the construction of sewerage and water supply. All construction modifications are designed according to valid standards and regulations.

The topic of this master‘s thesis was to create a settlement structure on the territory of the cadastral territory of the town of Náměšť nad Oslavou. Specifically in the southwestern part of the town, in the places of today's agricultural areas. The main goal of the thesis is to create a quality residential structure for the entire area, which will connect to the surrounding development, to create a center with urban amenities for this newly designed neighborhood. A key aspect of the design is the transport connection to the existing road network of the city and overcoming the barrier formed by the railway line. The proposed development responds to the current and future anticipated needs of the city. Taking into account the size, the proposed area is divided into three parts with regard to the time sequence and the nature of the development. From an urban point of view, the first phase builds on the existing network of streets and creates a transition between the original and the proposed development and proposes transport connections to the area. In the second and third phase, the remaining area of the proposed area is resolved, by a system of regular streets designed in places with a small slope of the terrain, connected by short streets with a higher slope. The master‘s thesis addresses the connection between the city and greenery, increases the attractiveness of the area by designing public facilities and services and works with visual axes from the existing housing and commercial development to the proposed location.

The diploma thesis deals with the proposal of optimal functional and spatial use of the area for environmentally friendly tourism in Strachotín. The location is characterized by suitable natural conditions and land for quality vineyard management. That is why I propose a winery, a cider, a distillery, accommodation with a restaurant and a wellness area in the area. I elaborate the winery object and related accommodation in more detail. The most important object is the operation of the winery. The building dominates and interacts with the adjacent accommodation and restaurant building. Parts of the facade are designed as openwork ventilated facades that create the architectural character of the buildings.

Urban and architectural study of environmentally friendly tourist area Strachotín The urban and architectural concept will take into consideration the landscape characteristics with view to the economic, social and environmental aspects.

Diplomová práce zpracovává komplexní návrh nového Centra prevence rakoviny v areálu Masarykova onkologického ústavu na Žlutém kopci v Brně. První stavba svého druhu v České republice doplňuje současnou zástavbu nemocničního areálu. Koncepce navrženého souboru budov se zaměřuje na kontakt hranice nemocničního areálu s nově vznikající obytnou čtvrtí v této lokalitě. Návrh obsahuje jak samotné centrum prevence, lůžkové oddělení nebo protonové centrum, tak pronajímatelné prostory pro další služby široké veřejnosti.

New komplex of school buildings in Ostrava on Černá louka is the school with perspective for the future. It provides overall education and concentrate on maximum efficiency of learning proces. The idea links the theory with practical demonstration and intense learning with relaxation in nature enviromnemt. The teaching system support the independent activity of each individual and self-realization for everyone. The school allows some variability of internal organization of space and take into consideration the technology development and the capacity of youngsters to understand it and embrace it.

Theme of my work is arguable for the cities which are situated near the river. Riverbanks are really nice public space but a lot of them are not "designed for people". Before I started do this work I was thinking about places which are ignored or overlooked in Znojmo town. Yes, town has a lot of places which are interesting and need "new face". There are brownfiels but problems of these localities was designed many times. And I wanted to find some new way, try restore and improve public space in connecting by the river. I chose locality which connect two important buildings – Znojmo castle and Louka monastery. There is needed to improve connection this locality to town centre.
