This theses includes 4 case studies covering - (1)an examination of the anthropometric and physical characteristics of youth female team handball players (16.07 ± 1.30 y) in non-elite (n= 47), elite (n= 37) and top-elite players (n= 29); (2) a comprehensive analysis of team handball match play in youth English U18 Men’s National League players through the assessment of player movement demands, technical actions and heart rate during match play and secondly, the impact of team handball competition on fatigue during and after matches; (3) an investigation into neuromuscular fatigue and well-being of English handball players during a training camp and an international tournament; (4) the effect of two different interchange strategies on performance and pacing strategy during a simulated team-sports protocol.

Objetivo: Describir el nivel de estabilidad funcional del core en jugadores de la selección de Handball salón. Diseño: Se realizará un estudio descriptivo de los resultados obtenidos de la herramienta de evaluación 9STB, que anteriormente fue realizada a los deportistas de Handball salón de Lima.

Title: Financing of handball in Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of the study is to analyse financial sources of the Czech Handball Federation. This analysis should lead to clarify funding of each activities of CHF. Another objective is to assess the possible risks of individual financial sources in the future. Methods: In the diploma theses are used these research methods: descriptive analysis of available documents of CHF related to financing of individual activities of CHF and SWOT analysis, which should show possible risks and opportunities in financing of federation. Results: The results should explain the issues of economy of CHF sport organization and contribute to the understanding of financial relations in the sports organization. The present study is a mixed method longitudinal design, containing three objectives. Object one was to develop a team-specific survey instrumentin order to measure emotion, concentration and performance during a game. Object two was to examine the dynamics of emotion, concentration and performance in successful and less successful games. Object three was to study the relationship between emotion, concentration and performance in successful and less successful games. The participants (n= 15, age= 22.8) in the study consisted of 15 women, all players in the same elite handball team.Qualitative data was obtained by two workshops in order to construct the instrument. Quantitative data was collected after games, using the team specific instrument. The study includes data over a six game period containing four successful games and two less successful games. Results showed a significant difference between successful and less successful games regarding all three variables measured. Both positive and negative relationships were found. The results also showed different relationships regarding successful and less successful games. Several practical team-specific applications were suggested, such as working with emotional regulation to enhance performance. Investigating if athletes are more prone to be influenced emotionally by their performance when performing poorlyis one of several suggestions proposed for future directions.
