Suspension du Capital-Monde par la production de la jouissance : Marx entre Aristote et la phénoménologie / Suspension of the World-Capital by enjoyment production : Marx between Aristotle and phenomenology

Trevini Bellini, Alessandro 19 November 2011 (has links)
The “suspension of the World–Capital by enjoyment production” announces something which belongs to the political order, and which fully concerns Marx’s thinking. As the subtitle indicates it aims to grasp the meaning of capital as “World Capital” thanks to the phenomenology, and to think about production as an “enjoyment production”, thanks to the praxis given by Aristotle. We therefore accept the challenge of a reading of Marx’s work, liberated both from Marxism and the modern philosophy horizon, in order to reveal the ontology at work since his early writings. In this respect, we will try to topicalise the issue of the domination of capital. Indeed, Marx did not finish to teach us how to analyse the essence of capitalism and to show us in which direction to take in order to produce differently i.e. to act freely and enjoy our works. Starting from the debate on the young Marx, we will indulge in a sort of genealogy of the constitution of his ontology. This road, full of deadlocks and blind-alleys, represents the main part of our work. In this context, our problem consists mainly in grasping the “logic device” of the 44 manuscripts in order to show that as an eidetic material it permits to understand the formality which will then found Das Kapital. Our duty will consist at the same time to seize the Marxian notion of activation in order to show that as a constitutive praxis, this notion makes possible the suspension of the totality of the functioning philosophical conditions of the World-Capital.

Vývoj osídlení Baktrie v období helénismu / Settlement development of Hellenistic Bactria

Havlík, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
Jakub Havlík, Vývoj osídlení Baktrie v období helénismu Abstract: Primarily based on the archaeological evidence, the aim of the proposed thesis is to present an image of a settlement situation in the region of Bactria (Central Asia) during the Hellenistic period. The main subject of the study is a comparison of settlement patterns of the Achaemenid and Hellenistic periods, as well as a characterization of settlement transformation, which occurred after the conquest of Alexander the Great, after almost two hundred years of Greek rule in the area. In this thesis, the individual settlement-sites are classified according to their size and their hypothetical function in the whole settlement structure. Besides the morphology of the site, their position was examined, as well as a distribution and mutual relations within the context of the natural landscape. Attention was paid to larger sites (cities, fortified settlements), and minor ones (rural settlements) and their agglomerations, as well as specific settlement forms, such as fortresses or sanctuaries. All the studied settlements are presented in form of catalogue and maps. Data analysis shows that a huge decrease in settlement structure and a break in development can be observed in relatively large part of Bactria, at the end of Achaemenid period, what...

Interações culturais no interior dos cristianismos : experiências religiosas plurais na Costa Norte-africana nos dois primeiros séculos da Era Comum / Cultural interactions in interior christianities : plural religious experiecies in North African Coast in the first two centuries of the Common Era

This work intends to rethink the dating established for the rise of the Christian Communities on the North African coast, specifically in the regions of Egypt and Alexandria, commonly established between the third and fourth centuries, with some considerations for the second half of the second century. This perspective has an intense work of building a theory of methodological analysis aimed at establishing a pattern from the Pauline corpus of knowledge and documentation centers studying Jewish populations outside of Palestine region consequence of successive processes of domination. It is important to note that perspective of this work is anchored in fact that when it comes to ancient culture and religion, in general and ancient Christianity and Judaism, in particular, is only possible treatment in the plural, given that these processes involve all ambiguities and we think that the attempt to homogenize is closely linked to power relations that are established in politics, gender relations, these practices serve to build intolerant and fundamentalist attitudes. This Researchsought to lower the chronology of experiences "Christians" based on the documentation, talking to the theory of Carlo Ginsburg (1989) theory dealing with evidentiary paradigms applied to the New Testament, canonical and non-canonical material, along with letters and texts coming from the polytheistic world / Doutorado / Historia Social / Doutor em História

Measuring Greekness: A novel computational methodology to analyze syntactical constructions and quantify the stylistic phenomenon of Attic oratory

Bozia, Eleni 18 October 2018 (has links)
This study is the result of a compilation and interpretation of data that derive from Classical studies, but are studied and analyzed using computational linguistics, Treebank annotation, and the development and post-processing of metrics. More specifically, the purpose of this work is to employ computational methods so as to analyze a particular form of Ancient Greek language that is Attic Greek, “measure” its attributes, and explore the socio-political connotations that its usage had in the era of the High Roman Empire. During the first centuries CE, the landscape of the Roman Empire is polyvalent. It consists of native Romans who can be fluent in Latin and Greek, Greeks who are Roman citizens, other easterners who are potentially trilingual and have also assumed Roman citizenship, and even Christians, who identify themselves as Roman citizens but with a different religious identity. It comes as no surprise that language is politicized, and identity, both individual and civic, is constantly reshaped through it. The question I attempt to answer is whether we can quantify Greekness of native and bilingual speakers based on an analytic computational study of Attic dialect. Chapter 1 provides a discussion of the three aforementioned scholarly fields, which were pertinent for the study. I present the precepts of computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, and digital humanities so as to further explicate what prompts this work and how the confluence of three methodologies significantly enhances our apprehension of the issue at hand. In Chapter 2, I approach Greekness, Latinity, and Atticism through the writings of Greek and Roman grammarians and lexicographers and provide the complete list of all the occurrences of the aforementioned notions. Chapters 3 and 4 explicate further the reasoning behind the usage of the Perseids framework and the Prague annotation system. They then proceed to relate the metrics developed, the computational methods, and their subsequent visualization to quantify and objectify the previously purely theoretical inferences. The metric system was developed after careful consideration of the stylistic attributes of Ancient Greek. Therefore, each metric “measures” something pertinent in the formation of the language. The visualizations then afford us a more understandable and interpretable format of the numerical results. For philologists, it is interesting to view the graphic presentation of humanistic ideas, and for the computer scientists the applicability of their methods on a topic that is predominantly philological and social. Finally, chapter 5 recontextualizes the numerical results and their interpretations, as were acquired in chapters 3 and 4, and thus sets the parameters necessary to discuss them in conjunction with readings of literary texts of the period of the High Empire. My intention is to show how numbers are “translated” into a different “language,” the language of the humanist.:Acknowledgments Page 6 Chapter 1: Introduction Page 7 1.1 Focus of the Study Page 7 1.2 Classical Studies and Digital Humanities Page 9 1.3 Corpus Linguistics Page 13 1.4 Humanities Corpus and Corpus Linguistics Page 15 1.5 Synopsis of the Project Page 17 Chapter 2: Linguistic Purity as Ethnic and Educational Marker, or Greek and Roman Grammarians on Greek and Latin.
