The problem of this study was to determine the criteria and procedures used by superintendents of selected public high schools districts in Texas in the selection of high school principals. This study had two main purposes : (1) to ascertain criteria and procedures that the superintendents of selected public school districts of Texas are using in the selection of high school principals, and (2) to make recommendations to improve the selecting of high school principals.

The problem of this study was an investigation of teacher and administrator perceptions of teacher evaluation and the relationship of those perceptions to teacher evaluation policies and practices in public high schools in the State of Texas.

This study sought to investigate the secondary school principal's leadership behavior as perceived by secondary school teachers and principals in Nakorn Pathom, Thailand. The study had two purposes: to determine whether significant differences existed between teachers' perceptions of principal leadership behavior based on the variables of sex, years of teaching experience, educational level, and size of school; and to determine whether significant differences existed between the perceptions of principals and teachers with regard to the principal's leadership behavior.

The purposes of this study, dealing primarily with the principals of the four-year high school who are affected by the administrative requirements, are to determine (1) the probable effect of the higher standards upon the principals as judged by their responses in meeting the requirements of the 1936 ruling, (2) whether the State, the principal, or both are paying for the improvement of the administration in the public schools resulting from the 1936 ruling, (3) attitudes that resulted from the conditions arising from the demands of the standards of the 1936 ruling, and (4) the probable result of the 1940 ruling.

Principals in schools that are failing to meet the expected standard in terms of Grade 12 performance have a role to play in order to change the situation in their schools around. Although there are various factors contributing to the decline in Grade 12 performance in their schools, principals are still seen to be the key figures in determining quality education in their respective schools. They should, therefore, become active change agents in the transformation process in education. Their cooperation with the EAZ teams introduced by Kader Asmal in 1999 is therefore necessary for their schools to improve. By the way, a leader does not tell subordinates “what to do” but rather shows them “how to do things”. However, a qualitative research design was employed to establish the role of the principals in the Gauteng Province in implementing the EAZ as an intervention strategy. Barriers to the success were identified. Strategies to assist principals in overcoming barriers are also recommended. Ultimately, all schools have an obligation to produce good results. / Prof. K.C. The problem of this study is to determine if school climate perceptions are stable among the departmental subgroups of the high school. In addition, the study seeks to determine if the subject area of the department or patterns of leadership behavior of the department head (as perceived by teachers in the department) have a significant relationship to how teachers within a department perceive the climate of their school.
