No. of bitstreams: 1 Fedatto_CarolinaPadilha_D.pdf: 5385449 bytes, checksum: e188d503a6cfecc09eb1bfa58cce0679 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011 / Resumo: Na fronteira entre o domínio da análise do discurso, a área de história das idéias lingüísticas e a de saber urbano e linguagem, esta tese busca compreender os modos de inscrição do saber no discurso sobre a cidade. partimos do pressuposto de que o saber se legitima tanto institucional quanto quotidianamente e de que o espaço, assim como a linguagem e os sujeitos, assume formas-históricas determinadas materialmente. ao buscar na história de construção das cidades vestígios da construção do saber no espaço nacional, mostraremos, primeiramente, como se dá a identificação dos sujeitos ao urbano através da poesia inscrita na língua; num segundo momento, definiremos as especificidades dessa identificação relativamente ao paralelismo entre os processos de gramatização e urbanização e à construção dos monumentos urbanos enquanto patrimônio. a cidade é, pois, junto com a língua nacional e a historiografia, um lugar imaginário de unificação da nação pela criação e afirmação de um nós nacional. procurando a sustentação quotidiana dessa unidade, examinaremos, finalmente, a imbricação entre o nome próprio e a imagem na espacialização do urbano em recortes da história brasileira. nossas análises mostram que tanto o nome quanto a imagem fazem existir um espaço uno no interior da história que o funda. a partir da observação da cidade desde sua origem européia a seus desdobramentos coloniais, compreendemos a formação do espaço brasileiro em função do processo de transposição, que ressignifica os objetos de saber em relação ao seu espaço de produção. essa é sua resistência. o saber é entendido, portanto, como uma forma-histórica do conhecimento que especifica no espaço um efeito da temporalidade. a cidade brasileira situa um saber onde urbanidade e nacionalidade se confundem e que se localiza também no silêncio que espacializa os sentidos / Abstract: On the borders of discourse analysis field, history of linguistic ideas and urban knowledge and language, this thesis seeks to understand the ways knowledge is inscribed in the discourse about the city. we are based on the assumption that knowledge is legitimated institutionally and also by quotidian and that space, as well as language and subjects, assumes historical-forms materially determined. By searching the history of cities' construction for vestiges of knowledge construction in national space, we will show, firstly, how the identification of subjects to the urban occurs through the poetry inscribed in language; secondly, we will define the specificities of this identification related to the parallelism among the processes of grammaticalization, urbanization and the construction of urban monuments as cultural heritage. city is, thus, together with national language and historiography, a unifying imaginary place of a nation by the creation and affirmation of a national us. By searching for the quotidian support to that unity, we will examine, finally, the imbrication between proper name and image in the spatialisation of the urban in fragments of brazilian history. analysis show that name and image bring to existence a unified space inside history which establishes itself. through the observation of the city from its european origins to its colonial unfoldings, we understand the formation of brazilian space by the process of transposition, which resignifies the objects of knowledge according to the place of production. this is its resistance. Knowledge is understood, therefore, as a historical-form of what is known which specifies in space a temporality effect. the brazilian city situates a knowledge where urbanity and nationality conflate and is also located in the silence which spatializes the senses / Doutorado / Linguistica / Doutor em Linguística
