The thesis describes the circumstances of founding, development and transformation of the Grammar school in Jilemnice from 1913 to 1948 in the context of the political, economic and social changes and, also, changes of the national education policy. The paper consists of two major parts: the first one describes the historical development of the grammar school as a type, and thus forms a theoretical basis for the second part focused on the history of the Grammar school in Jilemnice itself. The latter part puts forward a picture of a daily life of the institution that was established by Czech citizens to support the Czech language and the national identity in a predominantly German-speaking area. It also presents problems the school faced during the peace time as well as during the global war conflicts, including the temporary closure of the school from 1941 to 1945. The paper finishes in 1948 when the character of the Grammar school changed significantly due to Act no. 95/1948 Sb. The appendices provide personal history of selected professors and memories of several former students.

The thesis deals with an overview of the history of First Aid, focusing on the development of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a historical-comparative work of theoretical nature. The intention is to map the knowledge and experience that can be used effectively to develop and study the issue. When writing a thesis, an analysis of the available literature, both historical and contemporary, foreign and Czech, was used. Articles from professional periodicals and monographs were searched. The work was, for the sake of completeness, supplemented with period pictures and diagrams. The introduction justifies the choice of the topic and depicts the current state of knowledge in the field of First Aid. The next chapter explains the basic concepts which are important for orientation in the issue. Following a historical study First Aid aimed at developments providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The chapter is divided into subchapters describing the chronology of events to present recommendations for resuscitation and First Aid, so called CPR Guidelines 2015. The last chapter deals with the basic legal minimum. Title of diploma thesis: Historical Evolution of Pharmacy in the Region of Banská Bystrica The main subject and aim of the thesis is an attempt to depict the determining features of historical development of pharmacy in the defined region of the town of Banská Bystrica from the most distant past until the contemporary present time. The issue of history of pharmacy is observed in close connection to significant events and particularities in general historical development of the town and the surrounding region. It is simultaneously assessed in immediate connection with the fundamental milestones in the area of medical care. The thesis is focused on chronological description of individual pharmacies in Banská Bystrica. The final part is dedicated to the changes in pharmacy after 1989 and the contemporary situation of pharmacies.

(in English): The diploma thesis focuses on the Czech contemporary scientific zoological illustration since 20th century till today. In the beginning it describes history and development of the scientific zoological illustration in Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis describes in detail the scientific zoological illustration in period since the 20th century till today. It reveals it's form, influences, techniques used and the work of it's main representatives. Thesis introduces realistic zoological illustration as used in professional and educational literature. It will try to uncover influence of computer-created imagery to conventional artistic techniques in the scientific zoological illustration. It will bring attention to the role of the scientific realistic illustration as well as its possibility to go beyond the educational purpose to boost reader's affinity for nature. It weighs the overall importance of the contemporary scientific zoological illustration.

This thesis deals with the development of graphical symbols on the control panels of machine tools made by Czech factories TOS from the years 1947–1990. The aim is description genesis graphics controllers and communicators of machine tools and their inclusion in the context of the development of graphic design. As well as determine the influence of design in area of operational graphics. This area has not yet been subjected to closer examination and in terms of consistency of the historical aspects of the Czech graphic is benefit to the future.

komerční hry. Zaměřuje se na jejich korespondenci s prezentovanými historickými událostmi a výukový potenciál. Práce vznikala v roce 2017 na základě vědeckých prací Bogosta, Chapmana, Juula a dalších, či vlastním výzkumem podpořeným dotazováním respondenty. V úvodní části se autor zaměřuje na dostupnou teorii a poznání jednak v oblasti výuky u her, jednak v oboru herních studií. V následující části se zabývá metodologií diplomové práce, průběhem vlastního výzkumu a dotazníkem. Autor se snaží komerčních her, vnějších vlivů, které formují jejich podobu a přístupu hráčů k tomuto žánru her. Zároveň se snaží zodpovědět otázky "do jaké míry jsou tituly série vzdělávací a jaký je vztah hráče a komerčního obsahu?" V předposlední části diplomové práce autor pracuje s historií prezentovanou akademickými odborníky. Následně podrobuje herní verzi srovnání a zabývá se také reprezentací historie v dalších typech médií. Na závěr seznamuje autor s povídá vytyčené otázky. V neposlední řadě pak na základě výsledků dotazování prezentuje vztah a vliv vybraných her na hráče.

The thesis "Position of the tabloid press in Switzerland on the example of Blick" deals with the position of tabloid press in general as well as with its development in Switzerland. There is a characteristic of the tabloid press and the necessary economical and social circumstances. The tabloid press is described from the point of view of its signs, form and the way it communicates with the audience. The thesis also describes the history and natural conditions of Switzerland that determinate the development of the press. Switzerland is the country with four official languages that might be regarded as an obstruction to the print media (for example Italian is spoken only by 6.5% of the total 7.785.000 population) on the other hand there is a potential of specialized audience and therefore custom made titles. The third chapter deals with the history of tabloid press in Switzerland on the example of the publishing house Ringier. The tabloid daily Blick has been a part of its portfolio since 1959 (circulation 214.880, audience according to Ringier 628.000). Ringier is one of the most powerful players on the media scene of Switzerland. The last chapter describes the general trend of the change of media towards tabloid type, the trend is supported by the Swiss media quality research done at Universität Zürich.

This paper deals with an analysis of biographical interviews with Roma survivors of Nazi persecution. The emphasis is put on different elements that may affect narrated life histories. It views memories from the initial remembering to their new contextualization throughout the life; it draws the attention to the narrative tradition of respondent's background as well as the final narration and its specific circumstances. The analysis is framed with the Czech compensation programs for victims of war injustice. The text points out to different perspectives of history adopted by state authorities on one side and those applying on "compensation" on the other. The paper also discusses mutual misunderstanding of different perspectives of the past, of an administrator/ historian and of an eye-witness.

In general, qualitative and quantitative outputs (number of contacts and treated clients, interventions, issued material, etc.) are also assessed, as well as their volume with previous periods, etc. Efficiency indicators often identified and determined by individual facilities; the standards have not yet assumed a unified form forspecific types of services. Tato práce zkoumá vliv kulturních a historických faktorů na současnou zahraničně - politickou situaci ve státech Latinské Ameriky. Jejím cílem je dosáhnout zjištění, jakým způsobem právě kulturní a historické faktory, prvky a fenomény ovlivňují současnou politickou situaci v tomto regionu tím, že působí na společenský vývoj. Práce vychází z výzkumu Geerta Hofstedeho, jeho kulturních dimenzí a indexů, jejichž důsledky se snaží interpretovat a zijšťuje, jak se projevují ve společnosti a jaký mají dále vliv na politickou situaci v těchto konkrétních oblastech: (1) Vliv kultury na politickou situaci a postavení demokracie v zemích Latinské Ameriky s hlubším zaměřením na situaci ve Venezuele, (2)Vliv feminismu a postavení žen v politice Latinské Ameriky, (3)Vzájemné mezinárodně - politické vztahy Evropy a Latinské Ameriky, (4)Integrace v Latinské Americe a (5) Vztah Latinské Ameriky ke Spojeným státům americkým. Dochází k závěru, že byly zjištěny významné souvislosti mezi působením kulturních a historických determinantů na politickou situaci v zemích Latinské Ameriky.
