Republicanism is often divided into neo-Roman and neo-Athenian versions. However, both traditions considered separately can provide only a limited and narrow understanding of republicanism and thus deprive the republican political theory of valuable insights. On the contrary, this thesis argues that it would be preferable, both historically and theoretically, to conceive of the neo-Roman and the neo-Athenian strands as branches of a single integrated republican tradition. The thesis begins with a methodological discussion focused on how such an integrated account might be formulated and explains its preference for a conceptual approach that follows the morphology-oriented methodology developed by Michael Freeden. The thesis proceeds to track down the earliest formulations of republican concepts in ancient Greece, then turns to the Roman usage of these concepts and analyses the similarities and differences between the two earliest appearances. The next part concentrates on development of these concepts during the early modern era of classical republicanism in Italy, England and America. Afterwards, the most prominent neo-Athenian and neo-Roman approaches are analysed and interrelated. This diploma thesis named Media image of the Prague Spring and beginning of normalization in selected East Bohemian print media shows the impact of Prague spring and beginning of normalization on chosen East Bohemian print media. Those are regional newspaper Pochoden, district newspaper Zar and magazine Spiritus, which was created and published by students of University of Chemical Technology in Pardubice city. Both regional newspaper Pochoden and district newspaper Zar were organs of Communist party of Czechoslovakia. For better understanding how big the change was I also worked with these three newspapers during the years 1967 and 1969 (beginning of normalization), so readers can understand how much the writing and content of media evolved during the year 1968. When possible (signed article) I tried to focuse on each journalist and his or hers evolve during analysed years. I was focusing not only on articles written by journalists, but during this time the newspapers published letters from readers, so I can compare which letters were published in 1967, 1968 and 1969. I have chosen this theme because I was born and raised at East Bohemia and my bachelor thesis worked with similar topic (Media image of the Velvet Revolution in Pardubice city), only this time I do not focus solely on Pardubice city....

The diploma thesis titled "The use of regional history in history classes with examples from Kladno region" deals with the topic of regional history, the history of the Kladno region and questionnaire about teaching regional history at schools in the Kladno region. It also offers a thought how this topic can be included in the history classes. One of the primary objectives of this thesis was to explain the importance of regional history and its inclusion in education. Relevant specialized literature was thoroughly analyzed for this purpose. The inclusion of this topic is especially important in order for the pupils to better understand various historical phenomena through an environment which is familiar to them. Another important objective was to find out whether regional history is being taught at all at schools in the Kladno region, what forms are used for this purpose, and which topics are included. In order to find the answers a questionnaire was sent to the teachers and pupils in the Kladno region. The results suggest that the majority of teachers attempt to include regional history in their history classes, even when faced with unfavorable time allotment. Diploma thesis Image of the Macedonian identity in the Macedonian history textbooks for primary schools brings an analysis of the history textbooks from the period since 80's till nowadays. The core of the text is analysis and previous chapters inform reader about the historiography in Republic of Macedonia, its relation to the state policy, other chapters speak about Macedonian identity and about the creation process of Macedonian textbooks and their importance for the process of building national identity. The analysis showed that the story of national history in textbooks have changed after the breakup of Yugoslavia. Brotherhood and unity of Yugoslavian nations disappeared together with dissolution of federation. After proclamation of independence of the new formed Republic of Macedonia historiography of the country have turned towards the antic history of Macedonia. Macedonians highly stress the difference between two antic nations - Macedonians and Greeks. The attitude to the Serbian nation changed as well and they are now evaluated the same foes of Macedonian nation as well as Bulgarians and Greeks. This thesis called "Television game shows and quiz shows in the Czech republic between 1989 - 2004" deals with the historical development of television game shows and quiz shows in the Czech republic in the first 15 years since the so- called Velvet revolution in 1989. The first, theoretical part outlines some basic terms related both to television game shows and quiz shows and to television entertainment in general. The second part summarizes television competitions in Czech TV stations in the given period from the historical point of view.

Denna studie syftar till att med hjälp av kvalitativ metod undersöka hur antisemitism kan ta sig uttryck i skolan och hur historielärare kan arbeta för att motverka detta. Studiens utgångspunkt är att ett arbete mot antisemitism är i linje med såväl skolans övergripande värdegrund som histo-rieämnets syfte och mål. Den kvalitativa undersökningen bestod av semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra informanter som var och en arbetar med antisemitismfrågor på myndighet, organisation och projekt. Intervjuerna analyserades sedan utifrån teorier om antisemitism som begrepp och fenomen samt historiedidaktiska teorier. Det empiriska materialet visade en övergripande samstämmighet i vad antisemitism innebär som fenomen och hur detta kan yttra sig i skolmiljön. Manifestationerna av antisemitism i skolan kan säkerligen tacklas på olika sätt och historielärare ska inte bära detta ansvar ensamt. Däremot utgår denna studie från att historieämnet lämpar sig för en undervisning mot antisemitism. Infor-manterna har därför fått resonera över vad en historielärare bör undervisa om för detta syfte. Em-pirin visar att informanterna mångt om mycket tar upp samma eller liknande resonemang. En av de mest utmärkande slutsatserna från studien är att undervisningen kräver att antisemitism sätts in i en större historisk kontext, detta gäller både historisk och nutida antisemitiska yttringar. Även undervisning om antisemitism utifrån ett kontinuitets- och förändringsperspektiv framkommer som en viktig del av detta. Fynden överensstämmer med den tidigare forskning som finns om undervis-ning mot antisemitism och Förintelseundervisning. De resultat och slutsatser som studien presenterar kan inte ses som fullt generaliserbara för undervisning mot antisemitism. Studien kan däremot peka lärare i rätt riktning i att både känna igen antisemitism i skolan och vad som kan undervisas om för att motverka den. Men även med de svårigheter som kan uppstå, och den komplexitet som läraren kan uppleva, i undervisningssi-tuationen. Studien kan utöver detta ge indikationer på vidare forskning inom ämnet.

This thesis deals with the development of graphical symbols on the control panels of machine tools made by Czech factories TOS from the years 1947–1990. The aim is description genesis graphics controllers and communicators of machine tools and their inclusion in the context of the development of graphic design. As well as determine the influence of design in area of operational graphics. This area has not yet been subjected to closer examination and in terms of consistency of the historical aspects of the Czech graphic is benefit to the future.

In my thesis, I will discuss the draft strategy for the management of business in society. The first part will discuss the theoretical knowledge related to retail. In the second part I introduce. I also worked with the cooperative Jednota, consumer cooperative in Mikulov, which gave me the necessary information so that I could analyze the current state of retail. Based on the current state of retail, I created a proposal for improvement.

Software projects go through a phase of maintenance and, in case of open source projects, through hard development process. Both of these phases are prone to regressions, meaning previously working parts of system do not work anymore. To avoid this behavior, systems are being tested with long test suites, which can be sometimes time consuming. For this reason, prediction models are developed to predict software regressions using historical testing data and code changes, to detect changes that can most likely cause regression and focus testing on such parts of code. But, these predictors rely on static code analysis without deeper semantic understanding of the code. Purpose of this master thesis is to create predictor, that relies not only on static code analysis, but provides decisions based on code semantics as well.
