A devoção masculina em torno da reza do terço tem inspirado o nascimento de diversos grupos em paróquias ao redor do mundo. Através do experienciar da fé, os devotos da Mãe Rainha de Schoenstatt saem do anonimato, chamando os homens das comunidades para participarem mais da vida religiosa, para assim vivenciarem o sagrado. Essa dissertação é um estudo etnográfico sobre um movimento que vem contribuindo para a construção de uma identidade católica através da participação masculina. O objetivo do presente estudo foi, dentro do contexto social pós-moderno que envolve mesmo a periferia do Recife, analisar o grupo religioso do Terço dos Homens, através de sua história, seus conflitos, sua relação com o divino, revestido das formas maternais da intermediação de Nossa Senhora. O que leva homens de diferentes histórias de vida a se unir em torno dessa prática de fé? O que os motiva a se reunirem semanalmente para a reza do terço? O que os faz retornar e permanecer na Igreja? Foram algumas indagações que nortearam essa pesquisa. Após esse estudo, confirmou-se que a busca pelo sagrado é parte importante no caminhar humano, na reconstrução das identidades de gênero e subjetividade em meio às crises de transformação social, na humanização de cada um e também do universo que o cerca. / The male devotion around the rosary prayer has inspired the birth of several groups in parishes around the world. Through the experience of faith, devotees of the Mother Queen of Schoenstatt leaves the anonymity, calling the men of the communities to participate more in religious life to experience the sacred . This thesis is an ethnographic study about a movement that has contributed to the construction of a Catholic identity through male participation. The aim of this study was within the postmodern social context that involves the periphery of Recife, analyze the religious group the Rosary of Men, through its history, its conflicts, its relationship with the divine, clothed with the forms of maternal mediation of Our Lady. What takes men of different backgrounds to unite around this practice of faith? What motivates them to meeting weekly to pray the Rosary? What does return and remain in the Church? These were some questions that guided this research. After this study, it was confirmed that the search for the sacred is an important part in human walking, the reconstruction of gender identities and subjectivity amid the crisis of social transformation, the humanization of each and also the universe that surrounds you.
