The writer of this essay has chosen this topic, which is very important for all interpreters. Mostly it is about the view to work with score of piano music, its understanding and successful presentation to audience. The chosen topic requires applying of several methods that writer uses, e.g.: analyses of music script, experiment, confrontation of performance, generalizing of own and foreign experiences, intuition, which is very important for understanding of productions. The essay is divided into three parts. The first one is about the history of music score and work necessity of performer. The writer thinks that music score has a dualistic character. It does not explicitly express, what is needed for a real interpretation. In this part, the write thinks of music score from different views. Interpretative and art connection, the way from the first idea of musician to the ear and soul of listener - that is the point, which connects the whole part. The writer is concerned on questions of interpretative history, interpretative tradition, level of interpretation that are very important for all interpreters. Further the thesis describes present activities of PKF – Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. At the end of the thesis there is an interview with PhDr. Ilja Šmíd – the main director who was one of the most important persons of this orchestra in its beginning.

The aim of the thesis is to deal with a complex description of tasks and processes regarding the entire musical preparation period of an opera production by a conductor. All actions are described from a practical point of view giving a clear insight in the ideal and desirable form of rehearsing and time management. At the same time, common shortcomings and difficulties that disrupt the ideal state are introduced.
An anaylysis of the choice of the right voice types precedes a linear description of the rehearsal process, checkpoint meetings and finally the stage rehearsal period. A special attetion is devoted to the tasks and functional profile of the conductor's assistant. A detailed description of past theatre practices and current form of the assistant's work is given together with an outline of his contribution to the superior level of the production.

This dissertation is supposed to bring a complete picture of Verdi’s opera production pointing out some details which are not commonly known nor from the public nor in the professional music world. What appears in this work is Verdi’s correspondence (letters). I consider these letters an authentic source to understand Verdi’s creative and artistic intentions. Hereafter I portray an idea of how to perceive opera Falstaff not only from my point of view but I used the lead from the Italian reviews and musicology.

The Czech Nonet was faunded in 1924 by a group of students of the Prague Conservatory and it is one of the longest continuously performing chamber ensemble in the world. The ensemble´s instrumentation is based on Spohr´s Grand Nonetto Op.31: violin, viola, cello, contrabass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn. The Czech Nonet was quickly recognized as both an important interpreter of classic repertoire and an ardent champion of new music, inspiring the composition of more than 300 works by some of the greatest living composers, including Prokofiev, Lutoslawski, Martinů, etc. The Czech Nonet has made numerous concert tours round Europe ( Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and France), North and South Americas, Japan, Africa and has performed at many world-famous music platforms, such as : Musikverein Vienna, Montreaux Auditorium Starvinskij, the Munich Herkulessaal, the Auditorio de Zaragoza, the Lyon Auditorium, the Washington Library of Congress, the Vancouver Playhouse,the Dvořák hall at the Prague Rudolphinum etc. The Czech Nonet´s rich discography has been recorded by the Supraphon, Panton and Harmonia Mundi recording companies on forty-five LP´s and CD´s.

Master´s Thesis - French Harp Virtuoses and Their Compossitional Contribution - is focused on a harpist, since the invention of single action harp, starting with Jean-Pierre Bauer to Dominiga Bouchaud, the harpist who represents the second half of the twentieth century. These artists often came from harpist families in which this craft ( harp), like in other fields was inherited to next genaration. The French virtuoses were active solo and chamber players, pedagogues, theorists and innovators of harp mechanism. They contributed to the expansion of harp repertoire, thanks to their original works as well as transcription of works that were not originally written for harp. The´ve written many harp´s methods, which have helped in improving technigue of many students, these methods are still in use not only in France at present time.
