Vývoj pracovní migrace do České republiky v letech 2003 – 2013 / DEVELOPMENT OF LABOUR MIGRATION INTO THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN THE YEARS 2003 - 2013

Huňová, Petra January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of labor migration into the Czech Republic in the years 2003 -- 2013 and verifies the hypothesis that the amount of the labor immigrants into the Czech Republic is increasing. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to migration, and since labor migration has the biggest impact on the labor market, it must also deals with the theory of the labor market For a deeper understanding of immigration there are explained economic theories, which deal with this issue. The legislative measures of the host country is an important factor for immigration, and therefore this topic devoted an entire chapter. The biggest added value of this work brings the fifth chapter, which deals with foreigners on the Czech labor market. The hypothesis was confirmed only partly because the number of immigrants was growing only until 2008. After that began the economic recession and many foreigners left the country, which was also caused by changes in legislation. However, economic growth is again expected influx of immigrants, and also due to the fact that the Czech government supports by its projects legal employment of foreigners in our country.

Legal immigration - the specifics of national minorities in the Czech Republic. / Legální imigrace - specifika národnostních menšin v České republice.

Oulická, Zdeňka January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with legal immigration in the Czech Republic. The aim is to answer the question of whether migration is always mainly economic, that is, whether the main motive for migration is economic activity in the territory, or whether there are differences between different ethnic groups. The chosen method was the comparison of economic development and migration flows in selected countries in comparison with the Czech Republic. Furthermore the subject is an analysis of the economic activities of foreigners in the labor force and flexibility of the labor market in relation to the current economical crisis. The outcome of the thesis is the fact that Ukraine and Vietnam are typical representatives of countries with economic immigration and that motives for migration from Russia are not economical. An interesting finding of this work is the fact that even a restrictive policy of the state to protect the labor market did not affect a number of citizens in foreign territory (Czech Republic), only it reduced their total employment.

Občanská integrace přistěhovalců ve Francii v letech 2002-2012. / Civic Integration of Immigrants in France between 2002-2012

Simbartlová, Anna January 2016 (has links)
The Master thesis "Civic Integration of Immigrants in France between 2002-2012" deals with a new integration model of civic integration which the European immigration countries have begun to enforce since the turn of the millennium. An interesting feature of this model is that it is employed by countries whose approch to the integration of immigrants significantly differed till the end of the 20th century. The goal of the thesis is to discover what character shows the civic integration as a new integration model of immigrants in Europe in the integration policies applied in France between 2002-2012. The main hypothesis is based on the theory of the return of assimilation. Its author R. Brubaker claims that in the current integration policies of (not only) European states, the assimilationist tendencies return - however, not in the original concept of assimilation, but in a new transformed concept in between assimilation and multiculturalism. The thesis applies this theory conclusion to the contemporary civic integration policies, so the research verifies its assimilationist character. According to the method specially compiled for this research, the results prove that the integration measures accepted in France between 2002-2012 show a development from a moderate to considerable assimilationist...

Americký Kongres a neúspěšné pokusy o komplexní imigrační reformu: srovnávací studie předložených návrhů z let 2007 a 2013 / U. S. Congress and the Failed Comprehensive Immigration Reform: Comparative Study of 2007 and 2013 Proposals

Kristenová, Alice January 2018 (has links)
This master's thesis focuses on the inability of the U. S. Congress to pass a comprehensive immigration reform. The main goal of the thesis is identification of key factors that prevent successful passage of this legislation. Two latest immigration reform proposals from 2007 and 2013 were selected for the research. To analyze them, process tracing was used. This method allows for better understanding of the legislative development. As an analytical framework, approach of John W. Kingdon was selected. His revised garbage can model of organizational choice applied to congressional decision making identifies three process streams that are critical for passing legislation in Congress - problem definition, policy generation and politics. Firstly, Kingdon's framework is described and then applied to the selected immigration reform proposals case studies. Emphasis is put on identification of factors that play key role in generating and passing the policy. Then, both case studies are compared to allow for more general inference. The key finding of the thesis is that the political stream is crucial to passing comprehensive immigration reform. Based on the comparative case study, political skills of leaders and political context significantly influence the ability of Congress to act on the immigration...

Vzdělávání imigrantů ve Švédsku a v Česku / Education of immigrants in Sweden and Czechia

Vosejpková, Tereza January 2019 (has links)
Sweden is known as immigration country for a few decades already, but the number of immigrants has rapidly grown during the last years making Sweden one of the European countries with the greatest share of immigrants on total population. In opposite, Czechia is far behind traditional immigrant countries with its number of newcomers, but after joining the European Union, the country has transformed from emigrant to transit and later even to immigrant state with the greatest number of newcomers among Central European states. With immigration, the issue of new minorities and their relation with the majority of society have appeared. The policy of education plays a crucial role in this issue because it has the potential to form society and affect all generations including immigrants. The aim of the thesis is to analyse possibilities of education if immigrants with the emphasis on integration in the education system and compare both countries thorough legislation, observation and interviews with representants of primary schools. The hypothesis that the Swedish approach to immigrant education is more developed than the Czech one was approved by greater possibilities of Swedish newcomers, especially in the education of mother tongue, obligation of Swedish language courses, and flexibility in integration...

Historie synantropní flóry a vegetace ČR / Tracing the history of synanthropic flora and vegetation in the Czech Republic

Pokorná, Adéla January 2017 (has links)
1 Abstract Plant macro remains from archaeological situations were studied in order to trace the history of gradual formation of today's synanthropic vegetation. Synanthropic plants represent a heterogeneous group of species with various qualities and strategies, as well as with various immigration histories. In general, the synanthropic flora is rich in aliens, so it is important to know, when exactly these species immigrated to our territory (to know their residence time). Besides the determination of the residence time of alien plants, also the dynamics of formation of urban flora and vegetation was studied. Special attention was paid to the Medieval Period, when the urbanisation process started. The emergence of urban agglomeration may have been the cause of the emergence of new habitats, followed by formation of new plant associations - the predecessors of the today's ones. In general, towns represent a special case of anthropogenic environment with many various synanthropic habitats, causing their species richness. Questions 1. When exactly the synanthropic flora of medieval towns emerged? Was the transition from the Prehistory to the Medieval Period rather gradual or sudden? 2. What particular species took place in the medieval change of synanthropic vegetation? Where did these species come from? Was...

Imigrace z Kuby, Venezuely a Brazílie do České republiky od roku 1993 po současnost / Immigration from Cuba, Venezuela, and Brazil to the Czech Republic from the year 1993 to the present

Nováková, Zuzana January 2020 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is immigration from Venezuela, Brazil and Cuba to the Czech Republic from the year 1993 to the present. Political events in Venezula in recent years have increased migration to the neighboring states in region. Therefore, we could expect also increase in immigration from Venezuela to the Czech Republic. Even though the increase did really occur, the population of Venezuelans in the Czech Republic is not so large (mainly due to geographical distance and language barrier) in this diploma thesis will also appear immigration from Brazil and Cuba. Brazil was chosen mainly because the population of Brazilians living in the Czech Republic is the largest of all Latin American countries. Another difference between Venezuela and Brazil is the different mother tongue of immigrants. The last nationality represented are Cubans, whose immigration history to the Czech Republic or originally to the Czechoslovakia differs. During the socialist era, many Cubans lived here due to intergovernmental agreements of Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. Which cannot be said about Venezuelans and Brazilians at that time. According to statistics, even in the mid 1990's, only dozens of Venezuelans and Brazilians lived in the Czech Republic. While at this time lived hundreds of Cubans in the Czech...

Imigrace do Itálie v letech 2005 - 2009 a role EU: Pohled italských politických stran / Immigration to Italy in the years 2005 - 2009 and the role of the EU: A View of Italian political parties

Bořkovec, Matouš January 2011 (has links)
The thesis inquires into the stances of italian political parties towards the issue of immigration in the years 2005 - 2009 with a particular concern for the role of the EU in this policy area. Using a theoretical clasification of Zincone the thesis analyses parties' documents, electoral programmes and newspaper articles in order to identify the main issues and approaches adopted by the italian parties during the selected time period. The thesis proves to some measure the hypothesis that right- wing parties adopt mainly functionalist, legalitarian and identitarian approaches to immigration, whilst left-wing parties adopt solidarist, human-rights based and multiculturalist approach. In the run of the selected time period there was an increasement in the security rhetorics even by left-wing parties, so a political competition for ownership of the security issue was observed. Also a hypothesis was partially proved that left-wing parties want the EU migration and asylum policy to have a wide impact, whilst the right-wing parties want mainly the EU to help the member-state with the fight against illegal immigration and with negotiating readmission agreements.
