The thesis focuses on the concept of information management, its history and definition by various authors and also according to Cobit 5 methodology particularly its part Cobit 5: Enabling Information. The aim of the thesis is the application of Cobit 5 information model on a specific problem with information in the selected company and assessing the suitability of this application.

This diploma thesis deals with the use of Competitive Intelligence methods in the case of a particular company. The aim of the thesis is to improve the current process of obtaining information about competition and its use in strategic decision making of the company management using CI methods. The first part of the thesis analyzes the current situation of XYZ Company and defines the problem for the subsequent solution. The next part deals with general theoretical assumptions and introduction of different methods and approaches to solution. Then follows the application part of the work in which it applies the selected Competitive Intelligence method to the needs of the company. In conclusion, the final proposal for the solution of the problem is evaluated and there are presented the benefits that this implementation brought to the company.

The content of this work is the elaboration of a technology-oriented project for the construction of an apartment building with four above-ground floors in Blansko. This project includes a technical report, road mapping solutions, technological regulations, a drawing and technical report of the building site equipment, a timetable, a design of the machine assembly, control and test plans, a material resource assurance plan, and a technical report on health and safety at the building site.

First part is focused on theoretical knowledge from the field of information systems, legislation of retail, process and analytical tools to understand the whole topic. The diploma thesis deals with the problem of finding weak points and risk analysis of a part of the information system at the municipal office of the Brno-Líšeň district, which deals with the issue of the organization of elections, namely the administrative provision and the constitution of the district electoral commissions. The thesis is based on the theoretical apparatus in the field of information systems, database systems and risk engineering. The thesis used the analysis of the Czech legal norms for the organization and conduct of elections and the specific conditions of the chosen type of municipal office.

This master thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of current condition of information system in chosen company which deals with manufacturing in energy industry. On the basis of gained informations propose changes which will lead to the elimination of potencial shortcomings.

The main topic of the thesis is the analysis of the possibilities of linking building and economic software and software for technical drawing, in which BIM models are created, in order to achieve automatization of BIM model budgeting. The specifics of classical methods and their shortcomings in the context of contemporary construction are described. In the following part of the thesis the BIM budgeting concept, its vision and related aspects are discussed in more detail. The actual draft of the solution of interconnection of price systems and software, in which the BIM model is created, with orientation on valuation automation, is presented in the final, practical part of this thesis. Requirements for solution are defined and the procedure of its creation is described. Finally, the solution is tested and evaluated.

This diploma thesis deals with suitable choice of Human Resources control informational system serving a larger technological company. It also contains processing of chosen analysis to identify shortcomings in problematic fields of the company. Obtained pieces of knowledge are used to the solution proposal in context of the issues of choice and following implementation of informational systems into the company.
