This thesis is a an idea that derives from Eniro AB. The idea was to makean application for mobile devices that would make it easier for the user tostay in touch with friends. The application should be able to gather informationof the phone’s contacts by searching Eniro for their phone numberand present the information in a simple and convenient way. Because ofthe authors’ previous experience in Java programming the application wasmade for Android devices. Android provides a software development kitwith necessary tools and documentation for developing applications withthe Java programming language. The result is an application that is able to search Eniro for all contacts inthe phone book and store them in a database. These are then presented inboth a list view and a map view. The list is sorted with the person livingclosest to the user’s location at the top. From the list view the user has theoption to either call the contact or send a text message. The map view containsa map with markers at the contacts’ locations. By clicking the markercertain information will be shown in a window. There are still some bugs to fix and features to implement. Possible improvementsto the application could be functions for finding restaurants andcafes nearby and a less time consuming synchronization. Since the projectwas to be done within a limited period of time and the authors did not haveany previous experience of Android development the application should beconsidered as a prototype.

There are different problems associated with a static website, such as management and content update. To address these problems, one alternative is to use Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress. This project describes the process of migrating a static website to WordPress and adding six additional functionalities according to requirements from a company. In the meantime, theme is used to customize the website based on company’s requirements; specific WordPress plugins and widgets are used to implement additional requirements, including submenus, user registration and login, content update, Facebook and Twitter integration, and RSS support for the new content. Besides, solutions are given to resolve problems, such as the conflict with Internet Explorer (IE) and WordPress security issues. The outcome of this work allows the company to use WordPress to manage the website, to publish automatically new content into online social networking services, to provide customized information to registered users as well as to allow web syndication.Key words: Content Management System, Solution Stack, Static and dynamic website, WordPress

The goal of this thesis is to overview the different multi-core programming models and technologies. Nowadays multi-core systems are more and more popular. Personal computers usually are based on multi-core technology since some years ago so it is needed some technologies for implementing it. In this thesis, we have studied several models and technologies of multi-core programming. We have also studied and presented a comparison of the models and technologies. Furthermore, we have shown the installation and configuration instructions for the two main technologies (OpenMP and MPI).

A modern home contains varieties of electronic equipment and systems like: TV, Hi-fi equipment, central heating systems, fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, lighting systems etc. Enabling these devices to communicate is the first step towards the long-predicted smart home, but this requires communication standards to follow. It can be anticipated that the technology must be wireless in order for such network to be feasible.  Large set of standards are present for as well wired as wireless communication in between such devices, but today no standard communication interface available.   The goal of this project is to survey available standards for short-range wireless communication, and to evaluate and compare their capabilities to become a general standard for home automation. The evaluation must take such aspects as security, range, network architecture and the heterogeneous set of devices into consideration. Furthermore, this thesis proposes how to interconnect the home network to the external network for remote supervision and control.

Kraven på dagens företag har ökat markant de senaste åren. För dagens företag är det viktigt att hela tiden kunna mäta sig och helst även vara steget före sina konkurrenter. En viktig del i detta är att ha rätt typ av kompetens inom olika områden och positioner inom det egna företaget. För att uppnå det är det idag vanligt att företagen arrangerar traineeprogram. I denna uppsats beskrivs problematiken vid kunskapsöverföring till en trainee och de problemområden som finns kring den processen. För att kunna utforma ett väl fungerande traineeprogram från företagets sida är det mycket viktigt att förstå vilka mål som företaget vill uppnå genom att genomföra ett traineeprogram. Vårt tillvägagångssätt och metodval var att intervjua personer som genomgått fallföretagets traineeprogram. Vi formulerat vårt problem som är; Hur överförs kunskap till trainees inom vårt fallföretag idag och kan den förbättras? Under arbetets gång upptäckte vi brister i fallföretagets traineeprogram men vi fann även många positiva delar. Empiri avsnittet gav oss mycket värdefull kunskap som vi hade nytta av i analys samt slutsats avsnittet. I vår slutsats redovisar vi olika förslag och rekommendationer till möjliga åtgärder beträffande metodval för kunskapsöverföring.

Denna rapport beskriver ett projekt med målet att utveckla ett elektroniskt skyttesystem utifrån mindre kostsamma standardkomponenter. Det utvecklade systemet avses inneha funktionalitet som är jämförbar med befintliga sådana system. En utredning av det utvecklade systemets precision ämnas utföras, och om precisionen visar sig vara undermålig behöver en utredning ge förslag på ytterligare hårdvara som krävs för att nå en högre sådan. Projektet resulterade i ett delvis sammankopplat, fungerande system. Systemet består av fysiska komponenter, en databas och en visningsklientsapplikation som bearbetar och presenterar data. Systemets fysiska komponenter innefattar fyra mikrofoner och en Raspberry Pi 2-enhet. Mikrofonerna registrerar ljudankomster och signalerar dessa till Raspberry-enheten, som sparar data i databasen. Denna data hämtas, bearbetas och visualiseras av visningsklienten.Systemet saknar i nuläget en fysisk träffyta, och precisionsbrister hos dess fysiska komponenter resulterar i opålitliga resultat, då mätvärden är okonsekventa utifrån upprepade träffar på en specifik position. / This report describes a project with the goal of developing an electronic scoring system from less costly standard components. The developed system means to have comparable functionality to existing such systems. An analysis of the developed system's precision is intended to be performed, and if the precision is found to be substandard an investigation needs suggest further hardware necessary for reaching a higher one.The project resulted in a partially connected, functioning system. The system consists of physical components, a database and a visual client application that processes and presents data. The system's physical components comprise four microphones and a Raspberry Pi 2 unit. The microphones register sound arrivals and signal these to the Raspberry unit, which saves data in the database. This data is retrieved, processed and presented by the visual client.The system currently lacks a physical target surface, and precision flaws in the system's physical components result in unreliable results, since readings are inconsistent from repeated hits at a specific position.

Myndigheter hanterar personuppgifter i olika former och har en rad olika regler, policyn och riktlinjer för att hantera informationen på ett varsamt sätt och hålla den konfidentiell. Många studier riktar in sig på att undersöka vad de bästa riktlinjerna är, men väldigt få studier undersöker hur myndighetspersonerna faktiskt agerar i vissa situationer.Denna studie fokuserar på anställda inom två myndigheter, en statlig myndighet samt en myndighetsutövande kommun i Skaraborg. Studien kartlägger potentiellt riskbeteende hos myndighetspersoner med avseende på IT-säkerhet. För att undersöka detta, har en kvalitativ intervjuenkät identifierats där fyra personer från varje myndighet besvarar frågor samt identifierar risker utifrån sex olika scenarier.Resultatet visar att myndighetspersoner ser ett högt värde i att applicera lagar, förordningar, policyn och rutiner men har svårt att applicera dessa regler i praktiken och svårt att urskilja vad som är rätt och fel i varje specifik händelse. Resultatet visar även att det inte är så många risker i beteendet hos myndighetspersoner, men många av deltagarna upplever att det slarvas när det gäller att tillämpa vissa rutiner och policyn.

This dissertation describes a project to create an electronic shooting system made of simple and inexpensive components, namely a Raspberry Pi computer and sound detectors. The initial goals are to create a system that can be used with an acceptable precision. Secondly a performance analysis will be carried out to determine the precision that can be obtained using these components. The project was developed into three modules: back-end, Cloud and front-end. The back-end is used to gather the information of a projectile on the target, calculate the coordinates and send it to the Cloud. The Cloud acts as the interface between the back-end with the front-end. Lastly the front-end is the Viewer Client that presents the score and positon at which the projectile hit the target. After developing all the components and applications there was a functional system, but not a reliable system. This combination of Raspberry Pi and sound detectors were not good enough to obtain the precision required for the system to work as an electronic scoring system.

Nu för tiden blir virtualisering och molntjänster allt mer populärt bland företag. Författarens syfte med uppsatsen är att utreda vilka restriktioner ett regulativt bundet företag har vid övergång till virtualisering av de operativa systemen och vilka alternativ som är att föredra. Författaren har använt sig av kvalitativa intervjuer och litteraturstudier. Intervjuerna har genomförts på företaget med lämpliga personer för undersökningen och litteratur studierna bestod av kurslitteratur, vetenskapliga artiklar och webbsidor inom studiens ämnesområde. Resultatet visar att företaget i fråga kan virtualisera det operativa systemet inom flygtrafiktjänst och att ett Private Cloud är det bästa alternativet. Detta examensarbete vänder sig till företag som är regulativt bundna och där säkerheten är en stor faktor samt företag som överväger en övergång till virtualisering av system och användning av molntjänster. Undersökningen begränsas till huruvida ett specifikt företag kan virtualisera det mest centrala och regulativa systemet på företaget. Om och hur andra företag kan tillämpa samma lösning är inget författaren har tagit fram och inte heller hur frågan besvaras från molnleverantörers sida. / Virtualization and Cloud Computing is getting more and more popular nowadays. The author’s purpose with this thesis is to investigate what restrictions a regulative bound company has to deal with in a conversion to virtualizing the operative system and which Cloud solutions is the most preferable. The author has used qualitative interviews and literature studies. The interviews were held at the company with the appropriate people for the survey and literature studies consist of education literature, scientific articles and websites in the area of the subject. The result shows that the investigated company can virtualize their operating system and that a Private Cloud is the best solution. This thesis can be used by companies that are regulative bound and where security is a major factor as well as companies that are considering virtualize their systems and using cloud computing. This investigation is limited to whether a specific company can virtualize the most central and regulative system they have. If and how other companies can apply the same solution is not something this thesis will answer to, nor how the question is answered from cloud providers.
