This way, the main objective is to explain that, since the announcement of the pensiero debole [1983], the route walked by Vattimo until the present has the ethics as the recurrent subject in his various texts. Considering this, it is defended that Vattimo s speech strives to posit a close implication between the ethics instance and criticism of the Metaphysics, with a speech that refuses, beside Heidegger and Nietzsche, the logic of metaphysical foundations, toward reasons strictly ethical. As a bibliographical research, the books were selected by their closeness with the definition of the general lines of research and, appropriately, met an exposition method of the conceptual movement that unifies most of the sources used. The originality of the thesis was traced based on assertion of ethics as a fundamental dimension of the ontology dell attualità vattimiana. This premise was not sufficiently researched by the philosophical literature and, despite the fact that the issue of ethics has already addressed on Vattimo thought, the previous researches were restricted to works published, by Vattimo himself, on the subject (ethics). Here the proposal was not limited to the interpretative analysis of the works that dealt directly with the problems of ethics. Therefore, Vattimo s description of his today's ontology is inspired essentially in the ethical problem, because he shows, in his reflections, a total dissatisfaction with the political, ethical, religious, social, aesthetic situations, making the ethical reason the sole serious reason for Philosophy. / A presente tese investiga a dimensão ética como premissa fundamental da ontologia da atualidade de Gianni Vattimo. Defende-se que a Ética constitui a motivação originária de sua produção filosófica e até das ulteriores leituras que Vattimo elabora sobre a política, a estética, a religião, dentre outras temáticas pertinentes a sua reflexão sobre a condição pós-moderna. Assim se objetiva explicitar que o itinerário especulativo de Vattimo, percorrido desde o anúncio do pensiero debole [1983] até o presente, tem a ética como temática recorrente em seus diversos ensaios. Daí se defender que o discurso de Gianni Vattimo se esforça por estabelecer uma estreita implicação entre a instância ética e a crítica à Metafísica, um discurso que recusa, ao lado de Heidegger e também de Nietzsche, a lógica de fundamentação metafísica por razões estritamente éticas. Por se tratar de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, as obras são escolhidas pela pertinência com a definição das linhas gerais da pesquisa e, de maneira apropriada, atendem ao método de exposição do movimento conceitual que unifica , diga-se de passagem, grande parte das fontes utilizadas. O aspecto de originalidade da tese foi traçado com base na afirmação da ética como dimensão fundamental da ontologia dell attualità vattimiana. Essa premissa não foi tematizada suficientemente pela literatura filosófica e, embora se tenha abordado o tema da ética em Vattimo, o discurso se restringiu ao conjunto de obras publicadas, por ele, sobre o assunto. Por isso, a proposta não se limita à análise interpretativa do conjunto de obras que tratam diretamente da problemática da ética. Portanto, a pretensão de Vattimo de uma ontologia da atualidade é essencialmente inspirada no problema ético, pois demonstra, em suas reflexões, um total descontentamento com a situação política, ética, religiosa, estética, social, tornando o motivo ético o único motivo sério para a Filosofia.
